Job 24
1 Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?
Επειδή οι καιροί δεν είναι κεκρυμμένοι από του Παντοδυνάμου, διά τι οι γνωρίζοντες αυτόν δεν βλέπουσι τας ημέρας αυτού;
2 Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed thereof.
Μετακινούσιν όρια· αρπάζουσι ποίμνια και ποιμαίνουσιν·
3 They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
αφαιρούσι την όνον των ορφανών· λαμβάνουσι τον βουν της χήρας εις ενέχυρον·
4 They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.
εξωθούσι τους ενδεείς από της οδού· οι πτωχοί της γης ομού κρύπτονται.
5 Behold, as wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising early for a prey: the wilderness yields food for them and for their children.
Ιδού, ως άγριοι όνοι εν τη ερήμω, εξέρχονται εις τα έργα αυτών εγειρόμενοι πρωΐ διά αρπαγήν· η έρημος δίδει τροφήν δι' αυτούς και διά τα τέκνα αυτών.
6 They reap every one his corn in the field: and they gather the vintage of the wicked.
Θερίζουσιν αγρόν μη όντα εαυτών, και τρυγώσιν άμπελον αδικίας.
7 They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold.
Κάμνουσι τους γυμνούς να νυκτερεύωσιν άνευ ιματίου, και δεν έχουσι σκέπασμα εις το ψύχος.
8 They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for lack of a shelter.
Υγραίνονται εκ των βροχών των ορέων και εναγκαλίζονται τον βράχον, μη έχοντες καταφύγιον.
9 They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor.
Εκείνοι αρπάζουσι τον ορφανόν από του μαστού, και λαμβάνουσιν ενέχυρον παρά του πτωχού·
10 They cause him to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaf from the hungry;
κάμνουσιν αυτόν να υπάγη γυμνός άνευ ιματίου, και οι βαστάζοντες τα χειρόβολα μένουσι πεινώντες.
11 Which make oil within their walls, and tread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.
Οι εκπιέζοντες το έλαιον εντός των τοίχων αυτών και πατούντες τους ληνούς αυτών, διψώσιν.
12 Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded cries out: yet God lays not folly to them.
Άνθρωποι στενάζουσιν εκ της πόλεως, και η ψυχή των πεπληγωμένων βοά· αλλ' ο Θεός δεν επιθέτει εις αυτούς αφροσύνην.
13 They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
Ούτοι είναι εκ των ανθισταμένων εις το φώς· δεν γνωρίζουσι τας οδούς αυτού, και δεν μένουσιν εν ταις τρίβοις αυτού.
14 The murderer rising with the light kills the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief.
Ο φονεύς εγειρόμενος την αυγήν φονεύει τον πτωχόν και τον ενδεή, την δε νύκτα γίνεται ως κλέπτης.
15 The eye also of the adulterer waits for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguises his face.
Ο οφθαλμός ομοίως του μοιχού παραφυλάττει το νύκτωμα, λέγων, Οφθαλμός δεν θέλει με ιδεί· και καλύπτει το πρόσωπον αυτού.
16 In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light.
Εν τω σκότει διατρυπώσι τας οικίας, τας οποίας την ημέραν εσημείωσαν δι' εαυτούς. Δεν γνωρίζουσι φώς·
17 For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.
διότι η αυγή είναι εις πάντας αυτούς σκιά θανάτου· εάν τις γνωρίση αυτούς, είναι τρόμοι σκιάς θανάτου.
18 He is swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholds not the way of the vineyards.
Είναι ελαφροί επί το πρόσωπον των υδάτων· η μερίς αυτών είναι κατηραμένη επί της γής· δεν βλέπουσι την οδόν των αμπέλων.
19 Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so does the grave those which have sinned. (Sheol h7585)
Η ξηρασία και η θερμότης αρπάζουσι τα ύδατα της χιόνος, ο δε τάφος τους αμαρτωλούς. (Sheol h7585)
20 The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree.
Η μήτρα θέλει λησμονήσει αυτούς· ο σκώληξ θέλει βόσκεσθαι επ' αυτούς· δεν θέλουσιν ελθεί πλέον εις ενθύμησιν· και η αδικία θέλει συντριφθή ως ξύλον.
21 He evil entreats the barren that bears not: and does not good to the widow.
Κακοποιούσι την στείραν την άτεκνον· και δεν αγαθοποιούσι την χήραν·
22 He draws also the mighty with his power: he rises up, and no man is sure of life.
και κατακρατούσι τους δυνατούς διά της δυνάμεως αυτών· εγείρονται, και δεν είναι ουδείς ασφαλής εν τη ζωή αυτού.
23 Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he rests; yet his eyes are upon their ways.
Έδωκε μεν ο Θεός εις αυτούς ασφάλειαν και αναπαύονται· όμως οι οφθαλμοί αυτού είναι επί τας οδούς αυτών.
24 They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
Υψόνονται ολίγον καιρόν και δεν υπάρχουσι, και καταβάλλονται ως πάντες· σηκόνονται εκ του μέσου και αποκόπτονται ως η κεφαλή των ασταχύων·
25 And if it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
και εάν τώρα δεν ήναι ούτω, τις θέλει με διαψεύσει και εξουθενίσει τους λόγους μου;
