Psalms 139
1 O lord, you have searched me, and known me.
Para el músico principal. Un salmo de David. Yahvé, tú me has buscado, y tú me conoces.
2 You know my sitting down and mine rising up, you understand my thought far off.
Tú sabes que me siento y me levanto. Percibes mis pensamientos desde lejos.
3 You compass my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.
Buscas mi camino y mi descanso, y están familiarizados con todos mis caminos.
4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, you know it altogether.
Porque no hay una palabra en mi lengua, pero he aquí, Yahvé, que tú lo sabes todo.
5 You have beset me behind and before, and laid your hand upon me.
Me rodeas por detrás y por delante. Me pusiste la mano encima.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
Este conocimiento me supera. Es elevado. No puedo conseguirlo.
7 Where shall I go from your spirit? or where shall I flee from your presence?
¿A dónde podría ir desde tu Espíritu? ¿O dónde podría huir de tu presencia?
8 If I ascend up into heaven, you are there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, you are there. (Sheol h7585)
Si subo al cielo, tú estás allí. Si hago mi cama en el Seol, ¡he aquí que estás tú! (Sheol h7585)
9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Si tomo las alas de la aurora, y se asientan en los confines del mar,
10 Even there shall your hand lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.
hasta allí me llevará tu mano, y tu mano derecha me sostendrá.
11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
Si digo: “Seguramente las tinieblas me abrumarán. La luz que me rodea será la noche”.
12 Yea, the darkness hides not from you; but the night shines as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to you.
ni siquiera la oscuridad se esconde de ti, pero la noche brilla como el día. La oscuridad es como la luz para ti.
13 For you have possessed my reins: you have covered me in my mother's womb.
Porque tú formaste mi ser más íntimo. Me tejiste en el vientre de mi madre.
14 I will praise you; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are your works; and that my soul knows right well.
Te daré las gracias, porque estoy hecho de manera temible y maravillosa. Sus obras son maravillosas. Mi alma lo sabe muy bien.
15 My substance was not hid from you, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the low parts of the earth.
Mi marco no se ocultó de ti, cuando me hicieron en secreto, tejidas en las profundidades de la tierra.
16 your eyes did see my substance, yet being imperfect; and in your book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
Tus ojos vieron mi cuerpo. En su libro estaban todos escritos, los días que fueron ordenados para mí, cuando todavía no había ninguno.
17 How precious also are your thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
¡Qué preciosos son para mí tus pensamientos, Dios! ¡Qué enorme es su suma!
18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with you.
Si quisiera contarlos, son más numerosos que la arena. Cuando me despierto, todavía estoy contigo.
19 Surely you will slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, all of you bloody men.
Si tú, Dios, mataras a los malvados. ¡Aléjense de mí, sanguinarios!
20 For they speak against you wickedly, and your enemies take your name in vain.
Porque hablan contra ti con maldad. Tus enemigos toman tu nombre en vano.
21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate you? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against you?
Yahvé, ¿no odio a los que te odian? ¿No estoy afligido por los que se levantan contra ti?
22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
Los odio con un odio perfecto. Se han convertido en mis enemigos.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
Escúchame, Dios, y conoce mi corazón. Pruébame y conoce mis pensamientos.
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Mira si hay algún camino perverso en mí, y guíame por el camino eterno.
