Proverbs 16
1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.
Человеку предложение сердца: и от Господа ответ языка.
2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weights the spirits.
Вся дела смиреннаго явленна пред Богом, и укрепляяй духи Господь.
3 Commit your works unto the LORD, and your thoughts shall be established.
Приближи ко Господу дела твоя, и утвердятся помышления твоя.
4 The LORD has made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
Вся содела Господь Себе ради: нечестивии же в день зол погибнут.
5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
Нечист пред Богом всяк высокосердый: в руку же руце влагаяй неправедно не обезвинится.
6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.
Начало пути блага, еже творити праведная, приятна же пред Богом паче, нежели жрети жертвы.
7 When a man's ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Ищай Господа обрящет разум со правдою:
8 Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.
праве же ищущии его обрящут мир.
9 A man's heart devises his way: but the LORD directs his steps.
Вся дела Господня со правдою: хранится же нечестивый на день зол.
10 A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth trangresses not in judgment.
Пророчество во устнех царевых, в судищи же не погрешат уста его.
11 A just weight and balance are the LORD's: all the weights of the bag are his work.
Превеса мерила правда у Господа: дела же Его мерила праведная.
12 It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.
Мерзость цареви творяй злая: со правдою бо уготовляется престол началства.
13 Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaks right.
Приятны царю устне праведны, словеса же правая любит Господь.
14 The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it.
Ярость царева вестник смерти: муж же премудр утолит его.
15 In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain.
Во свете жизни сын царев: приятнии же ему яко облак позден.
16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!
Угнеждения премудрости избраннее злата: вселения же разума дражайши сребра.
17 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keeps his way perserves his soul.
Путие жизни укланяются от злых: долгота же жития путие праведни. Приемляй наказание во благих будет, храняй же обличения умудрится. Иже хранит своя пути, соблюдает свою душу: любяй же живот свой щадит своя уста.
18 Pride goes before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
Прежде сокрушения предваряет досаждение, прежде же падения злопомышление.
19 Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
Лучше кроткодушен со смирением, нежели иже разделяет корысти с досадительми.
20 He that handles a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusts in the LORD, happy is he.
Разумный в вещех обретатель благих, надеяйся же на Господа блажен.
21 The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increases learning.
Премудрыя и разумныя злыми наричут, сладции же в словеси множае услышани будут.
22 Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that has it: but the instruction of fools is folly.
Источник животен разум стяжавшым, наказание же безумных зло.
23 The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, and adds learning to his lips.
Сердце премудраго уразумеет яже от своих ему уст, во устнах же носит разум.
24 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
Сотове медовнии словеса добрая, сладость же их изцеление души.
25 There is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Суть путие мнящиися прави быти мужу, обаче последняя их зрят во дно адово.
26 He that labours labours for himself; for his mouth craves it of him.
Муж в трудех труждается себе и изнуждает погибель свою: строптивый во своих устах носит погибель.
27 An ungodly man digs up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire.
Муж безумен копает себе злая и во устнах своих сокровищствует огнь.
28 A perverse man sows strife: and a whisperer separates chief friends.
Муж строптивый разсылает злая, и светилник льсти вжигает злым, и разлучает други.
29 A violent man entices his neighbour, and leads him into the way that is not good.
Муж законопреступен прельщает други и отводит их в пути не благи.
30 He shuts his eyes to devise perverse things: moving his lips he brings evil to pass.
Утверждаяй очи свои мыслит развращенная, грызый же устне свои определяет вся злая: сей пещь есть злобы.
31 The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.
Венец хвалы старость, на путех же правды обретается.
32 He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city.
Лучше муж долотерпелив паче крепкаго, (и муж разум имеяй паче земледелца великаго: ) удержаваяй же гнев паче вземлющаго град.
33 The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.
В недра входят вся неправедным: от Господа же вся праведная.
