Psalms 116
1 I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my supplications.
Nampenda Yahwe kwa kuwa anasikia sauti yangu na kuomba kwangu kwa ajili ya huruma.
2 Because he has inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
Kwa sababu alinisikiliza, nitamuita yeye ningali ninaishi.
3 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell got hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)

4 Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I plead to you, deliver my soul.

5 Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.
Yahwe ni mwenye neema na haki; Mungu wetu ni mwenye huruma.
6 The LORD perserves the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.
Yahwe huwalinda wasio na hila; nilishushwa chini akaniokoa.
7 Return unto your rest, O my soul; for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.
Nafsi yangu inaweza kurudi mahali pake pa kupumzika, kwa kuwa Yahwe amekuwa mwema kwangu.
8 For you have delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
Kwa maana uliokoa uhai wangu dhidi ya kifo, mcho yangu dhidi ya machozi, na miguu yangu dhidi ya kujikwaa.
9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
Nitamtumikia Yahwe katika nchi ya walio hai.
10 I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:
Nilimwamini yeye, hata niliposema, “nimeteswa sana.”
11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.
Kwa haraka nilisema, “Watu wote ni waongo.”
12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?

13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.
Nitakiinua kikombe cha wokovu, na kuliitia jina la Yahwe.
14 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.
Nitatimiza viapo vyangu kwa Yahwe katika uwepo wa watu wake wote.
15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
Mauti ya wacha Mungu ina thamani machoni pa Mungu.
16 O LORD, truly I am your servant; I am your servant, and the son of your handmaid: you have loosed my bonds.
Ee Yahwe, hakika, mimi ni mtumishi wako; mimi ni mtumishi wako, mwana wa mjakazi wako; umefungua vifungo vyangu.
17 I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.
Nitakutolea dhabihu ya shukrani na nitaliitia jina la Yahwe.
18 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.
Nitatimiza viapo vyangu kwa Yahwe katika uwepo wa watu wake wote,
19 In the courts of the LORD's house, in the midst of you, O Jerusalem. Praise all of you the LORD.
katika nyua za nyumba ya Yahwe, katikati yako, Yerusalemu. Msifuni Yahwe.
