< 1 Thessalonians 2 >

1 For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain:
Nokuti munoziva imwi, hama, kupinda kwedu kwamuri, kuti hakuna kuva pasina;
2 But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully pleaded, as all of you know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.
asi kunyange takambotambudzika nekuitirwa zvakaipa, sezvamunoziva, paFiripi, takatsunga muna Mwari wedu kutaura kwamuri evhangeri yaMwari pakati pekupikiswa kukuru.
3 For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:
Nokuti kurudziro yedu haina kubva pakunyengera, uye haina kubva patsvina, hainawo kubva pamano-mano;
4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which tries our hearts.
asi sezvatakatendiwa naMwari, kuti tibatiswe evhangeri, saizvozvo tinotaura; kwete sekufadza vanhu, asi Mwari anoidza moyo yedu.
5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, (logos) as all of you know, nor a coat of covetousness; God is witness:
Nokuti hatina kutongouya nemashoko ekubata kumeso, sezvamunoziva, kana nemano-mano eruchiva; Mwari chapupu;
6 Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.
tisingatsvaki rukudzo kuvanhu, kana rwunobva kwamuri kana kuvamwe, kunyange taigona kukuremedzai sevaapositori vaKristu.
7 But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherishes her children:
Asi takange tiri vanyoro pakati penyu, semureri achivaraidza vana vake;
8 So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because all of you were dear unto us.
sezvatinokushuvai kwazvo, takada zvikuru kukupai kwete evhangeri yaMwari chete, asi mweya yedu pacheduwo, nokuti makange muri vadikanwi kwatiri.
9 For all of you remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
Nokuti munorangarira, hama, kushingaira nekurwisa kwedu; nokuti taibata siku nesikati, kuti tisava mutoro kune umwe wenyu, takakuparidzirai evhangeri yaMwari.
10 All of you are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:
Imwi muri zvapupu, naMwari, kuti taiva vatsvene sei uye takarurama tisina chatingapomerwa kwamuri vanotenda.
11 As all of you know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father does his children,
Sezvamunoziva kuti umwe neumwe wenyu, sababa kuvana vavo takakukurudzirai sei nekunyaradza nekupupura,
12 That all of you would walk worthy of God, who has called you unto his kingdom and glory.
kuti mufambe zvakafanira Mwari, anokudanirai kuushe hwake nekubwinya.
13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when all of you received the word (logos) of God which all of you heard of us, all of you received it not as the word (logos) of men, but as it is in truth, the word (logos) of God, which effectually works also in you that believe.
Nekuda kwaizvozvi nesu hatimiri kuvonga Mwari, kuti pamakagamuchira shoko raMwari ramakanzwa kwatiri, makarigamuchira kwete seshoko revanhu, asi seriri chokwadi, shoko raMwari rinoshandawo mamuri imwi munotenda.
14 For all of you, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for all of you also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:
Nokuti imwi, hama, makava vateveri vemakereke aMwari ari muJudhiya muna Kristu Jesu; nokuti imwiwo makatambudzika zvakadaro kune vekwenyu momene, sezvavakatambudzwa ivowo neVaJudha,
15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:
ndivowo vakauraya Ishe Jesu nevaporofita vavo vomene, vakatishushawo isu, vasingafadziwo Mwari, uye vachipesana nevanhu vese,
16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins always: for the wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.
vachitidzivisa kutaurira vahedheni kuti vaponeswe, kuti vagare vachizadzisa zvivi zvavo; asi hasha dzakasvika pamusoro pavo kusvikira pakuguma.
17 But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire.
Zvino isu, hama, sezvo takaparadzaniswa nemwi kwechinguvana pazviso, kwete pamoyo, takashingairira zvikuru nechishuwo chikuru kuti tione chiso chenyu.
18 Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.
Naizvozvo taida kuuya kwamuri, zvikuru ini Pauro, kamwe nekudzokorora, asi Satani wakatidzivisa.
19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even all of you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
Nokuti tariro yedu chii, kana mufaro, kana korona yekuzvirumbidza? Hamusi imwizve here pamberi paIshe wedu Jesu Kristu pakuuya kwake?
20 For all of you are our glory and joy.
Nokuti imwi muri kubwinya nemufaro wedu.
