< 2 Peter 1 >
1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
Jesu Khrih a tyihzawih ingkaw ceityih pynoet na ak awm, Simon Piter ing, Ningmih a Khawsa Hulkung Jesu Khrih a dyngnaak ak caming kaimih amyihna a phu ak tlo cangnaak ak hukhqi venawh:
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
Khawsa ingkaw ningnih a Bawipa Jesu a cyihnaak ak caming qeennaak ingkaw ngaihdingnaak nangmih a venawh khawzah awm seh.
3 According as his divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory and virtue:
Amah Khawsa saithainaak ing amah a boeimangnaak leeknaak ing ningnih anik khykung ni simnaak cyihnaak ak caming ik-oeih ni ngoe soepkep ce ni pek khqi hawh hy.
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these all of you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Vawhkaw ik-oeihkhqi ak caming ak bau soeih ingkaw a phu ak tlo awikamnaakkhqi ce nangmih a venawh ni pek khqi hawh hy, cawhtaw cekkhqi ak caming Khawsa ik-oeih ngaihnaak ing ang coeng sak ve khawmdek ik-oeih amak leek awhkawng loet thai hawh kawm uk ti.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
Vawh, cangnaak leek nami tawm thainaak aham namik tha lo law lah uh; ik-oeih leeknaak aham, cyihnaak;
6 And to knowledge wilful restrain; and to wilful restrain patience; and to patience godliness;
cyihnaak ham, noeng qu thainaak; noeng qu thainaak aham, yh ngah ngahnaak; yh ngah ngah thainaak aham, Khawsa ngaih na awmnaak;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love. (agape)
khawsa ngaih na awm thainaak aham, lungnaak ce ta lah uh.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that all of you shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Ve sai thainaakkhqi ve nami taak khqoet khqoet awhtaw, a hawihkhang kaana ningnih a Bawipa Jesu Khrih simnaak benawh kawna ang coeng kaana am awm kawm uk ti.
9 But he that lacks these things is blind, and cannot see far off, and has forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
Cehlai u ingawm ce mihkhqi ce ama taak awhtaw, anih taw a huhnaak tawi nawh mik ak hyp thlang na awm hy, ak kqym awhkaw a thawlhnaakkhqi silh peekna ak awm ce ak hilh ak thlang na awm hy.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if all of you do these things, all of you shall never fall:
Cedawngawh, koeinaakhqi, nangmih khy na nami awmnaak ingkaw tyk na nami awmnaak ce caih sak khqoet boeih lah uh. Ikawtih vemyihkhqi ve nami sai awhtaw, am tlu qoe qoe kawm uk ti,
11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (aiōnios )
ningnih a Bawipa ingkaw Hulkung Jesu Khrih a kumqui qam khuina nangmih ce ni do khqi kaw. (aiōnios )
12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though all of you know them, and be established in the present truth.
Cedawngawh ve a ik-oeihkhqi ve sim unawh, tuh nami taak awitak awh ak cak na dyi hawh u tik seiawm kqawn law loet hyn kawng nyng.
13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
Ve ka pum qeh im awh ka awm khui awhtaw nangmih ka ni caih sak khqi tlaih tlaih ve thym hy tinawh poek nyng.
14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ has showed me.
Ningmih a Bawipa Jesu Khrih ing ak caih na ka venawh ak kqawn law hawh amyihna, ve im ve ta hyt hawh kawng nyng tice sim nyng.
15 Moreover I will endeavour that all of you may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.
Kai ka ceh coengawh vawhkaw ik-oeihkhqi ve namik poeknaak loet aham kak tha lo poepa kawng nyng.
16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
Ningmih a Bawipa Jesu Khrih a law tlaihnaak ingkaw ak thaawmnaak akawng nangmih a venawh kak kqawn law awh syn awi ami phawh mailai ce am hquut unyng, mik qoe qoe ing amah a boeimangnaak ak hukung simpyikung na ni kami awm hy.
17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Ikawtih Boeimang Thang leeknaak awi, “Vetaw ka lungnaak, ka Capa ni; ak khanawh zeel soeih soeih nyng,” tinaak awi boeimang zoeksangnaak ce Pa Khawsa ven awhkawng hu hy.
18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
Kaimih ingawm khan benna kawng ak law ce ak awi ce amah ingqawi tlang ciim awh kami awm awh za lawt unyng.
19 We have also a more sure word (logos) of prophecy; unto which all of you do well that all of you take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Ce ak awi ak caih sak khqoet tawnghakhqi ak awi awm ni ta bai hy, ce ak awi ce nangmih ing ak leek na naming ngai aham awm hy, thannaak ak khuiawh maihvang amyihna, khaw dai nawh namik kawlung khuiawh aihchi a thoeng hlan dy ce ak awi ce ngai lah uh.
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
Cekkhqi boeih coengawh, Cakciim awhkaw kqawn oepchoeh na ak awmkhqi ve tawngha ak poeknaak mailai awhkawng am law hy tice nami sim aham awm hy.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. (pneuma)
Kqawn oepchoeh awikhqi ve thlanghqing ak kawngaih awhkawng ap kqawn qu nawh, Ciim Myihla a sawinaak amyihna ni thlang ing Khawsa venawh kaw awi ce ak kqawn hy.
