Rĩrĩa Isiraeli moimire bũrũri wa Misiri, nyũmba ya Jakubu ĩkiuma kũrĩ andũ a rũthiomi rũngĩ-rĩ,

3 The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
Iria rĩonire ũguo rĩkĩũra, naruo Rũũĩ rwa Jorodani rũgĩcooka na thuutha;
4 The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
Irĩma igĩtũhatũũha ta ndũrũme, natuo tũrĩma tũgĩtũhatũũha ta tũgondu.
5 What ailed you, O you sea, that you fled? you Jordan, that you were driven back?
Kaĩ wonire atĩa, wee iria, nĩguo ũre, nawe Jorodani, tondũ wacookire na thuutha?
6 All of you mountains, that all of you skipped like rams; and all of you little hills, like lambs?
Inyuĩ irĩma, muonete kĩ, nĩguo mũtũhatũũhe ta ndũrũme, na inyuĩ tũrĩma, nĩguo mũtũhatũũhe ta tũgondu?
7 Tremble, you earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
Wee thĩ, ta kĩinaine ũrĩ mbere ya Mwathani, ũrĩ hau mbere ya Ngai ũcio wa Jakubu,
8 Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
