< Luke 16 >

1 And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.
Ó sì wí fún àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú pé, “Ọkùnrin ọlọ́rọ̀ kan wà, tí ó ní ìríjú kan; òun náà ni wọ́n fi sùn ún pé, ó ti ń fi ohun ìní rẹ̀ ṣòfò.
2 And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of you? give an account (logos) of your stewardship; for you may be no longer steward.
Nígbà tí ó sì pè é, ó wí fún un pé, ‘Èéṣe tí èmi fi ń gbọ́ èyí sí ọ? Ṣírò iṣẹ́ ìríjú rẹ; nítorí ìwọ kò lè ṣe ìríjú mi mọ́.’
3 Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord takes away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.
“Ìríjú náà sì wí nínú ara rẹ̀ pé, ‘Èwo ni èmi ó ṣe? Nítorí tí olúwa mi gba iṣẹ́ ìríjú lọ́wọ́ mi: èmi kò le ṣiṣẹ́ oko, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ojú ń tì mí láti ṣagbe.
4 I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
Mo mọ èyí tí èmi yóò ṣe, nígbà tí a bá mú mi kúrò níbi iṣẹ́ ìríjú, kí àwọn ènìyàn le gbà mí sínú ilé wọn.’
5 So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owe you unto my lord?
“Ó sì pe àwọn ajigbèsè olúwa rẹ̀ sọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀, ó sì wí fún èkínní pé, ‘Èló ni ìwọ jẹ olúwa mi?’
6 And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take your bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
“Ó sì wí pé, ‘Ẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀rún òsùwọ̀n òróró.’ “Ó sì wí fún un pé, ‘Mú ìwé rẹ, sì jókòó nísinsin yìí, kí o sì kọ àádọ́ta lé ní irinwó.’
7 Then said he to another, And how much owe you? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take your bill, and write fourscore.
“Nígbà náà ni ó sì bi ẹnìkejì pé, ‘Èló ni ìwọ jẹ?’ “Òun sì wí pé, ‘Ẹgbẹ̀rún òsùwọ̀n alikama.’ “Ó sì wí fún un pé, ‘Mú ìwé rẹ, kí o sì kọ ẹgbẹ̀rin.’
8 And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light. (aiōn g165)
“Olúwa rẹ̀ sì yin aláìṣòótọ́ ìríjú náà, nítorí tí ó fi ọgbọ́n ṣe é, àwọn ọmọ ayé yìí sá à gbọ́n ní ìran wọn ju àwọn ọmọ ìmọ́lẹ̀ lọ. (aiōn g165)
9 And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when all of you fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. (aiōnios g166)
Èmi sì wí fún yín, ẹ fi ọrọ̀ ayé yìí yan ọ̀rẹ́ fún ara yín pé, nígbà tí o ba lọ, kí wọn kí ó le gbà yín sí ibùjókòó wọn títí ayé. (aiōnios g166)
10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
“Ẹni tí ó bá ṣe olóòtítọ́ nínú ohun kínkínní, ó ṣe olóòtítọ́ ní púpọ̀ pẹ̀lú: ẹni tí ó bá sì ṣe aláìṣòótọ́ ní ohun kínkínní, ó ṣe aláìṣòótọ́ ní ohun púpọ̀ pẹ̀lú.
11 If therefore all of you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
Ǹjẹ́ bí ẹ̀yin kò bá ti jẹ́ olóòtítọ́ nínú ọrọ̀ ayé yìí, ta ni yóò fi ọ̀rọ̀ tòótọ́ fún yín?
12 And if all of you have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?
Bí ẹ̀yin kò bá sì ti jẹ́ olóòtítọ́ nínú ohun tí í ṣe ti ẹlòmíràn, ta ni yóò fún yín ní ohun tí í ṣe ti ẹ̀yin tìkára yín?
13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. All of you cannot serve God and mammon.
“Kò sì í ẹnìkan tí ó lè sin ọ̀gá méjì. Òun yóò yà kórìíra ọ̀kan tí yóò fẹ́ràn èkejì, tàbí kí ó fi ara mọ́ ọ̀kan kí ó sì yan èkejì ní ìpọ̀sí. Ẹ̀yin kò lè sin Ọlọ́run àti owó papọ̀.”
14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
Àwọn Farisi, tí wọ́n ní ojúkòkòrò sì gbọ́ gbogbo nǹkan wọ̀nyí, wọ́n sì yọ ṣùtì sí i.
15 And he said unto them, All of you are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knows your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ̀yin ni àwọn tí ń dá àre fún ara yín níwájú ènìyàn; ṣùgbọ́n Ọlọ́run mọ ọkàn yín, nítorí ohun ti a gbéga lójú ènìyàn, ìríra ni níwájú Ọlọ́run.
16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presses into it.
“Òfin àti àwọn wòlíì ń bẹ títí di ìgbà Johanu, Láti ìgbà náà wá ni a ti ń wàásù ìròyìn ayọ̀ ìjọba Ọlọ́run, olúkúlùkù sì ń fi ipá wọ inú rẹ̀.
17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
Ṣùgbọ́n ó rọrùn fún ọ̀run òun ayé láti kọjá lọ, ju kí èyí tí ó kéré jù nínú òfin kí ó yẹ.
18 Whosoever puts away his wife, and marries another, commits adultery: and whosoever marries her that is put away from her husband commits adultery.
“Ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá kọ aya rẹ̀ sílẹ̀, tí ó sì gbé ẹlòmíràn ní ìyàwó, ó ṣe panṣágà: ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá sì gbé, ẹni tí ọkọ rẹ̀ kọ̀sílẹ̀ ní ìyàwó náà, ó ṣe panṣágà.
19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
“Ǹjẹ́ ọkùnrin ọlọ́rọ̀ kan wà, tí ó ń wọ aṣọ elése àlùkò àti aṣọ àlà dáradára, a sì máa jẹ dídùndídùn lójoojúmọ́.
20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
Alágbe kan sì wà tí à ń pè ní Lasaru, tí wọ́n máa ń gbé wá kalẹ̀ lẹ́bàá ọ̀nà ilé rẹ̀, ó kún fún ooju,
21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
Òun a sì máa fẹ́ kí a fi èérún tí ó ti orí tábìlì ọlọ́rọ̀ bọ́ sílẹ̀ bọ́ òun, àwọn ajá sì wá, wọ́n sì fá a ní ooju lá.
22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
“Ó sì ṣe, alágbe kú, a sì ti ọwọ́ àwọn angẹli gbé e lọ sí oókan àyà Abrahamu: ọlọ́rọ̀ náà sì kú pẹ̀lú, a sì sin ín;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and sees Abraham far off, and Lazarus in his bosom. (Hadēs g86)
Ní ipò òkú ni ó gbé ojú rẹ̀ sókè, ó ń bẹ nínú ìjìyà oró, ó sì rí Abrahamu ní òkèrè, àti Lasaru ní oókan àyà rẹ̀. (Hadēs g86)
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
Ó sì ké, ó wí pé, ‘Baba Abrahamu, ṣàánú fún mi, kí o sì rán Lasaru, kí ó tẹ orí ìka rẹ̀ bọ omi, kí ó sì fi tù mí ní ahọ́n; nítorí èmi ń joró nínú ọ̀wọ́n iná yìí.’
25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and you are tormented.
“Ṣùgbọ́n Abrahamu wí pé, ‘Ọmọ, rántí pé, nígbà ayé rẹ, ìwọ ti gba ohun rere tìrẹ, àti Lasaru ohun búburú, ṣùgbọ́n nísinsin yìí ara rọ̀ ọ́, ìwọ sì ń joró.
26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from behind to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
Àti pẹ̀lú gbogbo èyí, a gbé ọ̀gbun ńlá kan sí agbede-méjì àwa àti ẹ̀yin, kí àwọn tí ń fẹ́ má ba á le rékọjá láti ìhín lọ sọ́dọ̀ yín, kí ẹnikẹ́ni má sì le ti ọ̀hún rékọjá tọ̀ wá wá.’
27 Then he said, I pray you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house:
“Ó sì wí pé, ‘Ǹjẹ́ mo bẹ̀ ọ́, baba, kí ìwọ kí ó rán Lasaru lọ sí ilé baba mi,
28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
nítorí mo ní arákùnrin márùn-ún; kí ó lè rò fún wọn kí àwọn kí ó má ba á wá sí ibi oró yìí pẹ̀lú.’
29 Abraham says unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
“Abrahamu sì wí fún un pé, ‘Wọ́n ní Mose àti àwọn wòlíì; kí wọn kí ó gbọ́ tiwọn.’
30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
“Ó sì wí pé, ‘Bẹ́ẹ̀ kọ́, Abrahamu baba; ṣùgbọ́n bí ẹnìkan bá ti inú òkú tọ̀ wọ́n lọ, wọn ó ronúpìwàdà.’
31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
“Ó sì wí fún un pé, ‘Bí wọn kò bá gbọ́ ti Mose àti ti àwọn wòlíì, a kì yóò yí wọn ní ọkàn padà bí ẹnìkan tilẹ̀ ti inú òkú dìde.’”
