Psalms 139

1 O lord, you have searched me, and known me.

۱ برای سالار مغنیان. مزمور داود ای خداوند مرا آزموده وشناخته‌ای.

2 You know my sitting down and mine rising up, you understand my thought far off.

۲ تو نشستن و برخاستن مرا می‌دانی و فکرهای مرا از دور فهمیده‌ای.

3 You compass my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.

۳ راه و خوابگاه مرا تفتیش کرده‌ای و همه طریق های مرا دانسته‌ای.

4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, you know it altogether.

۴ زیرا که سخنی بر زبان من نیست، جز اینکه تو‌ای خداوند آن را تمام دانسته‌ای.

5 You have beset me behind and before, and laid your hand upon me.

۵ از عقب و از پیش مرا احاطه کرده‌ای و دست خویش را بر من نهاده‌ای.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

۶ این‌گونه معرفت برایم زیاده عجیب است. و بلند است که بدان نمی توانم رسید.

7 Where shall I go from your spirit? or where shall I flee from your presence?

۷ از روح تو کجا بروم؟ و از حضور تو کجابگریزم؟

8 If I ascend up into heaven, you are there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, you are there. (Sheol h7585)

۸ اگر به آسمان صعود کنم، تو آنجاهستی! و اگر در هاویه بستر بگسترانم اینک توآنجا هستی! (Sheol h7585)

9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

۹ اگر بالهای سحر را بگیرم و دراقصای دریا ساکن شوم،

10 Even there shall your hand lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.

۱۰ در آنجا نیز دست تومرا رهبری خواهد نمود و دست راست تو مراخواهد گرفت.

11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

۱۱ و گفتم: «یقین تاریکی مرا خواهدپوشانید.» که در حال شب گرداگرد من روشنایی گردید.

12 Yea, the darkness hides not from you; but the night shines as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to you.

۱۲ تاریکی نیز نزد تو تاریک نیست و شب مثل روز روشن است و تاریکی و روشنایی یکی است.

13 For you have possessed my reins: you have covered me in my mother's womb.

۱۳ زیرا که تو بر دل من مالک هستی؛ مرا دررحم مادرم نقش بستی.

14 I will praise you; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are your works; and that my soul knows right well.

۱۴ تو را حمد خواهم گفت زیرا که به طور مهیب و عجیب ساخته شده‌ام. کارهای تو عجیب است و جان من این رانیکو می‌داند.

15 My substance was not hid from you, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the low parts of the earth.

۱۵ استخوانهایم از تو پنهان نبودوقتی که در نهان ساخته می‌شدم و در اسفل زمین نقشبندی می‌گشتم.

16 your eyes did see my substance, yet being imperfect; and in your book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

۱۶ چشمان تو جنین مرا دیده است و در دفتر تو همه اعضای من نوشته شده، درروزهایی که ساخته می‌شد، وقتی که یکی از آنهاوجود نداشت.

17 How precious also are your thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

۱۷ ‌ای خدا، فکرهای تو نزد من چه قدر گرامی است و جمله آنها چه عظیم است!

18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with you.

۱۸ اگر آنها رابشمارم، از ریگ زیاده است. وقتی که بیدارمی شوم هنوز نزد تو حاضر هستم.

19 Surely you will slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, all of you bloody men.

۱۹ یقین‌ای خدا شریران را خواهی کشت. پس‌ای مردمان خون ریز از من دور شوید.

20 For they speak against you wickedly, and your enemies take your name in vain.

۲۰ زیرا سخنان مکرآمیز درباره تو می‌گویند و دشمنانت نام تو رابه باطل می‌برند.

21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate you? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against you?

۲۱ ‌ای خداوند آیا نفرت نمی دارم از آنانی که تو را نفرت می‌دارند، و آیامخالفان تو را مکروه نمی شمارم؟

22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

۲۲ ایشان را به نفرت تام نفرت می‌دارم. ایشان را دشمنان خویشتن می‌شمارم.

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

۲۳ ‌ای خدا مرا تفتیش کن و دل مرا بشناس. مرابیازما و فکرهای مرا بدان،

24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

۲۴ و ببین که آیا در من راه فساد است! و مرا به طریق جاودانی هدایت فرما.
