Psalms 124

1 If it had not been Yhwh who was on our side, now may Israel say;

Wer ma ji wero kadhi e hekalu. Mar Daudi. Ka dine bed ni Jehova Nyasaye ok jakorwa, jo-Israel mondo owach kamano,

2 If it had not been Yhwh who was on our side, when men rose up against us:

ka dine bed ni Jehova Nyasaye ok jakorwa kane ji omonjowa,

3 Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:

e kinde mane mirima mabebni ka mach omakogi kodwa, to dine gimwonyowa ngili;

4 Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

ataro dine odinonwa, ee, kodh yamo dine oywerowa,

5 Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

kendo pi maringo matek dine odhi kodwa.

6 Blessed be Yhwh, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

Pak mondo odogne Jehova Nyasaye, ma ok oseyie mondo gikidhwa gi lekegi.

7 Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

Wasetony mana ka winyo mowuok e wino mar jachik winy; wino osechodi, to wan wasetony.

8 Our help is in the name of Yhwh, who made heaven and earth.
