Isaiah 2
1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
૧આમોસના પુત્ર યશાયાને યહૂદિયા તથા યરુશાલેમ સંબંધી સંદર્શનમાં જે વાત પ્રગટ થઈ તે.
2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
૨છેલ્લાં દિવસોમાં, યહોવાહના ઘરનો પર્વત બીજા પર્વતો કરતાં ઊંચો સ્થાપન થશે અને તેને શિખરો કરતાં ઊંચો કરવામાં આવશે; અને સર્વ પ્રજાઓ તેમાં પ્રવેશ કરશે.
3 And many people shall go and say, Come all of you, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
૩ઘણા લોકો જઈને કહેશે, “ચાલો, આપણે યહોવાહના પર્વત પાસે, યાકૂબના ઈશ્વરના ઘર પાસે ચઢી જઈએ, જેથી તે આપણને તેમના માર્ગ શીખવશે અને આપણે તેમના માર્ગમાં ચાલીશું.” કેમ કે નિયમશાસ્ત્ર સિયોનમાંથી અને યહોવાહનાં વચન યરુશાલેમમાંથી નીકળશે
4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
૪તે વિદેશીઓમાં ઇનસાફ કરશે અને ઘણા લોકોનો ન્યાય કરશે; તેઓ પોતાની તલવારોને ટીપીને હળના ફળાં અને પોતાના ભાલાઓનાં ધારિયાં બનાવશે; પ્રજાઓ એકબીજાની વિરુદ્ધ તલવાર ઉગામશે નહિ અને તેઓ ફરીથી યુદ્ધકળા શીખશે નહિ.
5 O house of Jacob, come all of you, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
૫હે યાકૂબના વંશજો, આવો, આપણે યહોવાહના પ્રકાશમાં ચાલીએ.
6 Therefore you have forsaken your people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.
૬કેમ કે તમે તમારા લોકોને, એટલે યાકૂબના સંતાનોને તજી દીધા છે, કારણ કે તેઓ પૂર્વ તરફના દેશોના રિવાજોથી ભરપૂર અને પલિસ્તીઓની જેમ શકુન જોનારા થયા છે અને તેઓ વિદેશીઓનાં સંતાનો સાથે હાથ મિલાવે છે.
7 Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:
૭તેઓની ભૂમિ સોનાચાંદીથી ભરપૂર છે, તેઓના ખજાનાનો કોઈ પાર નથી; તેઓનો દેશ ઘોડાઓથી ભરપૂર છે અને તેઓના રથોનો કોઈ પાર નથી.
8 Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:
૮વળી તેઓનો દેશ મૂર્તિઓથી ભરપૂર છે; તેઓ પોતાને હાથે બનાવેલી વસ્તુને, પોતાની આંગળીઓએ જે બનાવ્યું છે તેને પૂજે છે.
9 And the mean man bows down, and the great man humbles himself: therefore forgive them not.
૯તે લોકો ઘૂંટણે પડશે અને દરેક વ્યક્તિને નીચા નમાવવામાં આવશે. તેથી તેમનો સ્વીકાર કરશો નહિ.
10 Enter into the rock, and hide you in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.
૧૦યહોવાહના ભયથી અને તેમના માહાત્મ્યના પ્રતાપથી બચવા, ખડકોમાં શરણ શોધો અને જમીનમાં સંતાઈ જાઓ.
11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
૧૧માણસની ગર્વિષ્ઠ દૃષ્ટિ નીચી કરવામાં આવશે અને પુરુષોનું અભિમાન ઉતારવામાં આવશે, અને તે દિવસે એકલા યહોવાહ જ શ્રેષ્ઠ મનાશે.
12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
૧૨કેમ કે તે સૈન્યોના યહોવાહનો દિવસ આવશે તે દરેક વિરુદ્ધ જે ગર્વિષ્ઠ તથા મગરૂર છે અને દરેક જે અભિમાની છે, તે સર્વને નમાવવામાં આવશે.
13 And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,
૧૩લબાનોનનાં સર્વ મોટાં અને ઊંચાં થયેલાં દેવદાર વૃક્ષો પર અને બાશાનના સર્વ એલોન વૃક્ષો પર;
14 And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,
૧૪અને સર્વ મોટા પર્વતો પર અને સર્વ ઊંચા ટેકરાઓ પર;
15 And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,
૧૫અને સર્વ ઊંચા મિનારા પર અને દરેક કિલ્લાના કોટ પર;
16 And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.
૧૬અને તાર્શીશના સર્વ વહાણો પર અને દરેક સઢવાળાં જહાજો પર તે દિવસે આવનાર છે.
17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
૧૭તે દિવસે, માણસનો ગર્વ ઉતારવામાં આવશે અને પુરુષોનું અભિમાન જતું રહેશે; એકલા યહોવાહ તે દિવસે શ્રેષ્ઠ મનાશે.
18 And the idols he shall utterly abolish.
૧૮મૂર્તિઓ તો બિલકુલ નાબૂદ થઈ જશે.
19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake terribly the earth.
૧૯યહોવાહ પૃથ્વીને કંપાવવાને ઊઠશે, ત્યારે તેમના ભયથી તથા તેમના મહિમાના ગૌરવથી બચવા, માણસો ખડકોની ગુફાઓમાં અને ભૂમિની બખોલમાં સંતાઈ જશે.
20 In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;
૨૦તે દિવસે માણસ, ભજવા માટે પોતે બનાવેલી સોનાચાંદીની મૂર્તિઓને, છછૂંદર તથા ચામાચિડિયા પાસે ફેંકી દેશે.
21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the rugged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake terribly the earth.
૨૧જ્યારે યહોવાહ પૃથ્વીને કંપાવવાને ઊઠશે ત્યારે તેઓ તેના રોષથી અને તેના મહિમાના ગૌરવથી બચવા, લોકો પર્વતોની ગુફાઓમાં અને ખડકોની તિરાડોમાં ભરાઈ જશે.
22 Cease all of you from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?
૨૨માણસનો ભરોસો છોડી દો, કેમ કે તેના શ્વાસ તેના નસકોરામાં છે; તે શી ગણતરીમાં છે?
