Luke 5
1 And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word (logos) of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,
जब भीड़ उस पर गिरी पड़ती थी और ख़ुदा का कलाम सुनती थी, और वो गनेसरत की झील के किनारे खड़ा था तो ऐसा हुआ कि
2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
उसने झील के किनारे दो नाव लगी देखीं, लेकिन मछली पकड़ने वाले उन पर से उतर कर जाल धो रहे थे
3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
और उसने उस नावों में से एक पर चढ़कर जो शमौन की थी, उससे दरख़्वास्त की कि किनारे से ज़रा हटा ले चल और वो बैठकर लोगों को नाव पर से ता'लीम देने लगा।
4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
जब कलाम कर चुका तो शमौन से कहा, “गहरे में ले चल, और तुम शिकार के लिए अपने जाल डालो।”
5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at your word (rhema) I will let down the net.
शमौन ने जवाब में कहा, “ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! हम ने रात भर मेहनत की और कुछ हाथ न आया, मगर तेरे कहने से जाल डालता हूँ।”
6 And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
ये किया और वो मछलियों का बड़ा घेर लाए, और उनके जाल फ़टने लगे।
7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.
और उन्होंने अपने साथियों को जो दूसरी नाव पर थे इशारा किया कि आओ हमारी मदद करो। पस उन्होंने आकर दोनों नावें यहाँ तक भर दीं कि डूबने लगीं।
8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.
शमौन पतरस ये देखकर ईसा के पाँव में गिरा और कहा, ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! मेरे पास से चला जा, क्यूँकि मैं गुनहगार आदमी हूँ।”
9 For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:
क्यूँकि मछलियों के इस शिकार से जो उन्होंने किया, वो और उसके सब साथी बहुत हैरान हुए।
10 And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth you shall catch men.
और वैसे ही ज़ब्दी के बेटे या'क़ूब और यूहन्ना भी जो शमौन के साथी थे, हैरान हुए। ईसा ने शमौन से कहा, “ख़ौफ़ न कर, अब से तू आदमियों का शिकार करेगा।“
11 And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.
वो नावों को किनारे पर ले आए और सब कुछ छोड़कर उसके पीछे हो लिए।
12 And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.
जब वो एक शहर में था, तो देखो, कौढ़ से भरा हुआ एक आदमी ईसा को देखकर मुँह के बल गिरा और उसकी मिन्नत करके कहने लगा, “ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, अगर तू चाहे तो मुझे पाक साफ़ कर सकता है।”
13 And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be you clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
उसने हाथ बढ़ा कर उसे छुआ और कहा, “मैं चाहता हूँ, तू पाक साफ़ हो जा।” और फ़ौरन उसका कौढ़ जाता रहा।
14 And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
और उसने उसे ताकीद की, “किसी से न कहना बल्कि जाकर अपने आपको काहिन को दिखा। और जैसा मूसा ने मुक़र्रर किया है अपने पाक साफ़ हो जाने के बारे में गुज़रान ताकि उनके लिए गवाही हो।”
15 But so much the more went there a fame (logos) abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
लेकिन उसकी चर्चा ज़्यादा फ़ैली और बहुत से लोग जमा हुए कि उसकी सुनें और अपनी बीमारियों से शिफ़ा पाएँ
16 And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.
मगर वो जंगलों में अलग जाकर दुआ किया करता था।
17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
और एक दिन ऐसा हुआ कि वो ता'लीम दे रहा था और फ़रीसी और शरा' के मु'अल्लिम वहाँ बैठे हुए थे जो गलील के हर गाँव और यहूदिया और येरूशलेम से आए थे। और ख़ुदावन्द की क़ुदरत शिफ़ा बख़्शने को उसके साथ थी।
18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
और देखो, कोई मर्द एक आदमी को जो फ़ालिज का मारा था चारपाई पर लाए और कोशिश की कि उसे अन्दर लाकर उसके आगे रख्खें।
19 And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
और जब भीड़ की वजह से उसको अन्दर ले जाने की राह न पाई तो छत पर चढ़ कर खपरैल में से उसको खटोले समेत बीच में ईसा के सामने उतार दिया।
20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, your sins are forgiven you.
उसने उनका ईमान देखकर कहा, “ऐ आदमी! तेरे गुनाह मु'आफ़ हुए!”
21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
इस पर फ़क़ीह और फ़रीसी सोचने लगे, “ये कौन है जो कुफ़्र बकता है? ख़ुदा के सिवा और कौन गुनाह मु'आफ़ कर सकता है?”
22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason all of you in your hearts?
ईसा ने उनके ख़यालों को मा'लूम करके जवाब में उनसे कहा, “तुम अपने दिलों में क्या सोचते हो?
23 Whether is easier, to say, Your sins be forgiven you; or to say, Rise up and walk?
आसान क्या है? ये कहना कि 'तेरे गुनाह मु'आफ़ हुए' या ये कहना कि 'उठ और चल फिर'?
24 But that all of you may know that the Son of man has power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy, ) I say unto you, Arise, and take up your couch, and go into your house.
लेकिन इसलिए कि तुम जानो कि इब्न — ए — आदम को ज़मीन पर गुनाह मु'आफ़ करने का इख़्तियार है;” (उसने मफ़्लूज से कहा) मैं तुझ से कहता हूँ, उठ और अपनी चारपाई उठाकर अपने घर जा।”
25 And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.
वो उसी दम उनके सामने उठा और जिस पर पड़ा था उसे उठाकर ख़ुदा की तम्जीद करता हुआ अपने घर चला गया।
26 And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.
वो सब के सब बहुत हैरान हुए और ख़ुदा की तम्जीद करने लगे, और बहुत डर गए और कहने लगे, “आज हम ने अजीब बातें देखीं!”
27 And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.
इन बातों के बाद वो बाहर गया और लावी नाम के एक महसूल लेनेवाले को महसूल की चौकी पर बैठे देखा और उससे कहा, “मेरे पीछे हो ले।”
28 And he left all, rose up, and followed him.
वो सब कुछ छोड़कर उठा, और उसके पीछे हो लिया।
29 And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.
फिर लावी ने अपने घर में उसकी बड़ी ज़ियाफ़त की; और महसूल लेनेवालों और औरों की जो उनके साथ खाना खाने बैठे थे, बड़ी भीड़' थी।
30 But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do all of you eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
और फ़रीसी और उनके आलिम उसके शागिर्दों से ये कहकर बुदबुदाने लगे, “तुम क्यूँ महसूल लेनेवालों और गुनाहगारों के साथ खाते — पीते हो?”
31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.
ईसा ने जवाब में उनसे कहा, “तन्दरुस्तों को हकीम की ज़रूरत नहीं है बल्कि बीमारों को।
32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
मैं रास्तबाज़ों को नहीं बल्कि गुनाहगारों को तौबा के लिए बुलाने आया हूँ।”
33 And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but your eat and drink?
और उन्होंने उससे कहा, “युहन्ना के शागिर्द अक्सर रोज़ा रखते और दु'आएँ किया करते हैं, और इसी तरह फ़रीसियों के भी; मगर तेरे शागिर्द खाते पीते है।”
34 And he said unto them, Can all of you make the children of the bride-chamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
ईसा ने उनसे कहा, “क्या तुम बरातियों से, जब तक दुल्हा उनके साथ है, रोज़ा रखवा सकते हो?
35 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.
मगर वो दिन आएँगे; और जब दुल्हा उनसे जुदा किया जाएगा तब उन दिनों में वो रोज़ा रख्खेंगे।”
36 And he spoke also a parable unto them; No man puts a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new makes a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agrees not with the old.
और उसने उनसे एक मिसाल भी कही: “कोई आदमी नई पोशाक में से फाड़कर पुरानी में पैवन्द नहीं लगाता, वर्ना नई भी फटेगी और उसका पैवन्द पुरानी में मेल भी न खाएगा।
37 And no man puts new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.
और कोई शख़्स नई मय पूरानी मशकों में नहीं भरता, नहीं तो नई मय मशकों को फाड़ कर ख़ुद भी बह जाएगी और मशकें भी बरबाद हो जाएँगी।
38 But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.
बल्कि नई मय नई मशकों में भरना चाहिए।
39 No man also having drunk old wine immediately desires new: for he says, The old is better.
और कोई आदमी पुरानी मय पीकर नई की ख़्वाहिश नहीं करता, क्यूँकि कहता है कि पुरानी ही अच्छी है।“
