Joel 1
1 The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel.
耶和华的话临到毗土珥的儿子约珥。
2 Hear this, all of you old men, and give ear, all you inhabitants of the land. Has this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?
老年人哪，当听我的话； 国中的居民哪，都要侧耳而听。 在你们的日子， 或你们列祖的日子， 曾有这样的事吗？
3 Tell all of you your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation.
你们要将这事传与子， 子传与孙， 孙传与后代。
4 That which the palmerworm has left has the locust eaten; and that which the locust has left has the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm has left has the caterpillar eaten.
剪虫剩下的，蝗虫来吃； 蝗虫剩下的，蝻子来吃； 蝻子剩下的，蚂蚱来吃。
5 Awake, all of you drunkards, and weep; and wail, all you drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth.
酒醉的人哪，要清醒哭泣； 好酒的人哪，都要为甜酒哀号， 因为从你们的口中断绝了。
6 For a nation has come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he has the cheek teeth of a great lion.
有一队蝗虫又强盛又无数， 侵犯我的地； 它的牙齿如狮子的牙齿， 大牙如母狮的大牙。
7 He has laid my vine waste, and barked my fig tree: he has made it clean bare, and cast it away; the branches thereof are made white.
它毁坏我的葡萄树， 剥了我无花果树的皮， 剥尽而丢弃，使枝条露白。
8 Lament like a virgin girded with sackcloth for the husband of her youth.
我的民哪，你当哀号，像处女腰束麻布， 为幼年的丈夫哀号。
9 The food offering and the drink offering is cut off from the house of the LORD; the priests, the LORD's ministers, mourn.
素祭和奠祭从耶和华的殿中断绝； 事奉耶和华的祭司都悲哀。
10 The field is wasted, the land mourns; for the corn is wasted: the new wine is dried up, the oil languishes.
田荒凉，地悲哀； 因为五谷毁坏， 新酒干竭，油也缺乏。
11 Be all of you ashamed, O all of you husbandmen; wail, O all of you vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley; because the harvest of the field is perished.
农夫啊，你们要惭愧； 修理葡萄园的啊，你们要哀号； 因为大麦小麦与田间的庄稼都灭绝了。
12 The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languishes; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.
葡萄树枯干； 无花果树衰残。 石榴树、棕树、苹果树， 连田野一切的树木也都枯干； 众人的喜乐尽都消灭。
13 Gird yourselves, and lament, all of you priests: wail, all of you ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, all of you ministers of my God: for the food offering and the drink offering is withheld from the house of your God.
祭司啊，你们当腰束麻布痛哭； 伺候祭坛的啊，你们要哀号； 事奉我 神的啊，你们要来披上麻布过夜， 因为素祭和奠祭从你们 神的殿中断绝了。
14 Sanctify all of you a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD,
你们要分定禁食的日子， 宣告严肃会， 招聚长老和国中的一切居民 到耶和华—你们 神的殿， 向耶和华哀求。
15 Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.
哀哉！耶和华的日子临近了。 这日来到，好像毁灭从全能者来到。
16 Is not the food cut off before our eyes, yea, joy and gladness from the house of our God?
粮食不是在我们眼前断绝了吗？ 欢喜快乐不是从我们 神的殿中止息了吗？
17 The seed is rotten under their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the corn is withered.
谷种在土块下朽烂； 仓也荒凉，廪也破坏； 因为五谷枯干了。
18 How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate.
牲畜哀鸣； 牛群混乱，因为无草； 羊群也受了困苦。
19 O LORD, to you will I cry: for the fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame has burned all the trees of the field.
耶和华啊，我向你求告， 因为火烧灭旷野的草场； 火焰烧尽田野的树木。
20 The beasts of the field cry also unto you: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
田野的走兽向你发喘； 因为溪水干涸， 火也烧灭旷野的草场。
