< Psalms 114 >
1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
When went out Israel from Egypt [the] house of Jacob from a people speaking a foreign language.
2 Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.
It became Judah sanctuary his Israel dominion his.
3 The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
The sea it saw and it fled the Jordan it turned around to backwards.
4 The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
The mountains they skipped about like rams hills like young ones of sheep.
5 What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?
What? [is] to you O sea that you will flee O Jordan you will turn around to backwards.
6 Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?
O mountains you will skip about like rams O hills like young ones of sheep.
7 Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
From to before [the] lord tremble O earth from to before [the] God of Jacob.
8 Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
Who turned the rock a pool of water flint into spring of his water.
