Psalms 13

1 How long will you forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long will you hide your face from me?

Salmo de Davi, para o regente: Até quando, SENHOR, te esquecerás de mim? Para sempre? Até quando tu esconderás de mim o teu rosto?

2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

Até quando refletirei em minha alma, [tendo] tristeza em meu coração o dia todo? Até quando o meu inimigo se levantará contra mim?

3 Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

Olha [para mim, e] ouve-me, SENHOR meu Deus; ilumina os meus olhos, para que eu não adormeça [na] morte.

4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

Para que meu inimigo não diga: Eu o venci; e meus inimigos se alegrem, se eu vier a cair.

5 But I have trusted in your mercy; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.

Mas eu confio em tua bondade; em tua salvação meu coração se alegrará;

6 I will sing unto the LORD, because he has dealt bountifully with me.

Cantarei ao SENHOR, porque ele tem me feito muito bem.
