Isaiah 16
1 Send all of you the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.
"Lähettäkää maanhallitsijalle tulevat lampaat Selasta erämaan kautta tytär Siionin vuorelle."
2 For it shall be, that, as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon.
Ja niinkuin pakenevat linnut, säikytetty pesue, ovat Mooabin tyttäret Arnonin kahlauspaikoilla.
3 Take counsel, execute judgment; make your shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; betray not him that wanders.
"Anna neuvo, käy välittämään, tee varjosi yön kaltaiseksi keskellä päivää, kätke karkoitetut, älä ilmaise pakenevia.
4 Let mine outcasts dwell with you, Moab; be you a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortionist is at an end, the spoiler ceases, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.
Salli minun karkoitettujeni asua tykönäsi, ole Mooabille suojana hävittäjää vastaan. Sillä sortajalle tulee loppu, hävitys lakkaa, ja polkija on maasta poissa;
5 And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.
ja valtaistuin vahvistetaan laupeudella, ja sillä istuu vakaasti Daavidin majassa tuomari, joka harrastaa oikeutta ja vanhurskautta ahkeroitsee."
6 We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so.
"Me olemme kuulleet Mooabin ylpeilyn, tuon ylen korskean, hänen kopeilunsa, ylpeilynsä ja vihansa, hänen väärät puheensa."
7 Therefore shall Moab wail for Moab, every one shall wail: for the foundations of Kirhareseth shall all of you mourn; surely they are stricken.
Sentähden Mooab Mooabille valittaa, kaikki he valittavat; Kiir-Haresetin rypälekakkuja te huokailette, ratki murtuneina.
8 For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the principal plants thereof, they are come even unto Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.
Sillä kuihtuneet ovat Hesbonin viinitarhat, Sibman viiniköynnökset; niiden jalot rypäleet kaatoivat kansojen valtiaita, ne ulottuivat Jaeseriin asti, harhailivat halki erämaan, niiden vesat levisivät, menivät yli meren.
9 Therefore I will mourn for with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water you with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for your summer fruits and for your harvest is fallen.
Sentähden minä itken Jaeserin kanssa, itken Sibman viiniköynnöksiä, kastelen kyyneleilläni sinua, Hesbon, ja sinua, Elale, sillä hedelmän-ja viininkorjuun keskeen on kajahtanut sotahuuto.
10 And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease.
Ilo ja riemu on tauonnut puutarhasta, viinitarhoissa ei riemuita, ei remahdella; ei poljeta viiniä viinikuurnissa. "Minä olen vaientanut ilohuudon."
11 Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kirharesh.
Siksi väräjää minun sisimpäni Mooabin tähden niinkuin kannel, minun sydämeni Kiir-Hereksen tähden.
12 And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail.
Ja vaikka Mooab kuinka astuisi uhrikukkulalle ja sillä itsensä uuvuttaisi ja vaikka kuinka menisi pyhäkköönsä rukoilemaan, ei se häntä auta.
13 This is the word that the LORD has spoken concerning Moab since that time.
Tämä on sana, jonka Herra ennen puhui Mooabille.
14 But now the LORD has spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of a worker, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.
Mutta nyt Herra puhuu sanoen: Ennenkuin kolme vuotta on kulunut-kolme palkkalaisen vuotta-painuu halvaksi Mooabin kunnia, sen suuret laumat, ja jäännös on oleva pieni, vähäpätöinen, mitätön.
