< Matthew 22 >

1 And Jesus answered and spoke unto them again by parables, and said,
Yesu ajovili nawu kavili kwa miluhumu, akajova.
2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
“Unkosi wa kunani kwa Chapanga uwanangini na nkosi mweamtendelekili mwana waki mselebuko wa ndowa.
3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
Avatumili vatumisi kuvakemela veavagongolili kundowa, nambu vene vabeli kubwela.
4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
Kangi avatumili vatumisi vangi, akajova muvajovela venivagongolili vala, Mselebuko wula nimali kutendelekela, nimali kuhinja ng'ombi yigosi na mpapakasi yeyikulupili, nitendelekili kila chindu, mbwela kundowa!
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
Nambu vevagongoliwi valitopisi lepi lijambu lila, vakahambanila, mmonga kumgunda waki na yungi kumahengu gaki,
6 And the remnant took his servants, and pleaded them spitefully, and slew them.
na vangi vavakamwili vatumisi vala vakavaliga na kuvakoma.
7 But when the king heard thereof, he was angry: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
Nkosi yula akayoma, ndi akavatuma manjolinjoli vaki vahamba kuvakomekesa vakomaji venavo na kuyocha muji wavi
8 Then says he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
Kangi akavajovela vatumisi vaki, ‘Mselebuko wa ndowa ndi umali kutendekelewa, nambu venivagongolili vala nakuganikiwa kubwela.
9 Go all of you therefore into the highways, and as many as all of you shall find, bid to the marriage.
Hinu, mhamba hati munjila, voha vemkuvakolela mvakemela vabwela kundowa.’
10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guest.
11 And when the king came in to see the guest, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
“Nkosi avawene paayingili kuvalola vayehe, amuwene mundu mmonga mwaangawala nyula za ndowa.
12 And he says unto him, Friend, how came you in here not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
Nkosi akamkota, ‘Nkozi uyingi wuli penapa changawala nyula za pandowa?’ Nambu mwene agunili.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Kangi nkosi akavajovela vahengaji, ‘Mumkunga magendelu na mawoko mumtaga kuvala kuchitita, kwenuko yati ivemba na kuyaga minu.’”
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
Yesu akamalakisila kujova, “Vamahele vagongoliwi, nambu vevahaguliwi vadebe.”
15 Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk. (logos)
16 And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that you are true, and teach the way of God in truth, neither care you for any man: for you regard not the person of men.
17 Tell us therefore, What think you? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?
Hinu tijovela, uholalela wuli? Wu, chabwina amala lepi, tete kulipa kodi kwa nkosi wa ku Loma ndi mewa ikemelewa Kaisali?”
18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt all of you me, all of you hypocrites?
Nambu, Yesu amanyili uhakau wavi, akavajovela, “Nyenye vahomela ndava kyani mukunilinga?
19 Show me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny.
Mnilangisa lishonga la kulipila kodi!” Vene vakamlangisa lishonga.
20 And he says unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?
21 They say unto him, Caesar's. Then says he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
22 When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.
Pevayuwini genago vakakangasa, vakamleka vakawuka.
23 The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,
Ligono lenilo pagati ya Vasadukayu vangi vevijova vandu vevafwili viyuka lepi, vamhambalili Yesu na kumkota,
24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
vakamjovela “Muwula, Musa atijovili mundu mweagegili afwili changaleka vana, yikumgana mlongo waki amhala lipwela mwenuyo, muni ambabakisila vana mlongo waki
25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:
Hinu pitu apa pavili na valongo saba. Mwaatumbwili kugega afwili changaleka vana, na mlongo waki amgegili lipwela mwenuyo.
26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.
27 And last of all the woman died also.
Pavamali kufwa valongo venavo voha, ndi na mdala yula afwili.
28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
Muni voha saba vagegini nayu.”
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, All of you do go astray, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
Yesu akavayangula “Nyenye mubudili ndava muni nakumanya Mayandiku Gamsopi wala makakala ga Chapanga.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
Muni vevafwili paviyuka yati vigega lepi wala kugegewa, ndi vivya ngati vamitumu va kunani kwa Chapanga.
31 But as concerning the resurrection of the dead, have all of you not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
Avajovili,
32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
‘Nene ndi Chapanga wa Ibulahimu, Chapanga wa Izaki na Chapanga wa Yakobo.’ Hinu mwene ndi lepi Chapanga wa vevafwili, nambu ndi Chapanga wa vakona wumi.”
33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.
34 But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.
Vafalisayu pevayuwini kuvya Yesu avagunisi Vasadukayu, vakakonganeka pamonga.
35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
Mmonga pagati yavi, mweavimmanya malagizu bwina, amkotili Yesu cha kumlinga,
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
“Muwula ndi muhilu woki ukulu mu malagizu?”
37 Jesus said unto him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
Yesu akayangula, “‘Mgana Bambu Chapanga waku, mumtima waku woha, mumpungu waku woha na muluhala lwaku lwoha.’
38 This is the first and great commandment.
Yeniyi ndi muhilu ukulu ndi wa kutumbukana.
39 And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbour as yourself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Malagizu goha ga Musa na mawuliwu ga vamlota va Chapanga gihuvalila mihilu yeniyo yivili.”
41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
Vafalisayu pavakonganiki pamonga, Yesu avakotili,
42 Saying, What think all of you of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.
“Nyenye mwihololela wuli ndava ya Kilisitu? Mwana wa yani?” Vakamyangula “Mwene ndi mwana wa Daudi.”
43 He says unto them, How then does David in spirit (pneuma) call him Lord, saying,
Yesu, akavajovela, “Ndava kyani,” Kwa makakala ga Mpungu Msopi? Daudi akumkemela mwene Bambu? Muni ajovili,
44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit you on my right hand, till I make your enemies your footstool?
Bambu amjovili Bambu wangu, tama muchiwoko changu cha kulyelela, mbaka nivavika vamakoko vaku kuvya pahi ya magendelu gaku.
45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?
Hinu, ngati Daudi akumkemela, Kilisitu Bambu, yihotoleka wuli kuvya mwana waki?
46 And no man was able to answer him a word, (logos) neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.
Avi lepi mundu mweahotwili kumyangula lilovi. Kutumbula ligono lenilo kawaka mundu mwalingili kumkota kangi.
