< Proverbs 2 >

1 My son, if you will receive my words, and hide my commandments with you;
ହେ ମୋହର ପୁତ୍ର, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ମୋʼ କଥା ଗ୍ରହଣ କର ଓ ମୋʼ ଆଜ୍ଞାସବୁ ମନରେ ରଖ;
2 So that you incline your ear unto wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding;
ଯଦି ଜ୍ଞାନ ଆଡ଼କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ କର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଡେର ଓ ବୁଦ୍ଧିରେ ମନୋନିବେଶ କର;
3 Yea, if you cry after knowledge, and lift up your voice for understanding;
ହଁ, ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସୁବିବେଚନା ପ୍ରତି ଡାକ ପକାଅ ଓ ବୁଦ୍ଧି ନିମନ୍ତେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱର କର;
4 If you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hid treasures;
ଯଦି ରୂପା ନ୍ୟାୟ ତାକୁ ଖୋଜ ଓ ପୋତା-ଧନ ପରି ତାହାର ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କର;
5 Then shall you understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିଷୟକ ଭୟ ବୁଝିବ ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ବିଷୟକ ତତ୍ତ୍ୱଜ୍ଞାନ ପାଇବ।
6 For the LORD gives wisdom: out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.
ଯେହେତୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ତାହାଙ୍କ ମୁଖରୁ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଓ ବୁଦ୍ଧି ନିର୍ଗତ ହୁଏ।
7 He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
ସେ ସତ୍ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତତ୍ତ୍ୱଜ୍ଞାନ ସଞ୍ଚୟ କରନ୍ତି, ସେ ସରଳାଚାରୀମାନଙ୍କର ଢାଲ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ଅଟନ୍ତି।
8 He keeps the paths of judgment, and perserves the way of his saints.
ଯେପରିକି ସେ ନ୍ୟାୟର ପଥ ରକ୍ଷା କରି ପାରିବେ ଓ ଆପଣା ସାଧୁମାନଙ୍କ ଗତି ସମ୍ଭାଳିବେ।
9 Then shall you understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
ତହୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଧାର୍ମିକତା, ସୁବିଚାର, ନ୍ୟାୟ ଓ ମଙ୍ଗଳର ସମସ୍ତ ପଥ ଜାଣିବ।
10 When wisdom enters into your heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto your soul;
କାରଣ ଜ୍ଞାନ ତୁମ୍ଭ ହୃଦୟରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ, ପୁଣି, ବିଦ୍ୟା ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରାଣର ତୁଷ୍ଟିକର ହେବ;
11 Discretion shall preserve you, understanding shall keep you:
ପରିଣାମଦର୍ଶିତା ତୁମ୍ଭ ଉପରେ ପ୍ରହରୀ ହେବ, ବୁଦ୍ଧି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବ।
12 To deliver you from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaks perverse things;
ତହିଁରେ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଅବାଧ୍ୟ କଥା କହନ୍ତି,
13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଅନ୍ଧକାରମୟ ପଥରେ ଗତାୟାତ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସରଳ ମାର୍ଗ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରନ୍ତି;
14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the perverseness of the wicked;
ଯେଉଁମାନେ କୁକ୍ରିୟା କରିବାକୁ ହୃଷ୍ଟ ଓ ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କ ଅବାଧ୍ୟତାରେ ଅନୁରକ୍ତ;
15 Whose ways are crooked, and they perverse in their paths:
ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ମାର୍ଗରେ କୁଟିଳ ଓ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପଥରେ ବକ୍ରଗାମୀ, ଏପରି କୁକର୍ମକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ପଥରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଉଦ୍ଧାର ହେବ।
16 To deliver you from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flatters with her words;
ଆଉ, ଯେଉଁ ପରସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଚାଟୁବାଦିନୀ, ଯେ ଆପଣା ଯୌବନ କାଳର ମିତ୍ରକୁ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ଆପଣା ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନିୟମ ପାସୋରେ,
17 Which forsakes the guide of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God.
ଯାହାର ଗୃହ ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁ ଆଡ଼େ
18 For her house inclines unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
ଓ ଯାହାର ପଥ ପରଲୋକ ଆଡ଼େ ଯାଏ, ଯାହା ନିକଟକୁ ଗମନ କଲେ କେହି ଫେରି ଆସେ ନାହିଁ ଓ ଜୀବନର ପଥ ଆଉ ଧରେ ନାହିଁ,
19 None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
ଏପରି ପରସ୍ତ୍ରୀଠାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଉଦ୍ଧାର ହେବ।
20 That you may walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
ଏନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସତ୍‍ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମାର୍ଗରେ ଗମନ କର ଓ ଧାର୍ମିକମାନଙ୍କ ପଥ ଅବଲମ୍ବନ କର,
21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
ଯେହେତୁ ସରଳ ଲୋକମାନେ ଦେଶରେ ବାସ କରିବେ, ପୁଣି, ସିଦ୍ଧ ଲୋକମାନେ ତହିଁରେ ସୁସ୍ଥିର ରହିବେ।
22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟଗଣ ଦେଶରୁ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହେବେ ଓ ବିଶ୍ୱାସଘାତକମାନେ ତହିଁରୁ ଉତ୍ପାଟିତ ହେବେ।
