< Matthew 7 >

1 Judge not, that all of you be not judged.
“Kik ungʼad ne ji bura, ka ok kamano to un bende ibiro ngʼadnu bura.
2 For with what judgment all of you judge, all of you shall be judged: and with what measure all of you mete, it shall be measured to you again.
Nimar kaka ungʼado ne ji mamoko bura e kaka ibiro ngʼadnu bura un bende, nimar rapim mupimogo ema ibiro pimnugo un bende.
3 And why behold you the splinter that is in your brother's eye, but consider not the beam that is in your own eye?
“Angʼo momiyo ineno ngʼinjo mar buch yath manie wangʼ wadu to pilni maduongʼ mar yath manie wangʼi iwuon to ok idew?
4 Or how will you say to your brother, Let me pull out the splinter out of your eye; and, behold, a beam is in your own eye?
Ere kaka diwach ne owadu ni, ‘Yie mondo agolni ngʼinjo mar buch yath manie wangʼi,’ ka in to pilni maduongʼ mar yath osiko ngolni e wangʼi iwuon?
5 You hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of your own eye; and then shall you see clearly to cast out the splinter out of your brother's eye.
In ngʼat mawuondoreni, mokwongo gol pilni maduongʼ mar yath manie wangʼi iwuon oko, eka ibiro neno maler mar golo ngʼinjo mar buch yath manie wangʼ wadu oko.
6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast all of you your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and return and rend you.
“Kik umi guogi gima ler; bende kik udir ne anguro kite magu ma nengogi tek. Kutimo kamano to ginyalo nyonogi piny e bwo tiendegi mi gilokre kodu kendo gikidhu matindo tindo.
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and all of you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
“Kwauru to nomiu; dwaruru to unuyudi; kendo dwongʼuru to noyawnu dhoot.
8 For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.
Nimar ngʼato ka ngʼato mokwayo imiyo; ngʼato madwaro nwangʼo; kendo ngʼama dwongʼo, noyawne dhoot.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
“En ngʼa kuomu ma ka wuode okwayo kuon to omiye kidi?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
Kata ka okwayo rech to omiye thuol?
11 If all of you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Ka un ma un joricho kamano, ungʼeyo miyo mich mabeyo ne nyithindu, koro Wuonu manie polo donge nyalo chiwo ne joma okwaye mich mabeyo nyadi mangʼeny!
12 Therefore all things whatsoever all of you would that men should do to you, do all of you even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Omiyo, e gik moko duto, timuru ne joweteu gik ma duher mondo gin bende gitimnu, nikech mano e tiend Chik gi Jonabi.
13 Enter all of you in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
“Donjuru gi dhorangach madiny. Nimar rangajno oyarore kendo yorno lach madhi e kethruok, kendo ji mathoth donjo koluwe.
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.
To rangajno tin kendo yorno diny matero ji e ngima, kendo mana joma nok kende ema yude.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
“Tangʼuru gi jonabi mag miriambo. Gibiro iru ka girwako lep rombe, to gin mana ondiegi mangemo gi eigi.
16 All of you shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
To kit olemo ma ginyago ema ubiro ngʼeyogigo. Bende ji pono olemb mzabibu e yiend kudho, kata olemb ngʼowu kuom oriangʼ?
17 Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit.
Kamano bende e kaka yath maber nyago olemo maber, to yath marach nyago olemo marach.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Yath maber ok nyal nyago olemo marach, kendo yath marach ok nyal nyago olemo maber.
19 Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Yath ka yath ma ok nyag olemo maber itongʼo igoyo piny kendo iwito e mach.
20 Wherefore by their fruits all of you shall know them.
Omiyo kit olemo ma ginyago ema ubiro ngʼeyogigo.
21 Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.
“Ji duto ma luonga ni, ‘Ruoth, Ruoth,’ ok nodonji e pinyruodh polo, to mana ngʼama timo dwaro mar Wuora manie polo ema nodonji.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works?
Ji mangʼeny nowachna e odiechiengno ni, ‘Ruoth, Ruoth, donge ne wakoro wach e nyingi, kendo e nyingi donge ema ne wariembogo jochiende kendo watimogo honni mangʼeny?’
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, all of you that work iniquity.
To ananyisgi e wangʼ-gi ni, ‘Akiau nyaka aa chakruok, ayeuru e nyima, un jorichogi!’
24 Therefore whosoever hears these sayings (logos) of mine, and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
“Emomiyo ngʼato angʼata mawinjo wechenagi kendo otimogi chalo gi ngʼama riek mane ogero ode e lwanda.
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Koth nochwe maduongʼ, aore nopongʼ mogingore, kendo yamo nokudho matek mogoyo odno; to kata kamano ne ok opodho, nikech mise mare ne ni e lwanda.
26 And every one that hears these sayings (logos) of mine, and does them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
To ngʼato angʼata mawinjo wechenagi to ok otimgi chalo gi ngʼat mane ogero ode e kwoyo.
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Koth nochwe maduongʼ, aore nopongʼ mogingore kendo yamo nokudho matek mogoyo odno, mi norwombore piny gi ruombruok matek.”
28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, (logos) the people were astonished at his doctrine:
Kane Yesu osetieko wacho gigi, oganda nowuoro puonjne,
29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
nikech nopuonjo ka ngʼat man-gi teko, to ok ka jopuonjgi mapile mag chik.
