Isaiah 28
1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
एफ्राइमका प्रत्येक मतवालाहरूले लगाएका गौरवशाली फुलमाला र त्यसको महिमित सुन्दरताको ओइलाउने फुललाई, दाखमद्यले लट्ठ परेकाहरूका हरियाली बेसीको शिरमा लगाइएको फुलमालालाई धिक्कार!
2 Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
हेर, परमप्रभुले शक्तिशाली र बलियो एक जनालाई, असिनाको हुरीबतासझैं अनि विनाशकारी आँधीझैं, मुसलधार झरी र बाडीको पानीझैं पठाउनुहुन्छ र उहाँले प्रत्येक फुलमालालाई जमिनमा फाल्नुहुनेछ ।
3 The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet:
एफ्राइमका मतवालाहरूका गौरवशाली फुलमालालाई खुट्टाले कुल्चिमिल्ची गरिनेछ ।
4 And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looks upon it sees, while it is yet in his hand he eats it up.
त्यसको महिमित सुन्दरताको ओइलाउने फुल अर्थात् धनी बेसीको शिरमा रहेको छ, त्यो पहिले पाकेको अन्जिरजस्तो हुनेछ, जब कसैले त्यसलाई देख्छ, तब आफ्नो हातमा हुँदा नै त्यसले त्यो निलिहाल्छ ।
5 In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,
त्यो दिनमा सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु नै सुन्दर मुकुट बन्नुहुनेछ र आफ्ना बाँकी रहेका मानिसहरूका निम्ति महिमाको मुकुट बन्नुहुनेछ ।
6 And for a spirit of judgment to him that sits in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.
न्याय आसनमा बस्नेको निम्ति न्यायको आत्मा र आफ्ना ढोकाहरूमा आफ्ना शत्रुलाई फर्काउनेहरूका निम्ति सामर्थ्य हुनुहुनेछ ।
7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they go astray in vision, they stumble in judgment.
तर यिनीहरू पनि दाखमद्यले लरबराउछन् र कडा मद्यले लरखराउछन् । पुजारी र अगमवक्ता कडा मद्यले लरखाराउछन् र दाखमद्यले तिनीहरूलाई निल्छ । कडा मद्यले तिनीहरू लरखराउँछन्, तिनीहरू दर्शनमा लरखराउँछन् र निर्णयमा लरबराउँछन् ।
8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.
साँच्चै नै सबै टेबलहरू बान्ताले ढाकेकोछ, जसले गर्दा त्यहाँ कुनै सफा ठाउँ नै छैन ।
9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
त्यसले कसलाई ज्ञान सिकाउनेछ र त्यसले कसलाई सन्देश बताउनेछ? जसलाई दूध छोडाइएका छन् वा जसलाई बरखरै दूधबाट अलग गरिका छन्?
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
किनकि यो आज्ञामाथि आज्ञा, आज्ञामाथि आज्ञा, नियममाथि नियम, नियममाथि नियम, अलिकति यहाँ, अलिकति त्यहाँ ।
11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
साच्चै, यी मानिहरूसँग उहाँले गिल्ला गर्ने ओठहरू र विदेशी भाषामा बोल्नुहुनेछ ।
12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith all of you may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
विगतमा उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “यो विश्राम हो, जो थकित हुन्छ त्यसलाई विश्राम गर्न देओ । अनि यो ताजा हुने कुरा हो,” तर तिनीहरू सुन्दैनन् ।
13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
त्यसैले तिनीहरूको निम्ति परमप्रभुको वचन आज्ञामाथि आज्ञा, आज्ञामाथि आज्ञा, नियममाथि नियम, नियममाथि नियम, अलिकति यहाँ, अलिकति त्यहाँ हुनेछ । ताकि तिनीहरू जान र पछि हट्न र तोडिन र समातिन सक्छन् ।
14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, all of you scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
त्यसैले ए गिल्ला गर्नेहरू हो, तिमीहरू जसले यरूशलेममा भएका यी मानिसहरूमाथि राज्य गर्छौ, तिमीहरूले परमप्रभुको वचन सुन ।
15 Because all of you have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: (Sheol h7585)
तिमीहरूले यसो भनेका हुनाले यस्तो हुनेछ, “हामीले मृत्युसित करार बाँधेका छौं र चिहनसँग हामी समहती गरेका छौं । त्यसैले डरलाग्दो कोर्राले हामीलाई भेट्टाउँदा, त्यो हामीकहाँ पुग्नेछैन । किनकि हामीले झुठलाई हाम्रो शरणस्थान बनाएका छौं र असत्यमा वास बसेका छौं।” (Sheol h7585)
16 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believes shall not make haste.
यसकारण परमप्रभु परमेश्वर भन्नहुन्छ, “हेर्, म सियोनमा एउटा जगको ढुङ्गा, जाँचिएको ढुङ्गा, बहुमूल्य कुनेढुङ्गा, एउटा बलयो जग राख्नेछु । जसले विश्वास गर्छ ऊ लाजमा पर्नेछैन ।
17 Judgment also will I apply to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
न्यायलाई म नाप्ने लट्ठी र धर्मिकतालाई साहुल बनाउनेछु । असिनाले झुटको शरणस्थानलाई बढार्नेछ र बाढीले लुक्ने ठाउँलाई डुबाउनेछ ।
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then all of you shall be trodden down by it. (Sheol h7585)
मृत्युसँग गरेको तिमीहरूको करार खारेज हुनेछ र चिहानसँगको तिमीहरूको सहमति रहनेछैन । जब उर्लंदो बाढी आउँछ, त्यसले तिमीहरूलाई डुबाउनेछ । (Sheol h7585)
19 From the time that it goes forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
जब त्यो आउँछ त्यसले तिमीहरूलाई डुबाउनेछ, त्यो हरेक बिहान आउनेछ र त्यो दिन र रात आउनेछ । जब सन्देश बुझिन्छ, त्यसले त्रास पैदा गर्नेछ ।
20 For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.
किनकि तन्केर सुत्नलाई ओछ्यान छोटो छ र आफूलाई ढाक्न कम्बल सानो छ ।”
21 For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be angry as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
पराजीम पर्वतझैं परमप्रभु उठ्नुहुनेछ । गिबोनको बेंसीमा झैं आफ्नो काम, आफ्नो अनौठो काम र उहाँको अद्भुत काम गर्न उहाँ उठ्नुहुनेछ ।
22 Now therefore be all of you not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.
यसकारण, अब गिल्ला नगर, नत्र तिमीहरूको बन्धन झन् कसिलो पारिनेछ । मैले सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु परमेश्वरबाट पृथ्वीको विनाशको उर्दी सुनेको छु ।
23 Give all of you ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.
ध्यान देओ र मेरो आवाज सुन । ध्यान मग्न होओ र मेरा वचनहरू सुन ।
24 Does the plowman plow all day to sow? does he open and break the clods of his ground?
छर्नलाई दिनभरि जोत्ने किसानले के जमिन जोत्ने काम मात्र गर्छ र? के उसले बाँजो फुटाउने र डल्लो फुटाउँछ मात्र गर्छ र?
25 When he has made plain the face thereof, does he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the spelt in their place?
जब त्यसले जमिन तयार पार्छ, के त्यसले सूँप छर्ने र जीराको बीउ फैलाउने, गहुँलाई ड्याङमा रोप्ने र जौलाई ठिक ठाउँमा र कठियालाई यसको छेउहरूमा रोप्दैन?
26 For his God does instruct him to discretion, and does teach him.
त्यसको परमेश्वरले त्यसलाई सिकाउनुहुन्छ । उहाँले त्यसलाई बुद्धिमनीसाथ सिकाउनुहुन्छ ।
27 For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.
अनि सूँपलाई हथौडाले झारिंदैन, न जीरालाई झार्न गाडा नै गुडाइन्छ । तर सूँपलाई लट्ठीले कुटिन्छ र जीरालाई लुहुरोले कुटिन्छ ।
28 Bread corn is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen.
रोटी बनाउन अन्नलाई पिसिन्छ, तर अति मिहिन पारिंदैन, र त्यसको गाडाका पाङ्ग्राहरू र त्यसका घोडाहरूले यसलाई छरे तापनि त्यसका घोडाहरूले यसलाई चूरचूर पार्दैनन् ।
29 This also comes forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.
यो पनि सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुबाट नै आउँछ, जो शिक्षा दिनमा अति हसल र बुद्धिमा उत्कृष्ट हुनुहुन्छ ।
