Exodus 40
1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
TUHAN berkata kepada Musa,
2 On the first day of the first month shall you set up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.
"Dirikanlah Kemah-Ku pada tanggal satu bulan satu.
3 And you shall put therein the ark of the testimony, and cover the ark with the vail.
Masukkan ke dalamnya Peti Perjanjian yang berisi Sepuluh Perintah dan pasanglah kain penudung di depannya.
4 And you shall bring in the table, and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it; and you shall bring in the candlestick, and light the lamps thereof.
Tempatkanlah meja dengan perlengkapannya. Masukkan juga kaki lampu dan pasanglah lampunya.
5 And you shall set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the hanging of the door to the tabernacle.
Letakkanlah mezbah emas tempat membakar dupa di depan Peti Perjanjian, dan gantungkanlah tabir di pintu Kemah.
6 And you shall set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.
Letakkan mezbah untuk kurban bakaran di depan pintu Kemah.
7 And you shall set the vessel that holds water between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and shall put water therein.
Taruhlah bak air di antara Kemah dan mezbah itu, lalu isilah dengan air.
8 And you shall set up the court round about, and hang up the hanging at the court gate.
Kemudian pasanglah layar di sekeliling pelataran Kemah, dan gantungkan tirai pintu gerbang pelataran.
9 And you shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein, and shall hallow it, and all the vessels thereof: and it shall be holy.
Kemudian Kemah dan segala perlengkapannya harus kaupersembahkan kepada-Ku dengan cara meminyakinya dengan minyak upacara, maka semua itu dikhususkan untuk Aku.
10 And you shall anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all his vessels, and sanctify the altar: and it shall be an altar most holy.
Persembahkanlah mezbah dan segala perlengkapannya dengan cara itu, supaya seluruhnya dikhususkan untuk Aku.
11 And you shall anoint the vessel that holds water and his foot, and sanctify it.
Buatlah begitu juga dengan bak air dan alasnya.
12 And you shall bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water.
Sesudah itu, suruhlah Harun dan anak-anaknya datang ke pintu Kemah dan membasuh diri.
13 And you shall put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.
Kenakan pakaian imam pada Harun, dan minyakilah dia supaya ia dikhususkan untuk melayani Aku sebagai imam.
14 And you shall bring his sons, and clothe them with coats:
Lalu suruhlah anak-anaknya mendekat, dan kenakanlah kemeja pada mereka.
15 And you shall anoint them, as you did anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.
Lalu minyakilah mereka seperti kauminyaki ayah mereka, supaya mereka pun dapat melayani Aku sebagai imam. Dengan upacara minyak itu, suku mereka turun-temurun memegang jabatan imam."
16 Thus did Moses: according to all that the LORD commanded him, so did he.
Musa melakukan segalanya seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN.
17 And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up.
Maka pada tanggal satu bulan satu dalam tahun kedua sesudah bangsa Israel meninggalkan Mesir, Kemah TUHAN itu dipasang.
18 And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and fastened his sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up his pillars.
Musa meletakkan alas-alasnya, mendirikan rangka-rangkanya, memasang kayu-kayu lintangnya, dan menegakkan tiang-tiangnya.
19 And he spread abroad the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Lalu dibentangkannya atap Kemah dengan tutup bagian luar di atasnya seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN.
20 And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:
Kemudian kedua batu itu dimasukkannya ke dalam Peti Perjanjian. Lalu Musa memasang tutup Peti itu dan memasukkan kayu pengusungnya ke dalam gelangnya.
21 And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the vail of the covering, and covered the ark of the testimony; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Lalu ia menaruh Peti itu di dalam Kemah dan menggantungkan kain penudung di depannya, seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepadanya.
22 And he put the table in the tent of the congregation, upon the side of the tabernacle northward, without the vail.
Kemudian Musa menempatkan meja di dalam Kemah, di bagian utara sebelah luar kain,
23 And he set the bread in order upon it before the LORD; as the LORD had commanded Moses.
lalu di atas meja itu diletakkan roti sajian, seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa.
24 And he put the candlestick in the tent of the congregation, opposite to the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.
Kaki lampu diletakkannya di dalam Kemah, di bagian selatan, berhadapan dengan meja itu,
25 And he lighted the lamps before the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.
lalu, lampu-lampu itu dinyalakannya di hadapan TUHAN.
26 And he put the golden altar in the tent of the congregation before the vail:
Mezbah emas ditempatkannya di dalam Kemah, di depan kain,
27 And he burnt sweet incense thereon; as the LORD commanded Moses.
lalu dibakarnya dupa harum seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa.
28 And he set up the hanging at the door of the tabernacle.
Musa menggantungkan tirai pintu Kemah,
29 And he put the altar of burnt offering by the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation, and offered upon it the burnt offering and the food offering; as the LORD commanded Moses.
dan di depan pintu itu ditaruhnya mezbah untuk kurban bakaran. Di atas mezbah itu dipersembahkannya kurban bakaran dan kurban sajian.
30 And he set the vessel that holds water between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and put water there, to wash likewise.
Bak perunggu ditaruhnya di antara Kemah dan mezbah, lalu diisinya dengan air.
31 And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet thereat:
Musa, Harun dan anak-anaknya membasuh tangan dan kaki mereka di situ,
32 When they went into the tent of the congregation, and when they came near unto the altar, they washed; as the LORD commanded Moses.
setiap kali mereka masuk ke dalam Kemah TUHAN atau mendekati mezbah.
33 And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the hanging of the court gate. So Moses finished the work.
Di sekeliling Kemah dan mezbah itu Musa memasang layar, lalu ia menggantungkan tirai pintu gerbang pelataran. Maka selesailah semua pekerjaan itu.
34 Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
Kemudian turunlah awan menutupi Kemah TUHAN, dan Kemah itu penuh dengan cahaya kehadiran TUHAN.
35 And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
Oleh karena itu Musa tak dapat masuk ke dalam Kemah itu.
36 And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys:
Setiap kali awan itu naik dari atas Kemah TUHAN, bangsa Israel membongkar perkemahan mereka untuk pindah ke tempat lain.
37 But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up.
Tetapi kalau awan itu tidak naik, mereka tidak berangkat dari situ.
38 For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
Selama bangsa Israel mengembara, TUHAN ada di Kemah itu dalam rupa awan pada waktu siang dan dalam rupa api pada waktu malam.
