John 14
1 Let not your heart be troubled: all of you believe in God, believe also in me.
೧“ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವು ಕಳವಳಗೊಳ್ಳದಿರಲಿ. ನೀವು ದೇವರನ್ನು ನಂಬಿರಿ, ನನ್ನನ್ನೂ ನಂಬಿರಿ.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
೨ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಾನಗಳಿವೆ, ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು. ನಾನು ನಿಮಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನಲ್ಲಾ!
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there all of you may be also.
೩ನಾನು ಹೋಗಿ ನಿಮಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಪುನಃ ಬಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನುನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ನಾನಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಸಹ ಇರಬೇಕು.
4 And where I go all of you know, and the way all of you know.
೪ನಾನು ಹೋಗುವ ಸ್ಥಳದ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದೆ” ಎಂದನು.
5 Thomas says unto him, Lord, we know not where you go; and how can we know the way?
೫ತೋಮನು ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೀ ಎಂಬುದೇ ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದು, ಮತ್ತೆ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಹೇಗೆ ತಿಳಿದೀತು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು,
6 Jesus says unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.
೬ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನೇ ಮಾರ್ಗವೂ, ಸತ್ಯವೂ ಮತ್ತುಜೀವವೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಮೂಲಕವಲ್ಲದೆ ಯಾರೂ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರಲಾರರು.
7 If all of you had known me, all of you should have known my Father also: and from henceforth all of you know him, and have seen him.
೭ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದರೆ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನೂ ಸಹ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಿರಿ. ಈಗಿನಿಂದ ನೀವು ಆತನನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
8 Philip says unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it satisfies us.
೮ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನು, “ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಮಗೆ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸು ನಮಗೆ ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಸಾಕು” ಎಂದನು.
9 Jesus says unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet have you not known me, Philip? he that has seen me has seen the Father; and how say you then, Show us the Father?
೯ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನೇ, ನಾನು ಇಷ್ಟು ಕಾಲ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಇನ್ನೂ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ! ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದವನು ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಮತ್ತು ನಮಗೆ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸು ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳುವುದಾದರು ಹೇಗೆ?
10 Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the (rhema) words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwells in me, he does the works.
೧೦ನಾನು ತಂದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ ಮತ್ತು ತಂದೆಯು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೀನು ನಂಬುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನೇ ಆಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ತಂದೆಯು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
೧೧ನಾನು ತಂದೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ತಂದೆಯು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಂಬಿರಿ. ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ನಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತದಿಂದಾದರೂ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಂಬಿರಿ.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
೧೨“ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಂಬುವವನು ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಾನು ಸಹ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಮತ್ತು ಇವುಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಮಹತ್ತಾದ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವನು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ.
13 And whatsoever all of you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
೧೩ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೇನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರೋ ಅದನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವೆನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಮಗನ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಮಹಿಮೆ ಉಂಟಾಗುವುದು.
14 If all of you shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
೧೪ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಏನಾದರೂ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವೆನು.
15 If all of you love me, keep my commandments.
೧೫“ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವರಾದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯುವಿರಿ.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; (aiōn g165)
೧೬ಆಗ ನಾನು ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು, ಆತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬೇರೊಬ್ಬ ಸಹಾಯಕನನ್ನು ಸದಾಕಾಲವೂ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಕೊಡುವನು. (aiōn g165)
17 Even the Spirit (pneuma) of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but all of you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.
೧೭ಆ ಸಹಾಯಕನು ಯಾರೆಂದರೆಸತ್ಯದ ಆತ್ಮನೇ. ಲೋಕವು ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡದೆಯೂ, ತಿಳಿಯದೆಯೂ ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ ಆತನನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಲಾರದು. ನೀವು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲಿರಿ, ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ ಆತನು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಇರುವನು.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
೧೮“ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅನಾಥರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತೇನೆ.
19 Yet a little while, and the world sees me no more; but all of you see me: because I live, all of you shall live also.
೧೯ಇನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಾಲವಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಲೋಕವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವಿರಿ. ನಾನು ಜೀವಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಜೀವಿಸುವಿರಿ.
20 At that day all of you shall know that I am in my Father, and all of you in me, and I in you.
೨೦ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ನೀವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರುವುದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ.
21 He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
೨೧ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯುವವನೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನು. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಿಯನಾಗಿರುವನು. ನಾನೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಪಡಿಸಿ ತೋರಿಸುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
22 Judas says unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself unto us, and not unto the world?
೨೨ಯೂದನು, (ಇವನು ಇಸ್ಕರಿಯೋತನಲ್ಲ) “ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನೀನು ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ನಮಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವೇನು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: (logos) and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
೨೩ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವುದಾದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ನಡೆಯುವನು. ಅವನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವನು ಮತ್ತು ನಾವಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ನೆಲೆಸುವೆವು.
24 He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: (logos) and the word (logos) which all of you hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
೨೪ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸದವನು, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದ ಮಾತು ನನ್ನದಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ತಂದೆಯದೇ ಆಗಿದೆ.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
೨೫“ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಇನ್ನೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, (pneuma) whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
೨೬ಆದರೆ ಆ ಸಹಾಯಕನು, ಅಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದೆಯು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಡುವ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನೇ ನಿಮಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಉಪದೇಶಿಸಿ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ತಂದುಕೊಡುವನು.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
೨೭“ನಾನು ನನ್ನಸಮಾಧಾನವನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿರುವಂಥ ಸಮಾಧಾನವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಲೋಕವು ಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವು ಕಳವಳಗೊಳ್ಳದಿರಲಿ, ಹೆದರದಿರಲಿ.
28 All of you have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If all of you loved me, all of you would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
೨೮ನಾನು ಹೋಗಿ ಪುನಃ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನಾನು ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಿ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ತಂದೆಯು ನನಗಿಂತಲೂ ದೊಡ್ಡವನು.
29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it has come to pass, all of you might believe.
೨೯ಇದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಡೆಯುವಾಗ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಂಬುವಂತೆ, ಅದು ನಡೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲೇ ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world comes, and has nothing in me.
೩೦ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆಇಹಲೋಕಾಧಿಪತಿಯು ಬರಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಅಧಿಕಾರವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go behind.
೩೧ಆದರೂ ನಾನು ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ತಂದೆ ನನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದಂತೆಯೇ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಏಳಿರಿ, ನಾವು ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೋಗೋಣ” ಎಂದನು.
