Psalms 48
1 Great is Yhwh, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.
Пісня. Псалом синів Коре́євих. Великий Госпо́дь і просла́влений ве́льми в місті нашого Бога, на святій Своїй горі!
2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
Препи́шна країна, розра́да всієї землі, — то Сіонська гора, на півні́чних око́лицях, місто Царя можновла́дного!
3 God is known in her palaces for a refuge.
Бог у хра́мах Своїх, за твердиню Він зна́ний.
4 For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.
Бо царі ось зібрались, ішли вони ра́зом,
5 They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away.
але, як побачили, то здивува́лись, полякалися та й розпоро́шились.
6 Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.
Обгорнув їх там страх, немов біль породі́ллю;
7 Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.
Ти східнім вітром розбив кораблі ті Тарші́ські.
8 As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of Yhwh of Armies, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. (Selah)
Як ми чули, так бачили в місті Господа Савао́та, у місті нашого Бога, — Бог міцно поставить навіки його́! (Се́ла)
9 We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.
Розмишля́ли ми, Боже, про ми́лість Твою серед храму Твого́.
10 According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.
Як Ім'я́ Твоє, Боже, так слава Твоя — аж по кі́нці землі, справедли́вости повна прави́ця Твоя!
11 Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.
Нехай весели́ться Сіонська гора, Юдині до́чки хай тішаться через Твої правосу́ддя.
12 Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.
Оточі́те Сіо́н й обступі́те його́, полічіть його ба́шти,
13 Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.
зверні́те увагу на ва́ла його, високість палати його пообмірюйте, щоб розповісти́ поколі́нню насту́пному,
14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
бо Цей Бог — то наш Бог на вічні віки́, Він буде прова́дити нас аж до смерти!
