Galatians 5
1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
ⲁ̅ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲣⲙ̅ϩⲉ ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲁϥⲁⲁⲛ ⲛ̅ⲣⲙ̅ϩⲉ. ⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ϭⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲧⲙ̅ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲟⲛ ϩⲁⲡⲛⲁϩⲃⲉϥ ⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧϩⲙ̅ϩⲁⲗ·
2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if all of you be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
ⲃ̅ⲉⲓⲥϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ϯϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅. ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϣⲁⲛⲥⲃ̅ⲃⲉⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲁϯϩⲏⲩ ⲙ̅ⲙⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲁⲛ.
3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
ⲅ̅ϯⲣ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲛ̅ⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲥⲃ̅ⲃⲏⲩⲧ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲣ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ̅.
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; all of you are fallen from grace.
ⲇ̅ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲥϥ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲧⲧⲙⲁⲉⲓⲟ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ. ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϩⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉϩⲙⲟⲧ.
5 For we through the Spirit (pneuma) wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
ⲉ̅ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲉⲛϭⲱϣⲧ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲏⲧⲥ̅ ⲛ̅ⲑⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⲛ̅ⲧⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ.
6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avails any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love. (agape)
ⲋ̅ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙⲛ̅ⲥⲃ̅ⲃⲉ ϭⲙ̅ϭⲟⲙ. ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲧⲥⲃ̅ⲃⲉ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲟⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲧⲉ ⲉⲥⲉⲛⲉⲣⲅⲓ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ.
7 All of you did run well; who did hinder you that all of you should not obey the truth?
ⲍ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲡⲏⲧ ⲕⲁⲗⲱⲥ ⲡⲉ. ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥϯϫⲣⲟⲡ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲓⲑⲉ ⲉⲧⲙⲉ.
8 This persuasion comes not of him that calls you.
ⲏ̅ⲡⲉⲓ̈ⲡⲓⲑⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲉϩⲙ̅ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅.
9 A little leaven leavens the whole lump.
ⲑ̅ϣⲁⲣⲉⲟⲩⲕⲟⲩⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ⲑⲁⲃ ⲧⲣⲉⲡⲟⲩⲱϣⲙ̅ ⲧⲏⲣϥ̅ ϥⲓ.
10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that all of you will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubles you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
ⲓ̅ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯⲧⲏⲕ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧ ⲙ̅ⲙⲱⲧⲛ̅ ϩⲙ̅ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲉϭⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲁⲛ. ⲡⲉⲧϣⲧⲟⲣⲧⲣ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲛⲁϥⲓⲡⲉⲕⲣⲓⲙⲁ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲡⲉ·
11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲉϣϫⲉⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲉⲓⲧⲁϣⲉⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲙ̅ⲡⲥⲃ̅ⲃⲉ. ⲁϩⲣⲟⲓ̈ ⲟⲛ ⲥⲉⲇⲓⲱⲕⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲉⲓ. ⲉⲓ̈ⲉ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲥϥ̅ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲡⲉⲥⲕⲁⲛⲇⲁⲗⲟⲛ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲥ̅xⲟ̅ⲥ̅.
12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ϩⲁⲙⲟⲓ̈ ⲟⲛ ⲛⲉⲩⲛⲁϭⲱϫⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧϣⲧⲟⲣⲧⲣ̅ ⲙ̅ⲙⲱⲧⲛ̅.
13 For, brethren, all of you have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love (agape) serve one another.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲩⲧⲉϩⲙ̅ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲩⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲣⲙ̅ϩⲉ. ⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲙⲟⲛⲟⲛ ⲧⲉⲛⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲣⲙ̅ϩⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲧⲣⲉⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲩⲁⲫⲟⲣⲙⲏ ⲛ̅ⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ̅. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁⲣⲓϩⲙ̅ϩⲁⲗ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲉⲣⲏⲩ.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, (logos) even in this; You shall love your neighbour as yourself.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲏⲣϥ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁϥϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲧ ϩⲛ̅ⲉⲕⲉⲙⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲑⲓⲧⲟⲩⲱⲕ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲕϩⲉ.
15 But if all of you bite and devour one another, take heed that all of you be not consumed one of another.
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲉϣϫⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲗⲱⲕⲥ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲉⲣⲏⲩ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲙ. ϭⲱϣⲧ̅ ⲙⲏⲡⲟⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲱϫⲛ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲉⲣⲏⲩ·
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, (pneuma) and all of you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ϯϫⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲉⲡⲓⲑⲩⲙⲓⲁ ⲛ̅ⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ̅ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲛ̅ϫⲟⲕⲥ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, (pneuma) and the Spirit (pneuma) against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that all of you cannot do the things that all of you would.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ̅ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲡⲓⲑⲩⲙⲉⲓ ⲟⲩⲃⲉⲡⲉⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲟⲩⲃⲉⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ̅. ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ϭⲉ ⲥⲉϯ ⲟⲩⲃⲉⲛⲉⲩⲉⲣⲏⲩ. ϫⲉⲕⲁⲁⲥ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲁϣⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲁⲁⲩ.
18 But if all of you be led of the Spirit, (pneuma) all of you are not under the law.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲉϣϫⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉⲓ̈ⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲁⲛ ϩⲁⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲥⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛϩ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛⲉϩⲃⲏⲩⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ̅ ⲉⲧⲉⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲛⲉ. ⲙ̅ⲡⲟⲣⲛⲓⲁ. ⲛ̅ϫⲱϩⲙ̅. ⲛ̅ⲥⲱⲱϥ.
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, worldy jealousies, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
ⲕ̅ⲙ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲣⲉϥϣⲙ̅ϣⲉⲉⲓⲇⲱⲗⲟⲛ. ⲙ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲣⲉϥⲣ̅ⲡⲁϩⲣⲉ. ⲙ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲧϫⲁϫⲉ. ⲛ̅ϯⲧⲱⲛ. ⲛ̅ⲕⲱϩ. ⲛ̅ϭⲱⲛⲧ̅ ⲙ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲣⲉϥϯⲧⲱⲛ. ⲙ̅ⲡⲱⲣϫ. ⲛ̅ϩⲁⲓⲣⲉⲥⲓⲥ.
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲛ̅ⲗⲁ. ⲛ̅ϯϩⲉ. ⲛ̅ϫⲏⲣ ⲙⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛⲁⲓ̈. ⲛⲉϯϣⲣⲡ̅ϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅. ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓ̈ϣⲣⲡ̅ϫⲟⲟⲩ. ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲓ̈ϩⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲟ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ·
22 But the fruit of the Spirit (pneuma) is love, (agape) joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲡⲕⲁⲣⲡⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲡⲉ ⲧⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ. ⲡⲣⲁϣⲉ. ϯⲣⲏⲛⲏ. ⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧϩⲁⲣϣ̅ϩⲏⲧ. ⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲭⲣⲏⲥⲧⲟⲥ. ⲡⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩϥ. ⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ.
23 Meekness, wilful restrain: against such there is no law.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲣⲙ̅ⲣⲁϣ. ⲧⲉⲅⲕⲣⲁⲧⲓⲁ. ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲓ̈ⲙⲓⲛⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ϯ ⲟⲩⲃⲏⲩ ⲁⲛ.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲛⲁⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲁⲩⲥ̅xⲟ̅ⲩ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ̅ ⲙⲛ̅ⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲑⲟⲥ. ⲙⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲡⲓⲑⲩⲙⲓⲁ.
25 If we live in the Spirit, (pneuma) let us also walk in the Spirit. (pneuma)
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲉϣϫⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲟⲛϩ̅ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅. ⲙⲁⲣⲛ̅ⲁϩⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲧⲣⲉⲛϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ϣⲟⲩϣⲟⲩ. ⲉⲛⲡⲣⲟⲕⲁⲗⲉⲓ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲛⲉⲣⲏⲩ. ⲉⲛⲫⲑⲟⲛⲉⲓ ⲉⲛⲉⲛⲉⲣⲏⲩ.
