Ezekiel 35

1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

La Palabra de Yavé vino a mí:

2 Son of man, set your face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,

Hijo de hombre, levanta tu rostro hacia la montaña de Seír, y profetiza contra ella,

3 And say unto it, Thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against you, and I will stretch out mine hand against you, and I will make you most desolate.

Y dile: ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Ciertamente, Yo estoy contra ti, oh montaña de Seír. Extenderé mi mano contra ti y te convertiré en un desierto y una desolación.

4 I will lay your cities waste, and you shall be desolate, and you shall know that I am the LORD.

Convertiré en escombros tus ciudades, y quedarás desolada. Sabrás que Yo soy Yavé.

5 Because you have had a perpetual hatred, and have shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:

Porque tuviste una eterna enemistad y entregaste a los hijos de Israel al poder de la espada en el tiempo de su aflicción, en tiempo sumamente adverso.

6 Therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, I will prepare you unto blood, and blood shall pursue you: since you have not hated blood, even blood shall pursue you.

Por tanto vivo Yo, dice ʼAdonay Yavé, que a sangre te destinaré, y la sangre te perseguirá. Porque no aborreciste la sangre, la sangre te perseguirá.

7 Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passes out and him that returns.

Convertiré la montaña de Seír en una completa desolación, y cortaré de ella al que sale y al que regresa.

8 And I will fill his mountains with his slain men: in your hills, and in your valleys, and in all your rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword.

Llenaré tus montañas de asesinados. Los asesinados a espada caerán en tus colinas, tus valles y todos tus arroyos.

9 I will make you perpetual desolations, and your cities shall not return: and all of you shall know that I am the LORD.

Te convertiré en desolación perpetua. Tus ciudades no serán habitadas. Entonces sabrás que Yo soy Yavé.

10 Because you have said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there:

Porque dijiste: Esas dos naciones y estas dos tierras serán mías. Las poseeremos, aunque Yavé esté allí.

11 Therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, I will even do according to your anger, and according to your envy which you have used out of your hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged you.

Por tanto vivo Yo, dice ʼAdonay Yavé, que te trataré según tu ira y tu envidia que mostraste a causa de tu odio contra ellos. De este modo me daré a conocer entre ellos, cuando te juzgue.

12 And you shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all your blasphemies which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume.

Sabrás que Yo, Yavé, escuché todas tus blasfemias que pronunciaste contra las montañas de Israel cuando dijiste: ¡Están desoladas! ¡Nos fueron entregadas para que las devoremos!

13 Thus with your mouth all of you have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them.

Así te jactaste y multiplicaste tus palabras contra Mí. Yo las oí.

14 Thus says the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate.

ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Mientras toda la tierra se regocija, te convertiré en una desolación.

15 As you did rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto you: you shall be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Como te regocijaste por la Casa de Israel porque fue desolada, así haré Yo contigo. Tú y todo Edom serán una desolación, oh montaña de Seír. Y sabrán que Yo soy Yavé.
