Psalms 107
1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endures for ever.
ख़ुदा का शुक्र करो, क्यूँकि वह भला है; और उसकी शफ़क़त हमेशा की है!
2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
ख़ुदावन्द के छुड़ाए हुए यही कहें, जिनको फ़िदिया देकर मुख़ालिफ़ के हाथ से छुड़ा लिया,
3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
और उनको मुल्क — मुल्क से जमा' किया; पूरब से और पच्छिम से, उत्तर से और दक्खिन से।
4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
वह वीरान में सेहरा के रास्ते पर भटकते फिरे; उनको बसने के लिए कोई शहर न मिला।
5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
वह भूके और प्यासे थे, और उनका दिल बैठा जाता था।
6 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
तब अपनी मुसीबत में उन्होंने ख़ुदावन्द से फ़रियाद की, और उसने उनको उनके दुखों से रिहाई बख़्शी।
7 And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
वह उनको सीधी राह से ले गया, ताकि बसने के लिए किसी शहर में जा पहुँचें।
8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
काश के लोग ख़ुदावन्द की शफ़क़त की ख़ातिर, और बनी आदम के लिए उसके 'अजायब की ख़ातिर उसकी सिताइश करते।
9 For he satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.
क्यूँकि वह तरसती जान को सेर करता है, और भूकी जान को ने 'मतों से मालामाल करता है।
10 Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;
जो अंधेरे और मौत के साये में बैठे, मुसीबत और लोहे से जकड़े हुएथे;
11 Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
चूँके उन्होंने ख़ुदा के कलाम से सरकशी की और हक़ ता'ला की मश्वरत को हक़ीर जाना।
12 Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.
इसलिए उसने उनका दिल मशक़्क़त से'आजिज़ कर दिया; वह गिर पड़े और कोई मददगार न था।
13 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
तब अपनी मुसीबत में उन्होंने ख़ुदावन्द से फ़रियाद की, और उसने उनको उनके दुखों से रिहाई बख़्शी।
14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in two.
वह उनको अंधेरे और मौत के साये से निकाल लाया, और उनके बंधन तोड़ डाले।
15 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
काश के लोग ख़ुदावन्द की शफ़क़त की खातिर, और बनी आदम के लिए उसके 'अजायब की ख़ातिर उसकी सिताइश करते!
16 For he has broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in two.
क्यूँकि उसने पीतल के फाटक तोड़ दिए, और लोहे के बेण्डों को काट डाला।
17 Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
बेवक़ूफ़ अपनी ख़ताओं की वजह से, और अपनी बदकारी के ज़रिए' मुसीबत में पड़ते हैं।
18 Their soul detests all manner of food; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
उनके जी को हर तरह के खाने से नफ़रत हो जाती है, और वह मौत के फाटकों के नज़दीक पहुँच जाते हैं।
19 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saves them out of their distresses.
तब वह अपनी मुसीबत में ख़ुदावन्द से फ़रियाद करते है और वह उनको उनके दुखों से रिहाई बख़्शता है।
20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
वह अपना कलाम नाज़िल फ़रमा कर उनको शिफ़ा देता है, और उनको उनकी हलाकत से रिहाई बख्शता है।
21 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
काश के लोग ख़ुदावन्द की शफ़क़त की खातिर, और बनी आदम के लिए उसके 'अजायब की ख़ातिर उसकी सिताइश करते!
22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
वह शुक्रगुज़ारी की क़ुर्बानियाँ पेश करें, और गाते हुए उसके कामों को बयान करें।
23 They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
जो लोग जहाज़ों में बहर पर जाते हैं, और समन्दर पर कारोबार में लगे रहते हैं;
24 These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
वह समन्दर में ख़ुदावन्द के कामों को, और उसके 'अजायब को देखते हैं।
25 For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves thereof.
क्यूँकि वह हुक्म देकर तुफ़ानी हवा चलाता जो उसमें लहरें उठाती है।
26 They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
वह आसमान तक चढ़ते और गहराओ में उतरते हैं; परेशानी से उनका दिल पानी पानी हो जाता है;
27 They reel back and forth, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their know's end.
वह झूमते और मतवाले की तरह लड़खड़ाते, और बदहवास हो जाते हैं।
28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distresses.
तब वह अपनी मुसीबत में ख़ुदावन्द से फ़रियाद करते है और वह उनको उनके दुखों से रिहाई बख़्शता है।
29 He makes the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
वह आँधी को थमा देता है, और लहरें ख़त्म हो जाती हैं।
30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he brings them unto their desired haven.
तब वह उसके थम जाने से ख़ुश होते हैं, यूँ वह उनको बन्दरगाह — ए — मक़सूद तक पहुँचा देता है।
31 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
काश के लोग ख़ुदावन्द की शफ़क़त की खातिर, और बनी आदम के लिए उसके 'अजायब की ख़ातिर उसकी सिताइश करते!
32 Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
वह लोगों के मजमे' में उसकी बड़ाई करें, और बुज़ुगों की मजलिस में उसकी हम्द।
33 He turns rivers into a wilderness, and the fountains into dry ground;
वह दरियाओं को वीरान बना देता है, और पानी के चश्मों को ख़ुश्क ज़मीन।
34 A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
वह ज़रखेज़ ज़मीन की सैहरा — ए — शोर कर देता है, इसलिए कि उसके बाशिंदे शरीर हैं।
35 He turns the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into fountains.
वह वीरान की झील बना देता है, और ख़ुश्क ज़मीन को पानी के चश्मे।
36 And there he makes the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
वहाँ वह भूकों को बसाता है, ताकि बसने के लिए शहर तैयार करें;
37 And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
और खेत बोएँ, और ताकिस्तान लगाएँ, और पैदावार हासिल करें।
38 He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffers not their cattle to decrease.
वह उनको बरकत देता है, और वह बहुत बढ़ते हैं, और वह उनके चौपायों को कम नहीं होने देता।
39 Again, they are diminished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
फिर ज़ुल्म — ओ — तकलीफ़ और ग़म के मारे, वह घट जाते और पस्त हो जाते हैं,
40 He pours contempt upon princes, and causes them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
वह उमरा पर ज़िल्लत उंडेल देता है, और उनको बेराह वीराने में भटकाता है।
41 Yet sets he the poor on high from affliction, and makes him families like a flock.
तोभी वह मोहताज को मुसीबत से निकालकर सरफ़राज़ करता है, और उसके ख़ान्दान को रेवड़ की तरह बढ़ाता है।
42 The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
रास्तबाज़ यह देखकर ख़ुश होंगे; और सब बदकारों का मुँह बन्द हो जाएगा।
43 Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the loving kindness of the LORD.
'अक्लमंद इन बातों पर तवज्जुह करेगा, और वह ख़ुदावन्द की शफ़क़त पर ग़ौर करेंगे।
