Job 15
1 Then answered Eliphaz the Temanite, and said,
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ତୈମନୀୟ ଇଲୀଫସ୍ ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲା,
2 Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?
“ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ଲୋକ କʼଣ ଅସାର ଜ୍ଞାନରେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେବ? ଓ ପୂର୍ବୀୟ ବାୟୁରେ ଆପଣା ଉଦର ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିବ?
3 Should he reason with useless talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?
ସେ କʼଣ ଅନର୍ଥକ କଥାରେ ଓ ନିଷ୍ଫଳ ବାକ୍ୟରେ ଯୁକ୍ତି କରିବ?
4 Yea, you cast off fear, and restrain prayer before God.
ହଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତ ଭୟ ଦୂର କରି ଦେଉଅଛ ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଭକ୍ତି କ୍ଷୀଣ କରୁଅଛ।
5 For your mouth utters your iniquity, and you choose the tongue of the crafty.
କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଅପରାଧ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମୁଖକୁ ଶିଖାଉଅଛି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଧୂର୍ତ୍ତର ଜିହ୍ୱା ପସନ୍ଦ କରୁଅଛ।
6 your own mouth condemns you, and not I: yea, your own lips testify against you.
ତୁମ୍ଭର ନିଜ ମୁଖ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦୋଷୀ କରୁଅଛି, ମୁଁ କରୁ ନାହିଁ; ଆହୁରି, ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିଜ ଓଷ୍ଠାଧର ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେଉଅଛି।
7 Are you the first man that was born? or were you made before the hills?
ମନୁଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କʼଣ ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ? ଅବା ପର୍ବତଗଣ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କʼଣ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ହୋଇଥିଲ?
8 Have you heard the secret of God? and do you restrain wisdom to yourself?
ତୁମ୍ଭେ କʼଣ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ଗୁପ୍ତ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ଶୁଣିଅଛ? ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କʼଣ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଆତ୍ମସାତ୍ କରୁଅଛ?
9 What know you, that we know not? what understand you, which is not in us?
ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଜଣା କେଉଁ କଥା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣୁଅଛ? ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଅବୁଝା କେଉଁ କଥା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବୁଝୁଅଛ?
10 With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than your father.
ପକ୍ୱକେଶ ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପିତା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ପ୍ରାଚୀନ ଅତି ବୃଦ୍ଧ ଲୋକେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି।
11 Are the consolations of God small with you? is there any secret thing with you?
ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସାନ୍ତ୍ୱନା-ବାକ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି କି କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ର ବିଷୟ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସହିତ କୋମଳ ଆଳାପ କି ତଦ୍ରୂପ?
12 Why does your heart carry you away? and what do your eyes overlook,
ତୁମ୍ଭ ମନ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କାହିଁକି ବିପଥରେ ନେଇଯାଏ? ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଚକ୍ଷୁ କାହିଁକି ମଟ୍ମଟ୍ କରେ
13 That you turn your spirit against God, and let such words go out of your mouth?
ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଆପଣା ଆତ୍ମାକୁ ଉଠାଉଅଛ ଓ ଆପଣା ମୁଖରୁ ଏପରି କଥା ବାହାରିବାକୁ ଦେଉଅଛ?
14 What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
ମନୁଷ୍ୟ କିଏ ଯେ, ସେ ଶୁଚି ହୋଇପାରେ? ଓ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଜାତ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ କିଏ ଯେ, ସେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ହୋଇପାରେ?
15 Behold, he puts no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.
ଦେଖ, ସେ ଆପଣା ପବିତ୍ରଗଣଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ; ଆହୁରି, ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳ ନିର୍ମଳ ନୁହେଁ।
16 How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinks iniquity like water?
ତେବେ ଘୃଣାର୍ହ ଓ ଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟ, ଅଧର୍ମକୁ ଜଳ ପରି ପାନକାରୀ ଯେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ, ସେ କେଡ଼େ ନ୍ୟୂନ!
17 I will show you, hear me; and that which I have seen I will declare;
ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦେଖାଇବି, ମୋʼ କଥା ଶୁଣ; ମୁଁ ଯାହା ଦେଖିଅଛି, ତାହା ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିବି;
18 Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid it:
ଜ୍ଞାନୀମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପିତୃଲୋକଙ୍କଠାରୁ ତାହା ପାଇ କହିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଗୁପ୍ତ କରି ନାହାନ୍ତି;
19 Unto whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger passed among them.
କେବଳ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଶ ଦତ୍ତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ଓ କୌଣସି ବିଦେଶୀ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଗତାୟାତ କଲା ନାହିଁ;
20 The wicked man labors with pain all his days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor.
ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକ ଆପଣାର ଯାବଜ୍ଜୀବନ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ଉପଦ୍ରବ ପାଇଁ ନିରୂପିତ ବର୍ଷ ଯାଏ କ୍ଳେଶ ଭୋଗ କରେ।
21 A dreadful sound is in his ears: in prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him.
ତାହାର କର୍ଣ୍ଣରେ ତ୍ରାସଜନକ ଶବ୍ଦ ଥାଏ, ସୌଭାଗ୍ୟ ସମୟରେ ଲୁଣ୍ଠନକାରୀ ତାହାକୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିବ;
22 He believes not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword.
ସେ ଅନ୍ଧକାରରୁ ଫେରି ଆସିବ ବୋଲି ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରେ ନାହିଁ ଓ ସେ ଖଡ୍ଗ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅପେକ୍ଷିତ;
23 He wanders abroad for bread, saying, Where is it? he knows that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.
ସେ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ନିମନ୍ତେ ବାହାରେ ବୁଲି କହଇ, ତାହା କାହିଁ? ଅନ୍ଧକାରର ଦିନ ତାହାର ସନ୍ନିକଟ ବୋଲି ସେ ଜାଣେ।
24 Trouble and anguish shall make him afraid; they shall prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle.
ସଙ୍କଟ ଓ ମନସ୍ତାପ ତାହାକୁ ଭୀତ କରେ; ଯୁଦ୍ଧାର୍ଥେ ସସଜ୍ଜ ରାଜା ତୁଲ୍ୟ ତାହା ତାହାକୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କରେ;
25 For he stretches out his hand against God, and strengthens himself against the Almighty.
କାରଣ ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ବିସ୍ତାର କରିଅଛି ଓ ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଗର୍ବାଚରଣ କରୁଅଛି;
26 He runs upon him, even on his neck, upon the thick bosses of his bucklers:
ସେ ଶକ୍ତଗ୍ରୀବ ହୋଇ ଆପଣା ଢାଲର ସ୍ଥୂଳ ଅଂଶ ଦେଖାଇ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଉପରକୁ ଦୌଡ଼େ;
27 Because he covers his face with his fatness, and makes fatness on his flanks.
ସେ ଆପଣା ମେଦରେ ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କଲା ଓ କଟିଦେଶ ହୃଷ୍ଟପୁଷ୍ଟ କଲା;
28 And he dwells in desolate cities, and in houses which no man inhabits, which are ready to become heaps.
ଆଉ, ସେ ଉଜାଡ଼-ନଗରରେ ନିବାସୀରହିତ ଓ ଢିପି ହେବାକୁ ଉଦ୍ୟତ ଗୃହରେ ବାସ କଲା।
29 He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall he prolong the perfection thereof upon the earth.
ଏଣୁ ସେ ଧନବାନ ହେବ ନାହିଁ, ଅବା ତାହାର ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ସ୍ଥାୟୀ ହେବ ନାହିଁ; କିଅବା ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ଫଳ ଭୂମିକୁ ଓହଳିବ ନାହିଁ।
30 He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall dry up his branches, and by the breath of his mouth shall he go away.
ସେ ଅନ୍ଧକାରରୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ, ଅଗ୍ନିଶିଖା ତାହାର ଶାଖା ଶୁଷ୍କ କରିବ ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ମୁଖର ନିଶ୍ୱାସରେ ସେ ଉଡ଼ିଯିବ।
31 Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence.
ସେ ଆପଣାକୁ ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ କରି ଅସାରତାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ନ କରୁ; କାରଣ ଅସାରତା ହିଁ ତାହାର ପୁରସ୍କାର ହେବ।
32 It shall be accomplished before his time, and his branch shall not be green.
ତାହା ଆପଣା ସମୟ ପୂର୍ବେ ଶେଷ ପାଇବ ଓ ତାହାର ଶାଖା ସତେଜ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।
33 He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive.
ସେ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାଲତା ନ୍ୟାୟ ଆପଣା ଅପକ୍ୱ ଫଳ ଝାଡ଼ି ପକାଇବ ଓ ଜୀତବୃକ୍ଷ ନ୍ୟାୟ ଆପଣା ଫୁଲ ପକାଇ ଦେବ।
34 For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.
କାରଣ ଅଧାର୍ମିକମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗୀଦଳ ଅଫଳ ହେବେ ଓ ଅଗ୍ନି ଲାଞ୍ଚର ତମ୍ବୁସବୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିବ।
35 They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepares deceit.
ସେମାନେ ଅନିଷ୍ଟ ଗର୍ଭଧାରଣ କରି ଅଧର୍ମ ପ୍ରସବ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉଦର ପ୍ରତାରଣା ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରେ।”
