< John 5 >

1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
Bangʼ kinde moko, Yesu nodhi Jerusalem e Sap jo-Yahudi.
2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
E Jerusalem kanyo, but ranga Rombe, miluongo ni Bethesda gi dho jo-Hibrania, ne nitiere yawo moro ma nigi raidhi abich midonjogo.
3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
Kanyo ji mathoth man-gi tuoche mopogore opogore kaka muofni, rongʼonde, kod joma nigi athany nohero riyo kanyo [kendo negirito mondo pi otugre.
4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
To ne nitie ngʼato kanyo mane osebedo gi midekre kuom higni piero adek gaboro.
6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he says unto him, Will you be made whole?
Kane Yesu onene konindo kanyo, kendo kane onyise ni osebedo kochal kamano kuom kinde marabora, nopenje niya, “Bende idwaro ni ochangi?”
7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steps down before me.
Ngʼatno nodwoke niya, “Jaduongʼ, aonge gi ngʼama nyalo konya donjo ei yawo sa ma pi otugore. Kinde ka kinde ma atemo ni adonji to ngʼat machielo donjo kuongona.”
8 Jesus says unto him, Rise, take up your bed, and walk.
Yesu nowachone niya, “Aa malo! Kaw pieni mondo iwuothi.”
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
Gikanyono ngʼatno nochango, kendo nokawo piende mowuotho. Ma notimore chiengʼ Sabato,
10 The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for you to carry your bed.
omiyo jo-Yahudi nowachone ngʼama nochangino niya, “Kawuono en chiengʼ Sabato, kendo chik ok oyieni tingʼo pieni.”
11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up your bed, and walk.
Nodwokogi niya, “Ngʼat ma nochanga ema nowachona ni, ‘Kaw pieni mondo iwuothi.’”
12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto you, Take up your bed, and walk?
Omiyo negipenje niya, “Mano to en ngʼama nade manowachoni ni ikaw pieni kendo iwuothi?”
13 And he that was healed know not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.
To ngʼat mane ochangino ne ok ongʼeyo nying ngʼat mane ochange, nimar noyudo ka Yesu osedonjo ei oganda mane ni kanyo.
14 Afterward Jesus finds him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, you are made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto you.
Bangʼe Yesu noyude e hekalu mowachone niya, “Winji, koro isedoko mangima. We richo, nono to gimoro marach moloyo biro timoreni.”
15 The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.
Ngʼatno noa modhi onyiso jo-Yahudi ni Yesu ema nochange.
16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
Kuom mano, nikech Yesu ne chango ji chiengʼ Sabato, jo-Yahudi nosande.
17 But Jesus answered them, My Father works until now, and I work.
To Yesu nowachonegi niya, “Wuora osiko katiyo tichne nyaka kawuono, kendo an bende atiyo mana kamano.”
18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do: for what things whatsoever he does, these also does the Son likewise.
Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Awachonu adier ni, Wuod Dhano ok nyal timo gimoro kende owuon; to onyalo mana timo gima oneno ka Wuoro timo, nikech gimoro amora ma Wuoro timo ema Wuowi bende timo.
