Hebrews 5
1 For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:
हर एक महापुरोहित मनुष्यों में से चुना जाता है और मनुष्यों के ही लिए परमेश्वर से संबंधित संस्कारों के लिए चुना जाता है कि पापों के लिए भेंट तथा बलि दोनों चढ़ाया करे.
2 Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.
उसमें अज्ञानों तथा भूले-भटकों के साथ नम्र व्यवहार करने की क्षमता होती है क्योंकि वह स्वयं भी निर्बलताओं के अधीन है.
3 And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.
इसलिये यह आवश्यक हो जाता है कि वह पापों के लिए बलि चढ़ाया करे—लोगों के लिए तथा स्वयं अपने लिए.
4 And no man takes this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
किसी भी व्यक्ति को यह सम्मान अपनी कोशिश से नहीं परंतु परमेश्वर की बुलाहट द्वारा प्राप्त होती है, जैसे हारोन को.
5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, You are my Son, to day have I begotten you.
इसी प्रकार मसीह ने भी महापुरोहित के पद पर बैठने के लिए स्वयं को ऊंचा नहीं किया परंतु उन्होंने, जिन्होंने उनसे यह कहा, “तुम मेरे पुत्र हो; आज मैं तुम्हारा पिता हुआ हूं.”
6 As he says also in another place, You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. (aiōn g165)
जैसा उन्होंने दूसरी जगह भी कहा है, “तुम मेलखीज़ेदेक की शृंखला में, एक अनंत काल के पुरोहित हो.” (aiōn g165)
7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
अपने देह में रहने के समय में उन्होंने ऊंचे शब्द में रोते हुए, आंसुओं के साथ उनके सामने प्रार्थनाएं और विनती की, जो उन्हें मृत्यु से बचा सकते थे, उनकी परमेश्वर में भक्ति के कारण उनकी प्रार्थनाएं स्वीकार की गई.
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
पुत्र होने पर भी, उन्होंने अपने दुःख उठाने से आज्ञा मानने की शिक्षा ली.
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; (aiōnios g166)
फिर, सिद्ध घोषित किए जाने के बाद वह स्वयं उन सबके लिए, जो उनकी आज्ञाओं का पालन करते हैं, अनंत काल उद्धार का कारण बन गए; (aiōnios g166)
10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
क्योंकि वह परमेश्वर द्वारा मेलखीज़ेदेक की श्रृंखला के महापुरोहित चुने गए थे.
11 Of whom we have (logos) many things to say, (logos) and hard to be uttered, seeing all of you are dull of hearing.
हमारे पास इस विषय में कहने के लिए बहुत कुछ है तथा इसका वर्णन करना भी कठिन काम है क्योंकि तुम अपनी सुनने की क्षमता खो बैठे हो.
12 For when for the time all of you ought to be teachers, all of you have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong food.
समय के अनुसार तो तुम्हें अब तक शिक्षक बन जाना चाहिए था किंतु अब आवश्यक यह हो गया है कि कोई तुम्हें दोबारा परमेश्वर के ईश्वरीय वचनों के शुरू के सिद्धांतों की शिक्षा दे. तुम्हें ठोस आहार नहीं, दूध की ज़रूरत हो गई है!
13 For every one that uses milk is unskillful in the word (logos) of righteousness: for he is a babe.
वह जो मात्र दूध का सेवन करता है, धार्मिकता की शिक्षा से अपरिचित है, क्योंकि वह शिशु है.
14 But strong food belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
ठोस आहार सयानों के लिए होता है, जिन्होंने लगातार अभ्यास के द्वारा अपनी ज्ञानेन्द्रियों को इसके प्रति निपुण बना लिया है कि क्या सही है और क्या गलत.
