Amos 2

1 Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:

۱ چهار تقصیر موآب عقوبتش را نخواهم برگردانید زیرا که استخوانهای پادشاه ادوم راآهک پختند.

2 But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kirioth: and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet:

۲ پس آتش بر موآب می‌فرستم تاقصرهای قریوت را بسوزاند و موآب با هنگامه وخروش و صدای کرنا خواهد مرد.

3 And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, says the LORD.

۳ و خداوندمی گوید که داور را از میانش منقطع خواهم ساخت و همه سرورانش را با وی خواهم کشت.

4 Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to go astray, after the which their fathers have walked:

۴ خداوند چنین می‌گوید: به‌سبب سه و چهارتقصیر یهودا عقوبتش را نخواهم برگردانید زیراکه شریعت خداوند را ترک نموده، فرایض او رانگاه نداشتند و دروغهای ایشان که پدرانشان آنهارا پیروی نمودند ایشان را گمراه کرد.

5 But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.

۵ پس آتش بر یهودا خواهم فرستاد تا قصرهای اورشلیم رابسوزاند.

6 Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes;

۶ خداوند چنین می‌گوید: به‌سبب سه و چهارتقصیر اسرائیل عقوبتش را نخواهم برگردانیدزیرا که مرد عادل را به نقره و مسکین را به زوج نعلین فروختند.

7 That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:

۷ و به غبار زمین که بر سرمسکینان است حرص دارند و راه حلیمان رامنحرف می‌سازند و پسر و پدر به یک دختردرآمده، اسم قدوس مرا بی‌حرمت می‌کنند.

8 And they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.

۸ وبر رختی که گرو می‌گیرند، نزد هر مذبح می‌خوابند و شراب جریمه شدگان را در خانه خدای خود می‌نوشند.

9 Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.

۹ و حال آنکه من اموریان را که قامت ایشان مانند قد سرو آزاد بود و ایشان مثل بلوط تنومندبودند، پیش روی ایشان هلاک ساختم و میوه ایشان را از بالا و ریشه های ایشان را از پایین تلف نمودم.

10 Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

۱۰ و من شما را از زمین مصر برآورده، چهل سال در بیابان گردش دادم تا زمین اموریان رابه تصرف آورید.

11 And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites. Is it not even thus, O all of you children of Israel? says the LORD.

۱۱ و بعضی از پسران شما را انبیاو بعضی از جوانان شما را نذیره قرار دادم. خداوند می‌گوید: ای بنی‌اسرائیل آیا چنین نیست؟

12 But all of you gave the Nazarites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.

۱۲ اما شما نذیره‌ها را شراب نوشانیدید وانبیا را نهی نموده، گفتید که نبوت مکنید.

13 Behold, I am pressed under you, as a cart is pressed that is full of sheaves.

۱۳ اینک من شما را تنگ خواهم گذارد چنانکه ارابه‌ای که از بافه‌ها پر باشد، تنگ گذارده می‌شود.

14 Therefore the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver himself:

۱۴ و مفر برای تندرو فوت خواهد شد و تنومند به توانایی خویش غالب نخواهد آمد و جبار جان خود را نخواهد رهانید.

15 Neither shall he stand that handles the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver himself: neither shall he that rides the horse deliver himself.

۱۵ و تیرانداز نخواهدایستاد و تیزپا خود را نخواهد رهانید و اسب‌سوارجان خود را خلاصی نخواهد داد.

16 And he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, says the LORD.

۱۶ و خداوندمی گوید که شجاع ترین جباران در آن روز عریان خواهند گریخت.
