1 Peter 5
1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
Aos anciãos, que estão entre vós, admoesto eu, que sou juntamente como elles ancião, e testemunha das afflicções de Christo, e participante da gloria que se ha de revelar.
2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy illegal gain, but of a ready mind;
Apascentae o rebanho de Deus, que está entre vós, tendo cuidado d'elle, não por força, mas voluntariamente: nem por torpe ganancia, mas de um animo prompto,
3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
Nem como tendo dominio sobre a herança de Deus, mas servindo de exemplo ao rebanho.
4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, all of you shall receive a crown of glory that fades not away.
E, quando apparecer o Summo Pastor, alcançareis a incorruptivel corôa de gloria.
5 Likewise, all of you younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble.
Similhantemente vós, mancebos, sêde sujeitos aos anciãos; e sêde todos sujeitos uns aos outros, e vesti-vos de humildade, porque Deus resiste aos soberbos, mas dá graça aos humildes.
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Humilhae-vos pois debaixo da potente mão de Deus, para que a seu tempo vos exalte:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you.
Lançando sobre elle toda a vossa solicitude, porque elle tem cuidado de vós.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour:
Sêde sobrios; vigiae; porque o diabo, vosso adversario, anda em derredor, bramando como leão, buscando a quem possa tragar.
9 Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
Ao qual resisti firmes na fé: sabendo que as mesmas afflicções se cumprem entre os vossos irmãos no mundo.
10 But the God of all grace, who has called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that all of you have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you. (aiōnios g166)
Ora o Deus de toda a graça, que em Christo Jesus nos chamou á sua eterna gloria, depois de haverdes padecido um pouco, o mesmo vos aperfeiçoe, confirme, fortifique e estabeleça. (aiōnios g166)
A elle seja a gloria e o poderio para todo o sempre. Amen. (aiōn g165)
12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein all of you stand.
Por Silvano, vosso fiel irmão, como cuido, escrevi abreviadamente, exhortando e testificando que esta é a verdadeira graça de Deus, na qual estaes.
13 The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, salutes you; and so does Marcus my son.
Sauda-vos a egreja co-eleita, que está em Babylonia, e meu filho Marcos.
14 Greet all of you one another with a kiss of love. (agape) Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.
