Acts 1
1 The former treatise (logos) have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
ਹੇ ਥਿਯਫਿਲ, ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਸ੍ਵਮਨੋਨੀਤਾਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤਾਨ੍ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰੇਣਾਤ੍ਮਨਾ ਸਮਾਦਿਸ਼੍ਯ ਯਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਦਿਨੇ ਸ੍ਵਰ੍ਗਮਾਰੋਹਤ੍ ਯਾਂ ਯਾਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਯਾਮਕਰੋਤ੍ ਯਦ੍ਯਦ੍ ਉਪਾਦਿਸ਼ੱਚ ਤਾਨਿ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾਣਿ ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਮਯਾ ਲਿਖਿਤਾਨਿ|
2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Spirit (pneuma) had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
ਸ ਸ੍ਵਨਿਧਨਦੁਃਖਭੋਗਾਤ੍ ਪਰਮ੍ ਅਨੇਕਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਯਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੌਃ ਸ੍ਵੰ ਸਜੀਵੰ ਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਯਿਤ੍ਵਾ
3 To whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
ਚਤ੍ਵਾਰਿੰਸ਼ੱਦਿਨਾਨਿ ਯਾਵਤ੍ ਤੇਭ੍ਯਃ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤੇਭ੍ਯੋ ਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਨੰ ਦੱਤ੍ਵੇਸ਼੍ਵਰੀਯਰਾਜ੍ਯਸ੍ਯ ਵਰ੍ਣਨਮ ਅਕਰੋਤ੍|
4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, says he, all of you have heard of me.
ਅਨਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਸਭਾਂ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਾ ਇਤ੍ਯਾਜ੍ਞਾਪਯਤ੍, ਯੂਯੰ ਯਿਰੂਸ਼ਾਲਮੋ(ਅ)ਨ੍ਯਤ੍ਰ ਗਮਨਮਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਾ ਯਸ੍ਤਿਨ੍ ਪਿਤ੍ਰਾਙ੍ਗੀਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇ ਮਮ ਵਦਨਾਤ੍ ਕਥਾ ਅਸ਼੍ਰੁʼਣੁਤ ਤਤ੍ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਤਿਮ੍ ਅਪੇਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤ|
5 For John truly baptized with water; but all of you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit (pneuma) not many days behind.
ਯੋਹਨ੍ ਜਲੇ ਮੱਜਿਤਾਵਾਨ੍ ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵਲ੍ਪਦਿਨਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਯੂਯੰ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਆਤ੍ਮਨਿ ਮੱਜਿਤਾ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਥ|
6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, will you at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤ੍ ਤੇ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇ ਮਿਲਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਤਮ੍ ਅਪ੍ਰੁʼੱਛਨ੍ ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਭਵਾਨ੍ ਕਿਮਿਦਾਨੀਂ ਪੁਨਰਪਿ ਰਾਜ੍ਯਮ੍ ਇਸ੍ਰਾਯੇਲੀਯਲੋਕਾਨਾਂ ਕਰੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਸਮਰ੍ਪਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ?
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has put in his own power.
ਤਤਃ ਸੋਵਦਤ੍ ਯਾਨ੍ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾਨ੍ ਕਾਲਾਨ੍ ਸਮਯਾਂਸ਼੍ਚ ਪਿਤਾ ਸ੍ਵਵਸ਼ੇ(ਅ)ਸ੍ਥਾਪਯਤ੍ ਤਾਨ੍ ਜ੍ਞਾਤ੍ਰੁਂʼ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੋ ਨ ਜਾਯਤੇ|
8 But all of you shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit (pneuma) has come upon you: and all of you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਸੁ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਸ੍ਯਾਤ੍ਮਨ ਆਵਿਰ੍ਭਾਵੇ ਸਤਿ ਯੂਯੰ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਤਿੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯ ਯਿਰੂਸ਼ਾਲਮਿ ਸਮਸ੍ਤਯਿਹੂਦਾਸ਼ੋਮਿਰੋਣਦੇਸ਼ਯੋਃ ਪ੍ਰੁʼਥਿਵ੍ਯਾਃ ਸੀਮਾਂ ਯਾਵਦ੍ ਯਾਵਨ੍ਤੋ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਸ੍ਤੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਯਰ੍ੱਵੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਚ ਮਯਿ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯੰ ਦਾਸ੍ਯਥ|
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
ਇਤਿ ਵਾਕ੍ਯਮੁਕ੍ਤ੍ਵਾ ਸ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਸਮਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੰ ਸ੍ਵਰ੍ਗੰ ਨੀਤੋ(ਅ)ਭਵਤ੍, ਤਤੋ ਮੇਘਮਾਰੁਹ੍ਯ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟੇਰਗੋਚਰੋ(ਅ)ਭਵਤ੍|
10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
ਯਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਸਮਯੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਹਾਯਸੰ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਨਨ੍ਯਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟ੍ਯਾ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਤਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼ਮ੍ ਊਰ੍ਦ੍ੱਵਗਮਨਮ੍ ਅਪਸ਼੍ਯਨ੍ ਤਸ੍ਮਿੰਨੇਵ ਸਮਯੇ ਸ਼ੁਕ੍ਲਵਸ੍ਤ੍ਰੌ ਦ੍ਵੌ ਜਨੌ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਸੰਨਿਧੌ ਦਣ੍ਡਾਯਮਾਨੌ ਕਥਿਤਵਨ੍ਤੌ,
11 Which also said, All of you men of Galilee, why stand all of you gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as all of you have seen him go into heaven.
ਹੇ ਗਾਲੀਲੀਯਲੋਕਾ ਯੂਯੰ ਕਿਮਰ੍ਥੰ ਗਗਣੰ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਨਿਰੀਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯ ਦਣ੍ਡਾਯਮਾਨਾਸ੍ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਥ? ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਸਮੀਪਾਤ੍ ਸ੍ਵਰ੍ਗੰ ਨੀਤੋ ਯੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਸ੍ਤੰ ਯੂਯੰ ਯਥਾ ਸ੍ਵਰ੍ਗਮ੍ ਆਰੋਹਨ੍ਤਮ੍ ਅਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਮ੍ ਤਥਾ ਸ ਪੁਨਸ਼੍ਚਾਗਮਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.
ਤਤਃ ਪਰੰ ਤੇ ਜੈਤੁਨਨਾਮ੍ਨਃ ਪਰ੍ੱਵਤਾਦ੍ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਰਾਮਵਾਰਸ੍ਯ ਪਥਃ ਪਰਿਮਾਣਮ੍ ਅਰ੍ਥਾਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰਾਯੇਣਾਰ੍ੱਧਕ੍ਰੋਸ਼ੰ ਦੁਰਸ੍ਥੰ ਯਿਰੂਸ਼ਾਲਮ੍ਨਗਰੰ ਪਰਾਵ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਯਾਗੱਛਨ੍|
13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.
ਨਗਰੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਿਸ਼੍ਯ ਪਿਤਰੋ ਯਾਕੂਬ੍ ਯੋਹਨ੍ ਆਨ੍ਦ੍ਰਿਯਃ ਫਿਲਿਪਃ ਥੋਮਾ ਬਰ੍ਥਜਮਯੋ ਮਥਿਰਾਲ੍ਫੀਯਪੁਤ੍ਰੋ ਯਾਕੂਬ੍ ਉਦ੍ਯੋਗਾ ਸ਼ਿਮੋਨ੍ ਯਾਕੂਬੋ ਭ੍ਰਾਤਾ ਯਿਹੂਦਾ ਏਤੇ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇ ਯਤ੍ਰ ਸ੍ਥਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਵਸਨ੍ਤਿ ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਉਪਰਿਤਨਪ੍ਰਕੋਸ਼਼੍ਠੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਵਿਸ਼ਨ੍|
14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦ੍ ਇਮੇ ਕਿਯਤ੍ਯਃ ਸ੍ਤ੍ਰਿਯਸ਼੍ਚ ਯੀਸ਼ੋ ਰ੍ਮਾਤਾ ਮਰਿਯਮ੍ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਭ੍ਰਾਤਰਸ਼੍ਚੈਤੇ ਸਰ੍ੱਵ ਏਕਚਿੱਤੀਭੂਤ ਸਤਤੰ ਵਿਨਯੇਨ ਵਿਨਯੇਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਰ੍ਥਯਨ੍ਤ|
15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty, )
ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਸਮਯੇ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਸ੍ਥਾਨੇ ਸਾਕਲ੍ਯੇਨ ਵਿੰਸ਼ਤ੍ਯਧਿਕਸ਼ਤੰ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾ ਆਸਨ੍| ਤਤਃ ਪਿਤਰਸ੍ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਨ੍ ਉਕ੍ਤਵਾਨ੍
16 Men and brethren, this scripture must essentially have been fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit (pneuma) by the mouth of David spoke before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
ਹੇ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ੍ਰੁʼਗਣ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਧਾਰਿਣਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਨਾਂ ਪਥਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਕੋ ਯੋ ਯਿਹੂਦਾਸ੍ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਦਾਯੂਦਾ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਆਤ੍ਮਾ ਯਾਂ ਕਥਾਂ ਕਥਯਾਮਾਸ ਤਸ੍ਯਾਃ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੀਭਵਨਸ੍ਯਾਵਸ਼੍ਯਕਤ੍ਵਮ੍ ਆਸੀਤ੍|
17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.
ਸ ਜਨੋ(ਅ)ਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਮਧ੍ਯਵਰ੍ੱਤੀ ਸਨ੍ ਅਸ੍ਯਾਃ ਸੇਵਾਯਾ ਅੰਸ਼ਮ੍ ਅਲਭਤ|
18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.
ਤਦਨਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਕੁਕਰ੍ੰਮਣਾ ਲਬ੍ਧੰ ਯਨ੍ਮੂਲ੍ਯੰ ਤੇਨ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰਮੇਕੰ ਕ੍ਰੀਤਮ੍ ਅਪਰੰ ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਅਧੋਮੁਖੇ ਭ੍ਰੁʼਮੌ ਪਤਿਤੇ ਸਤਿ ਤਸ੍ਯੋਦਰਸ੍ਯ ਵਿਦੀਰ੍ਣਤ੍ਵਾਤ੍ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾ ਨਾਡ੍ਯੋ ਨਿਰਗੱਛਨ੍|
19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.
ਏਤਾਂ ਕਥਾਂ ਯਿਰੂਸ਼ਾਲਮ੍ਨਿਵਾਸਿਨਃ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇ ਲੋਕਾ ਵਿਦਾਨ੍ਤਿ; ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਨਿਜਭਾਸ਼਼ਯਾ ਤਤ੍ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰਞ੍ਚ ਹਕਲ੍ਦਾਮਾ, ਅਰ੍ਥਾਤ੍ ਰਕ੍ਤਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰਮਿਤਿ ਵਿਖ੍ਯਾਤਮਾਸ੍ਤੇ|
20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.
ਅਨ੍ਯੱਚ, ਨਿਕੇਤਨੰ ਤਦੀਯਨ੍ਤੁ ਸ਼ੁਨ੍ਯਮੇਵ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ| ਤਸ੍ਯ ਦੂਸ਼਼੍ਯੇ ਨਿਵਾਸਾਰ੍ਥੰ ਕੋਪਿ ਸ੍ਥਾਸ੍ਯਤਿ ਨੈਵ ਹਿ| ਅਨ੍ਯ ਏਵ ਜਨਸ੍ਤਸ੍ਯ ਪਦੰ ਸੰਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਸ੍ਯਤਿ ਧ੍ਰੁਵੰ| ਇੱਥੰ ਗੀਤਪੁਸ੍ਤਕੇ ਲਿਖਿਤਮਾਸ੍ਤੇ|
21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
ਅਤੋ ਯੋਹਨੋ ਮੱਜਨਮ੍ ਆਰਭ੍ਯਾਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਸਮੀਪਾਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਰ੍ਯੀਸ਼ੋਃ ਸ੍ਵਰ੍ਗਾਰੋਹਣਦਿਨੰ ਯਾਵਤ੍ ਸੋਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਯਾਵਨ੍ਤਿ ਦਿਨਾਨਿ ਯਾਪਿਤਵਾਨ੍
22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
ਤਾਵਨ੍ਤਿ ਦਿਨਾਨਿ ਯੇ ਮਾਨਵਾ ਅਸ੍ਮਾਭਿਃ ਸਾਰ੍ੱਧੰ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਨ੍ਤਿ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਮ੍ ਏਕੇਨ ਜਨੇਨਾਸ੍ਮਾਭਿਃ ਸਾਰ੍ੱਧੰ ਯੀਸ਼ੋਰੁੱਥਾਨੇ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਣਾ ਭਵਿਤਵ੍ਯੰ|
23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
ਅਤੋ ਯਸ੍ਯ ਰੂਢਿ ਰ੍ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਟੋ ਯੰ ਬਰ੍ਸ਼ੱਬੇਤ੍ਯੁਕ੍ਤ੍ਵਾਹੂਯਨ੍ਤਿ ਸ ਯੂਸ਼਼ਫ੍ ਮਤਥਿਸ਼੍ਚ ਦ੍ਵਾਵੇਤੌ ਪ੍ਰੁʼਥਕ੍ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਾ ਤ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਸੰਨਿਧੌ ਪ੍ਰਾਰ੍ੱਯ ਕਥਿਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ,
24 And they prayed, and said, You, Lord, which know the hearts of all men, show whether of these two you have chosen,
ਹੇ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾਨ੍ਤਰ੍ੱਯਾਮਿਨ੍ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼੍ਵਰ, ਯਿਹੂਦਾਃ ਸੇਵਨਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤਤ੍ਵਪਦਚ੍ਯੁਤਃ
25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
ਸਨ੍ ਨਿਜਸ੍ਥਾਨਮ੍ ਅਗੱਛਤ੍, ਤਤ੍ਪਦੰ ਲਬ੍ਧੁਮ੍ ਏਨਯੋ ਰ੍ਜਨਯੋ ਰ੍ਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਭਵਤਾ ਕੋ(ਅ)ਭਿਰੁਚਿਤਸ੍ਤਦਸ੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਦਰ੍ਸ਼੍ਯਤਾਂ|
26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
ਤਤੋ ਗੁਟਿਕਾਪਾਟੇ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇ ਮਤਥਿਰ੍ਨਿਰਚੀਯਤ ਤਸ੍ਮਾਤ੍ ਸੋਨ੍ਯੇਸ਼਼ਾਮ੍ ਏਕਾਦਸ਼ਾਨਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਰਿਤਾਨਾਂ ਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਗਣਿਤੋਭਵਤ੍|
