Acts 9
1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
掃祿還是向主的門徒口吐恐嚇和兇殺之氣，遂去見大司祭，
2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.
求他發文書給大馬士革各會堂，凡他搜出的這道門的人，不拘男女，都綁起來，解送到耶路撒冷。
3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
當他前行，快要臨近大馬士革的時候，忽然從天上有一道光，環射到他身上。
4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecute you me?
他便跌倒在地，聽見有聲音向他說：「掃祿，掃祿，你為什麼迫害我﹖」
5 And he said, Who are you, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom you persecute: it is hard for you to kick against the pricks.
他答說：「主! 你是誰﹖」主說：「我就是你所迫害的耶穌。
6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what will you have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told you what you must do.
但是，你起來進城去，必有人告訴你當作什麼。」
7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.
陪他同行的人站在那裏，說不出話來；只聽見聲音，卻看不見什麼人。
8 And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.
掃祿從地上起來，睜開他的眼，什麼也看不見了。人們牽著他的手，領他進了大馬士革。
9 And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.
三天的工夫看不見，也不吃，也不喝。
10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
在大馬士革有個門徒，名叫阿納尼雅，主在異像中向他說：「阿納尼雅！」他答說：「主，我在這裏。」
11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prays,
主向他說：「起來，往那條名叫「直街」的地方去，要在猶大家裏找一個名叫掃祿的塔爾索人；看，他正在祈禱。」──
12 And has seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.
掃祿此時在異像中看見一個名叫阿納尼雅的人進來給自己覆手， 使他復明──
13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem:
阿納尼雅卻答說：「關於這個人，我聽許多人說：他在耶路撒冷對你的聖徒作了許多壞事；
14 And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on your name.
他在這裏也有從大司祭取得的權柄，要捆綁一切呼號你名字的人。」
15 But the Lord said unto him, Go your way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
主卻向他說：「你去罷！因為這人是我所揀選的器皿，把我的名字帶到外邦人、 國王和以色列子民前，
16 For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.
因為我要指示他，為我的名字該受多麼大的苦。」
17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto you in the way as you came, has sent me, that you might receive your sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit. (pneuma)
阿納尼雅就去了，進了那一家，給他覆手說：「掃祿兄弟！在你來的路上，發顯給你的主耶穌打發我來，叫你看見，叫你充滿聖神。」
18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
立刻有像鱗甲一樣的東西，從他的眼中掉了下來，他便看見了，遂起來領 了洗。
19 And when he had received food, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.
進食以後，就有了力量。他同大馬士革的門徒住了幾天之後，
20 And immediately he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.
即刻在各會堂中宣講耶穌，說他是天主子。
21 But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came here for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?
凡聽見的人都奇怪說：「這不是那在耶路撒冷消滅呼求這名字的人嗎﹖他不是為這事來這裏，要捆綁他們，解送到大司祭前嗎﹖」
22 But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.
掃祿卻更強而有力了，使僑居在大馬士革的猶太人驚惶失措，因為他指證耶穌就是默西亞。
23 And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him:
過了一些時日，猶太人就共同商議要傷害他。
24 But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.
他們的計謀卻為掃祿知道了。猶太人便日夜把守城門，要殺害他。
25 Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket.
但他的門徒把他帶去，夜間用籃子將他從城牆上縋了下去。
26 And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.
掃祿來到耶路撒冷，設法與門徒們交結；眾人都怕他，不信他是門徒。
27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.
巴爾納伯卻接待了他，引他去見宗徒，並給他們講述掃祿在路上怎樣看見了主，主怎樣給他說了話；他又怎樣在大馬士革因耶穌的名字勇敢講道。
28 And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem.
掃祿遂在耶路撒冷同他們來往，也因主的名字勇敢講道；
29 And he spoke boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him.
並且同希臘化的猶太人談論辯道，他們就打算殺害他。
30 Which when the brethren knew, they brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus.
兄弟們一知道這事，就領他下到凱撒勒雅，以後打發他到塔爾索去了。
31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, (pneuma) were multiplied.
教會既在全猶太、加里肋亞和撒瑪黎雅得了平安，遂建立起來，懷著敬畏上主之情行動，並因著聖神的鼓勵，逐漸發展。
32 And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.
當伯多祿巡視各處時，也到了居住在里達的聖徒那裏。
33 And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy.
在那裏遇見了一個人，名叫艾乃阿，患癱瘓病，躺在床上已有八年。
34 And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ makes you whole: arise, and make your bed. And he arose immediately.
伯多祿向他說：「艾乃阿！耶穌基督治好你了；起來，整理你的床褥罷！」他即刻起來了。
35 And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.
凡住在里達和沙龍的人，見了他，就都歸依了主。
36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and kind acts which she did.
在約培有個女門徒，名叫塔彼達，希臘文叫作多爾卡，她多行善事，廣施賙濟，
37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.
就在那幾天病死了；人把她洗滌後，停在樓上。
38 And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.
里達因臨近約培，門徒們聽說伯多祿在那裏，就打發兩個人到他那裏去，請求說：「你不可再遲延倒到我們那裏去了。」
39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and showing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.
伯多祿就動身同他們去了；他一來到，他們領他上了樓；所有的寡婦都來到他前，哭著把多爾卡同她們在一起的時候所製的內外衣，指給他看。
40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
伯多祿叫眾人都退到外面以後，遂屈膝祈禱，轉身向遺體說：「塔彼達，起來！」她便睜開眼，看見了伯多祿，就坐了起來。
41 And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.
伯多祿伸手扶她起來；隨後，叫聖徒和寡婦們進來，叫他們看她已活了。
42 And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.
這事傳遍了全約培，就有許多人信了主。
43 And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner.
以後，伯多祿在約培一個皮匠西滿家裏，住了一些日子。
