Psalms 130

1 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Yhwh.

Ein Wallfahrtslied. Aus der Tiefe rufe ich, HERR, zu dir:

2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

»Allherr, höre auf meine Stimme,

3 If thou, Yah, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

Wenn du, HERR, Sünden behalten willst, o Allherr, wer kann bestehn!

4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

Doch bei dir ist die Vergebung, auf daß man dich fürchte.

5 I wait for Yhwh, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

Ich harre des HERRN, meine Seele harrt, und ich warte auf sein Wort;

6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

meine Seele harrt auf den Allherrn sehnsuchtsvoller als Wächter auf den Morgen.

7 Let Israel hope in Yhwh: for with Yhwh there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

Sehnsuchtsvoller als Wächter auf den Morgen harre, Israel, auf den HERRN! Denn beim HERRN ist die Gnade und Erlösung bei ihm in Fülle,

8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

und er wird Israel erlösen von allen seinen Sünden.
