Psalms 141
1 Lord, I cry unto you: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto you.
Nkosi, ngiyakhala kuwe; phangisa uze kimi; beka indlebe elizwini lami lapho ngikhala kuwe.
2 Let my prayer be set forth before you as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
Umkhuleko wami kawumiswe njengempepha phambi kwakho, ukuphakanyiswa kwezandla zami njengomnikelo wakusihlwa.
3 Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
Nkosi, bekela umlomo wami umlindi, gcina umnyango wendebe zami.
4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practice wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.
Ungaphenduleli inhliziyo yami entweni embi, ukuthi ngenze izenzo ezimbi kanye labantu abenza ububi, ngingadli ezibilibocweni zabo.
5 Let the righteous strike me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.
Olungileyo kangitshaye ethandwenilomusa, angisole; kuzakuba ngamafutha ekhanda, ikhanda lami kalingawali, ngoba lomkhuleko wami usezakuba sezinhluphekweni zabo.
6 When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.
Abahluleli babo baphoselwa emaceleni edwala, bazakuzwa amazwi ami ngoba amnandi.
7 Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cuts and cleaves wood upon the earth. (Sheol h7585)
Amathambo ethu ahlakazekile emlonyeni wengcwaba njengobandayo adabule emhlabathini. (Sheol h7585)
8 But mine eyes are unto you, O GOD the Lord: in you is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.
Kodwa amehlo ami akuwe, Jehova, Nkosi; ngithembele kuwe; ungawuchayi umphefumulo wami.
9 Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.
Ngigcina emandleni omjibila abangibekele wona, lezithiyo zabenzi bobubi.
10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I likewise escape.
Ababi kabawele emambuleni abo kanye, ngize ngidlule mina.
