Job 9
1 Then Job answered and said,
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಬನು ಉತ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇಂತೆಂದನು:
2 I know it is so truthfully: but how should man be just with God?
“ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ, ಇದು ಸತ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು; ಆದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಮುಗ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಮಾಣಿಕರಿಸುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ?
3 If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.
ದೇವರ ಸಂಗಡ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾಡಲು ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಬಯಸಿದರೂ, ದೇವರ ಸಾವಿರ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಕ್ಕೂ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡಲಾರನು.
4 He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who has hardened himself against him, and has prospered?
ದೇವರ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಆಳವಾದದ್ದು, ಶಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ಪ್ರಬಲರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ದೇವರ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುವವನು ಯಾರು?
5 Which removes the mountains, and they know not: which overturns them in his anger.
ದೇವರು ಪರ್ವತಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ಸರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ತಮ್ಮ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
6 Which shakes the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.
ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಅದರ ಸ್ಥಳದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕದಲಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅದರ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳು ನಡುಗುತ್ತವೆ.
7 Which commands the sun, and it rises not; and seals up the stars.
ದೇವರು ಸೂರ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸದಂತೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ, ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುದ್ರೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಕ್ಷತ್ರವೂ ಮಿನುಗುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
8 Which alone spreads out the heavens, and treads upon the waves of the sea.
ದೇವರೊಬ್ಬರೇ ಆಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ದೇವರು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ತೆರೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
9 Which makes Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.
ಸಪ್ತರ್ಷಿಮಂಡಲವನ್ನೂ, ಮೃಗಶಿರವನ್ನೂ, ಕೃತ್ತಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದವರು ದೇವರೇ.
10 Which does great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.
ದೇವರು ಕಂಡು ಹಿಡಿಯಲಾರದಂಥ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲದಷ್ಟು ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
11 Lo, he goes by me, and I see him not: he passes on also, but I perceive him not.
ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹಾದುಹೋದಾಗ, ನನಗೆ ಅವರು ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ದೇವರು ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
12 Behold, he takes away, who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What do you?
ದೇವರು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರೆ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿ ಮಾಡುವವರು ಯಾರು? ದೇವರನ್ನು, ‘ನೀವು ಏನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ?’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುವವರ‍್ಯಾರು.
13 If God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him.
ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬೇಸರವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ರಹಾಬನ ಸಹಾಯಕರು ಸಹ ದೇವರ ಕಾಲಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲಾ.
14 How much less shall I answer him, and choose out my words to reason with him?
“ದೇವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾದಿಸಲು ನಾನು ಅಶಕ್ತನು; ದೇವರಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡಲು ನಾನು ಎಷ್ಟರವನು?
15 Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer, but I would make supplication to my judge.
ನಾನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡೆನು; ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗೆ ಕರುಣೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುವೆನು.
16 If I had called, and he had answered me; yet would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice.
ನಾನು ಕರೆಯಲು ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೂ, ನನ್ನ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಗೆ ದೇವರು ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುವರೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಂಬುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
17 For he breaks me with a tempest, and multiplies my wounds without cause.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ನನ್ನ ಗಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾರಣವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
18 He will not suffer me to take my breath, but fills me with bitterness.
ನಾನು ಉಸಿರಾಡಲು ಕಷ್ಟಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ದೇವರು ಕಹಿಯಾದವುಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
19 If I speak of strength, lo, he is strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time to plead?
ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದರೆ, ಇಗೋ ದೇವರು ಬಲಶಾಲಿ! ನ್ಯಾಯದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾದಿಸಬೇಕಾದರೆ, ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸವಾಲು ಹಾಕುವವರು ಯಾರು?
20 If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.
ನಾನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಬಾಯೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ನಾನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಪರಾಧಿ ಎಂದು ನಿರೂಪಿಸುವರು.
21 Though I were perfect, yet would I not know my soul: I would despise my life.
“ನಾನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯೇ ಹೌದು, ನನ್ನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನನಗೆ ಚಿಂತೆ ಇಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ಬಾಳನ್ನೇ ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
22 This is one thing, therefore I said it, He destroys the perfect and the wicked.
ಇದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಂದೇ ವಿಷಯ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ: ‘ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಕೆಟ್ಟವನನ್ನೂ ದೇವರು ದಂಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.’
23 If the scourge slay suddenly, he will laugh at the trial of the innocent.
ವಿಪತ್ತು ಅಕಸ್ಮಾತ್ತಾಗಿ ಮರಣವನ್ನು ತಂದರೆ, ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಯ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನತೆಗೆ ದೇವರು ನಗುವರು.
24 The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covers the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, and who is he?
ಲೋಕವು ಕೆಟ್ಟವರ ಕೈವಶವಾಗಿದೆ; ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳ ಮುಖಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಸುಕುಹಾಕಲಾಗಿದೆ; ಇದನ್ನು ಅನುಮತಿಸಿದವರು ದೇವರಲ್ಲದೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಯಾರು?
25 Now my days are swifter than a post: they flee away, they see no good.
“ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ದಿನಗಳು ಅಂಚೆಯವನಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ತ್ವರೆಯಾಗಿವೆ; ಆನಂದವನ್ನೂ ನೋಡದೆ ದಿನಗಳು ಓಡಿಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ.
26 They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle that hastes to the prey.
ಆಪಿನ ದೋಣಿಗಳು ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗುವಂತೆಯೂ, ಹದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ಬೇಟೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಎರಗುವಂತೆಯೂ ದಿನಗಳು ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಗತಿಸಿಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ.
27 If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will leave off my heaviness, and comfort myself:
‘ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದೂರುಗಳನ್ನು ಮರೆತು, ನನ್ನ ಭಾರವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಆದರಣೆ ಹೊಂದುವೆನು,’ ಎಂದು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ,
28 I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that you will not hold me innocent.
ನನಗಾದ ವ್ಯಥೆಗಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆದರುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿರಪರಾಧಿ ಎಂದು ಎಣಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಸಹ ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ.
29 If I be wicked, why then labour I in vain?
ನಾನು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಅಪರಾಧಿ ಎಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯವಾಗಿರುವಾಗ, ನಾನು ಏಕೆ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಹೋರಾಡಬೇಕು?
30 If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean;
ನಾನು ಹಿಮದ ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾನಮಾಡಿ, ಸಾಬೂನಿನಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆದುಕೊಂಡರೂ,
31 Yet shall you plunge me in the ditch, and mine own clothes shall detest me.
ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕುಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುವರು; ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಸಹ್ಯಪಡಬೇಕಾಗುವುದು.
32 For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment.
“ದೇವರು ನನ್ನಂಥ ಕೇವಲ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಲ್ಲ, ನಾನು ದೇವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾದಿಸುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ? ನಾವಿಬ್ಬರೂ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಮುಂದೆ ಕೂಡಿ ವಾದಿಸುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ?
33 Neither is there any arbitrator between us, that might lay his hand upon us both.
ನಮ್ಮಿಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟು ಸೇರಿಸುವ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ನಮ್ಮ ನಡುವೆ ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದರೆ,
34 Let him take his rod away from me, and let not his fear terrify me:
ದೇವರ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯಕೋಲನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿಸುವ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದರೆ, ದೇವರ ಭೀತಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಹೆದರದೆ ಇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ.
35 Then would I speak, and not fear him; but it is not so with me.
ಆಗ ನಾನು ದೇವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡದೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ; ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಈಗ ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನಗೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ.
