Proverbs 14
1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾಳೆ; ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನಳೋ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತುಹಾಕುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
2 He that walketh in his uprightness feareth Yhwh: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.
ತನ್ನ ಯಥಾರ್ಥತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವವನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದರೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುವವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಸ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.
3 In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನ ಬಾಯಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗರ್ವದ ಅಂಕುರವಿದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತರ ತುಟಿಗಳು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವುವು.
4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.
ಎತ್ತುಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋದಲಿಯು ಶುಚಿಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಎತ್ತಿನ ಬಲದಿಂದಲೇ ಬೆಳೆಯು ಹೇರಳವಾಗಿ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.
ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡನು, ಆದರೆ ಸುಳ್ಳುಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಅಸತ್ಯವನ್ನೇ ಆಡುವನು.
6 A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.
ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವವನು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದರೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ವಿವೇಚಿಸುವವನಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿದೆ.
7 Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.
ನೀನು ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನ ತುಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕಾಣದೆ ಹೋದರೆ, ಅವನ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗು.
8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.
ಜಾಣನ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ತನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಮೂಢರ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನತೆಯು ಮೋಸಕರ.
9 Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.
ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರು ಪಾಪಪರಿಹಾರವನ್ನು ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವರು, ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿವಂತರಿಗೆ ದಯೆಯಿದೆ.
10 The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.
ಹೃದಯಕ್ಕೆ ತನ್ನ ವ್ಯಥೆಯು ಗೊತ್ತು; ಪರನು ಅದರ ಸಂತೋಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
11 The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.
ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮನೆಯು ನಾಶವಾಗುವುದು, ಆದರೆ ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರ ಗುಡಾರವು ಏಳಿಗೆಯಾಗುವುದು.
12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
ಮನುಷ್ಯ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸರಿ ತೋರುವ ಒಂದು ಮಾರ್ಗವಿದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಅದರ ಅಂತ್ಯವು ಮರಣದ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳೇ.
13 Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.
ನಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೃದಯವು ದುಃಖದಿಂದ ಇರುವುದು, ಅದರ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸದ ಅಂತ್ಯವು ಸಂತಾಪವೇ.
14 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.
ಭ್ರಷ್ಟನು ತನ್ನ ದುಷ್ಕರ್ಮಗಳಿಂದ ದಣಿಯನು, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನು ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನೇ ತೃಪ್ತಿಹೊಂದುವನು.
15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
ಅರಿವಿಲ್ಲದವರು ಯಾವ ಮಾತನ್ನಾದರೂ ನಂಬುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಜಾಣನು ತನ್ನ ನಡತೆಯನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಗಮನಿಸುವನು.
16 A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.
ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದಿಂದ ದೂರ ಹೋಗುವನು, ಆದರೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನು ಯೋಚಿಸದೆ ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸದಿಂದ ನಡೆಯುವನು.
17 He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.
ಮುಂಗೋಪಿಯು ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನಾಗಿ ವರ್ತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಜನರು ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವನನ್ನು ಹಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
18 The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
ಅರಿವಿಲ್ಲದವರು ಮೂರ್ಖತನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯರಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಆದರೆ ಜಾಣರು ಪರಿಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ಆವರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
19 The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
ದುಷ್ಟರು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಬಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ, ದುಷ್ಟರು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ದ್ವಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡ್ಡ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
20 The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.
ಬಡವನು ಅವನ ನೆರೆಯವನಿಂದಲೇ ಕಡೆಗಣಿಸಲಾಗುವನು; ಆದರೆ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನಿಗೆ ಬಹುಜನ ಮಿತ್ರರು.
21 He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.
ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನ ಮಾಡುವವನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಬಡವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕನಿಕರ ತೋರಿಸುವವನು ಧನ್ಯನು.
22 Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.
ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವವರು ದಾರಿ ತಪ್ಪುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೇ? ಆದರೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಸತ್ಯತೆಯು ಇರುವುವು.
23 In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.
ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಯಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾಭವಿದೆ, ಹರಟೆ ಮಾತು ಬಡತನಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ದಾರಿ.
24 The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.
ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತರ ಕಿರೀಟವೇ ಅವರ ಸಂಪತ್ತು, ಆದರೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನತೆಯು ಅವರ ಮೂರ್ಖತನವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ.
25 A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.
ಸತ್ಯಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಸುಳ್ಳುಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಮೋಸಗಾರನು.
26 In the fear of Yhwh is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವವನು ಭದ್ರಕೋಟೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆತನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯವು ಇರುವುದು.
27 The fear of Yhwh is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಭಯವು ಜೀವದ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದು ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಮರಣದ ಪಾಶಗಳಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
28 In the multitude of people is the king’s honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.
ಜನಸಮೂಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನ ಘನತೆ ಇದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಜನರ ಕೊರತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜಪುತ್ರನ ನಾಶ.
29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯುಳ್ಳವನು ಬಹು ವಿವೇಕಿ, ಮುಂಗೋಪಿಯು ಮೂರ್ಖತನವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಹಿಡಿಯುವನು.
30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
ಶಾಂತ ಹೃದಯವು ದೇಹಕ್ಕೆ ಜೀವ; ಆದರೆ ಮತ್ಸರವು ಎಲುಬುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕ್ಷಯ.
31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.
ಬಡವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಸಿಸುವವನು, ತನ್ನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹೀನೈಸುವನು, ಆದರೆ ಬಡವರನ್ನು ಕನಿಕರಿಸುವವನು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸುವನು.
32 The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
ದುಷ್ಟನು ತನ್ನ ಆಪತ್ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಳಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿವಂತನಿಗೆ ಮರಣದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಇದೆ.
33 Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.
ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಮೂರ್ಖರಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಕಂಡುಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
ನೀತಿಯು ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನು ವೃದ್ಧಿಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಯಾವ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಾದರೂ ಪಾಪವು ಅವಮಾನವಾಗಿದೆ.
35 The king’s favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.
ಜ್ಞಾನವುಳ್ಳ ಸೇವಕನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಅರಸನ ದಯೆ ಇದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಮಾನಗೇಡಿ ಸೇವಕನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನ ಕೋಪ ಎರಗುತ್ತದೆ.
