< Proverbs 3 >
1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
Ka capa, kaie kâlawk hah pahnim hanh. Kaie kâpoelawknaw hah na lung dawk pâkuemh.
2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, hote ni na hringsawnae hoi roumnae na thap sin han.
3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
Lungmanae hoi lawkkatang ni na cettakhai hanh naseh. Na lahuen dawk awi nateh, na lungthin dawkvah thut haw.
4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
Na takthai hanelah damnae lah ao vaiteh, na hru hanelah thasainae lah ao han.
9 Honour Yhwh with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
Na tawnta e naw hoi aluepawnaw hoi BAWIPA hah bari haw.
10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
Hahoi na capai dawk a kawi vaiteh, misur katinnae tangkom dawk misur katha hoi a kawi han.
11 My son, despise not the chastening of Yhwh; neither be weary of his correction:
Ka capa, BAWIPA yuenae hah dudam hanh. Na phep e hai hmuhma hanh.
12 For whom Yhwh loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, na pa ni a lungpataw e capa teh ouk a yue e patetlah, BAWIPA ni a lungpataw e naw hah ouk a yue.
13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

19 Yhwh by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

22 So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
