< Psalms 125 >
1 They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abides for ever.
Those who trust in Adonai are as Mount Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking], which can’t be moved, but remains forever.
2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem [City of peace], so Adonai surrounds his people from this time forward and forever more.
3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
For the scepter of ethical wickedness won’t remain over the allotment of the upright; so that the upright won’t use their hands to do evil.
4 Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.
Do good, Adonai, to those who are good, to those who are upright in their hearts.
5 As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.
But as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways, Adonai will lead them away with the workers of vain striving of iniquity. Peace be on Israel [God prevails].
