Job 38
1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
१तब यहोवा ने अय्यूब को आँधी में से यूँ उत्तर दिया,
2 Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?
२“यह कौन है जो अज्ञानता की बातें कहकर युक्ति को बिगाड़ना चाहता है?
3 Gird up now your loins like a man; for I will demand of you, and answer you me.
३पुरुष के समान अपनी कमर बाँध ले, क्योंकि मैं तुझ से प्रश्न करता हूँ, और तू मुझे उत्तर दे।
4 Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if you have understanding.
४“जब मैंने पृथ्वी की नींव डाली, तब तू कहाँ था? यदि तू समझदार हो तो उत्तर दे।
5 Who has laid the measures thereof, if you know? or who has stretched the line upon it?
५उसकी नाप किसने ठहराई, क्या तू जानता है उस पर किसने सूत खींचा?
6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
६उसकी नींव कौन सी वस्तु पर रखी गई, या किसने उसके कोने का पत्थर बैठाया,
7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
७जबकि भोर के तारे एक संग आनन्द से गाते थे और परमेश्वर के सब पुत्र जयजयकार करते थे?
8 Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?
८“फिर जब समुद्र ऐसा फूट निकला मानो वह गर्भ से फूट निकला, तब किसने द्वार बन्द कर उसको रोक दिया;
9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddling band for it,
९जबकि मैंने उसको बादल पहनाया और घोर अंधकार में लपेट दिया,
10 And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,
१०और उसके लिये सीमा बाँधा और यह कहकर बेंड़े और किवाड़ें लगा दिए,
11 And said, Until now shall you come, but no further: and here shall your proud waves be stayed?
११‘यहीं तक आ, और आगे न बढ़, और तेरी उमड़नेवाली लहरें यहीं थम जाएँ।’
12 Have you commanded the morning since your days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;
१२“क्या तूने जीवन भर में कभी भोर को आज्ञा दी, और पौ को उसका स्थान जताया है,
13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?
१३ताकि वह पृथ्वी की छोरों को वश में करे, और दुष्ट लोग उसमें से झाड़ दिए जाएँ?
14 It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment.
१४वह ऐसा बदलता है जैसा मोहर के नीचे चिकनी मिट्टी बदलती है, और सब वस्तुएँ मानो वस्त्र पहने हुए दिखाई देती हैं।
15 And from the wicked their light is withheld, and the high arm shall be broken.
१५दुष्टों से उनका उजियाला रोक लिया जाता है, और उनकी बढ़ाई हुई बाँह तोड़ी जाती है।
16 Have you entered into the springs of the sea? or have you walked in the search of the depth?
१६“क्या तू कभी समुद्र के सोतों तक पहुँचा है, या गहरे सागर की थाह में कभी चला फिरा है?
17 Have the gates of death been opened unto you? or have you seen the doors of the shadow of death?
१७क्या मृत्यु के फाटक तुझ पर प्रगट हुए, क्या तू घोर अंधकार के फाटकों को कभी देखने पाया है?
18 Have you perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if you know it all.
१८क्या तूने पृथ्वी की चौड़ाई को पूरी रीति से समझ लिया है? यदि तू यह सब जानता है, तो बता दे।
19 Where is the way where light dwells? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof,
१९“उजियाले के निवास का मार्ग कहाँ है, और अंधियारे का स्थान कहाँ है?
20 That you should take it to the bound thereof, and that you should know the paths to the house thereof?
२०क्या तू उसे उसकी सीमा तक हटा सकता है, और उसके घर की डगर पहचान सकता है?
21 Know you it, because you were then born? or because the number of your days is great?
२१निःसन्देह तू यह सब कुछ जानता होगा! क्योंकि तू तो उस समय उत्पन्न हुआ था, और तू बहुत आयु का है।
22 Have you entered into the treasures of the snow? or have you seen the treasures of the hail,
२२फिर क्या तू कभी हिम के भण्डार में पैठा, या कभी ओलों के भण्डार को तूने देखा है,
23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
२३जिसको मैंने संकट के समय और युद्ध और लड़ाई के दिन के लिये रख छोड़ा है?
24 By what way is the light parted, which scatters the east wind upon the earth?
२४किस मार्ग से उजियाला फैलाया जाता है, और पूर्वी वायु पृथ्वी पर बहाई जाती है?
25 Who has divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;
२५“महावृष्टि के लिये किसने नाला काटा, और कड़कनेवाली बिजली के लिये मार्ग बनाया है,
26 To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;
२६कि निर्जन देश में और जंगल में जहाँ कोई मनुष्य नहीं रहता मेंह बरसाकर,
27 To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?
२७उजाड़ ही उजाड़ देश को सींचे, और हरी घास उगाए?
28 Has the rain a father? or who has begotten the drops of dew?
२८क्या मेंह का कोई पिता है, और ओस की बूँदें किसने उत्पन्न की?
29 Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who has gendered it?
२९किसके गर्भ से बर्फ निकला है, और आकाश से गिरे हुए पाले को कौन उत्पन्न करता है?
30 The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.
३०जल पत्थर के समान जम जाता है, और गहरे पानी के ऊपर जमावट होती है।
31 Can you bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
३१“क्या तू कचपचिया का गुच्छा गूँथ सकता या मृगशिरा के बन्धन खोल सकता है?
32 Can you bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or can you guide Arcturus with his sons?
३२क्या तू राशियों को ठीक-ठीक समय पर उदय कर सकता, या सप्तर्षि को साथियों समेत लिए चल सकता है?
33 Know you the ordinances of heaven? can you set the dominion thereof in the earth?
३३क्या तू आकाशमण्डल की विधियाँ जानता और पृथ्वी पर उनका अधिकार ठहरा सकता है?
34 Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover you?
३४क्या तू बादलों तक अपनी वाणी पहुँचा सकता है, ताकि बहुत जल बरस कर तुझे छिपा ले?
35 Can you send lightnings, that they may go and say unto you, Here we are?
३५क्या तू बिजली को आज्ञा दे सकता है, कि वह जाए, और तुझ से कहे, ‘मैं उपस्थित हूँ?’
36 Who has put wisdom in the inward parts? or who has given understanding to the heart?
३६किसने अन्तःकरण में बुद्धि उपजाई, और मन में समझने की शक्ति किसने दी है?
37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,
३७कौन बुद्धि से बादलों को गिन सकता है? और कौन आकाश के कुप्पों को उण्डेल सकता है,
38 When the dust grows into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?
३८जब धूलि जम जाती है, और ढेले एक दूसरे से सट जाते हैं?
39 Will you hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,
३९“क्या तू सिंहनी के लिये अहेर पकड़ सकता, और जवान सिंहों का पेट भर सकता है,
40 When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?
४०जब वे माँद में बैठे हों और आड़ में घात लगाए दबक कर बैठे हों?
41 Who provides for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of food.
४१फिर जब कौवे के बच्चे परमेश्वर की दुहाई देते हुए निराहार उड़ते फिरते हैं, तब उनको आहार कौन देता है?
