< Matthew 15 >

1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
Matam aduda Jerusalemda-gi Pharisee amasung Wayel Yathanggi oja khara laktuna Jisuda hanglak-i,
2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
“Karigi eikhoigi ipa-ipudagi chatnaraklaba chatnabi asi nahakki tung-inbasingna thugairibano? Makhoina chadringeigi mamangda makhut hamdokte!”
3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
Maduda Jisuna makhoida khumlak-i, “Aduga karigi nakhoigi chatnabi adugidamak Tengban Mapugi wayel-yathangbu thugairiba?
4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
Maramdi Tengban Mapuna hai, ‘Nakhoina nama napabu ikai khumnou’ aduga ‘Mama mapabu thina ngangba mahak adu sibagi cheirak phangsanu.’
5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
Adubu nakhoina tambi madudi kanagumba amana mahakki mama nattraga mapada, ‘Eina nakhoida pigadabasing adu Tengban Mapugi maphamda katthokkhre’ hairabadi,
6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
mahakna mama mapada ikai khumnadrabasu karisu kaidre. Asumna nakhoina nakhoigi chatnabi adu ngaknabagidamak Tengban Mapugi yathangbu karisu nattaba oihalle.
7 Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
He aphasasinnabasa! Maichou Isaiah-na nakhoigi maramda phongdoklamba adu kayada chumkhraba!
8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
‘Mising asina eibu chinbanthongda ikai khumnei, adubu makhoigi thamoidi eingondagi thapna lei.
9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Makhoina mioibagi chatnabising adubu eigi yathangsinggumna tambiduna, Makhoina eibu arembada khurummi.’”
10 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
Adudagi Jisuna miyam adubu manakta kouraduna makhoida hairak-i, “Tao amasung masi khang-u!
11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
Chinda changkhiba aduna mi amabu maang-hanba natte, adubu chindagi thoklakpa aduna mibu maanghalli.”
12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
Adudagi Ibungogi tung-inbasing aduna Ibungogi nakta laklaga hairak-i, “Ibungona haikhiba wa aduna Pharisee-sing adu thamoi sokle haiba Ibungo khangbibra?”
13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
Maduda Ibungona khumlak-i, “Eigi swargagi Ipana thakhidaba pambi khudingmakpu maru phuktatkani.
14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
Aduga makhoigidamak karisu khallunu, makhoidi mittangbasingbu chingliba mittangba lamjingbasingni; aduga mittangbana mittangbabu lamjinglabadi makhoi animak komda tagani.”
15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
Maduda Peter-na Ibungoda hairak-i, “Pandam asi eikhoida sandokna takpiyu.”
16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
Jisuna makhoida hairak-i, “Nakhoisu houjik phaoba khangdribra?
17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
Nakhoina chakhiba khudingmak adu chakkhaoda changkhraba matungda hakchangdagi amuk thokkhi haiba nakhoina khangdabra.
18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
Adubu nakhoigi chindagi thorakpa wasing adu nakhoigi thamoidagi thoklakpani, aduga hairibasing asina nakhoibu maanghalli.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
Maramdi phattaba wakhallonsing, mihatpa, nupa-nupi lanaba, lamchat naidaba, huranba, chinthiba, aduga migi mangnanaba ngangba pumnamak asi thamoidagi thoklak-i.
20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
Hairibasing asina nakhoibu maanghalli. Adubu khut hamdoktana chabana nakhoibu maanghande.”
21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
Adudagi Jisuna Galilee thadoklamduna Tyre amadi Sidon lamda chatlammi.
22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
Aduga mapham aduda leiba Canaan-gi nupi amana Ibungogi nakta laktuna hairak-i, “He Ibungo, David-ki Machanupa, Ibungona eibu chanbiyu. Eigi ichanupi adu lai phattaba ama changduna tamthina ot-neiduna leire.”
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
Adubu Jisuna mangonda paokhum amata piramde. Maduda Ibungogi tung-inbasing aduna Ibungogi manakta laklaga haijarak-i, “Ibungona mahakpu chat-hanbikhro! Mahak eikhoigi itung induna laoraga leire.”
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Maduda Ibungona khumlak-i, “Eihak Tengban Mapugi mangkhraba yaosing haibadi Israel-gi mising khaktagidamak tharakpani.”
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
Adubu nupi aduna laktuna Ibungogi khuyada tuthajaduna hairak-i, “Ibungo, eibu pangbiyu!”
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
Maduda Jisuna hairak-i, “Angangsinggi chananaba adu louduna huisingda hunjinba chumde.”
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.
Nupi aduna khumlak-i, “Madu achumbani Ibungo, adubu huising aduna makhoigi mapusinggi table-dagi tarakpa arem akhaksing adu chajei.”
28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
Adudagi Jisuna nupi aduda hairak-i, “He nupi, nahakna kayada thajaba chetliba! Nahakki ningjaba adumak nangonda oisanu.” Aduga pungpham adumaktada mahakki machanupi adu naba phajare.
29 And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.
Adudagi Jisuna mapham adudagi Galilee-gi pat manakta hallaklaga ching amada kakhattuna phamlammi.
30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them:
Aduga yamlaba miyam amana makhong tekpa, mamit tangba, makhong soinaiba, lol thoktaba amadi atoppa kaya ama puraduna Ibungogi manakta laklammi. Amasung makhoibu Ibungogi mangda thamle aduga Ibungona makhoibu phahanbirammi.
31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.
Aduga lol thoktabasingna wa ngangba, soinaibasingna phajaba, khong tekpasingna chatpa, amadi mamit tangbasingna ujaba adu ubada miyam adu ngaklammi amasung makhoina Israel-gi Tengban Mapubu thagatcharammi.
32 Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
Adudagi Jisuna mahakki tung-inbasing adubu kouraduna hairak-i, “Eina miyam asigidamak nungsiba pokle, maramdi eihakka loinana makhoina numit humni leiminnare aduga houjik makhoigi chananaba karisu leitre. Aduga eina makhoibu kari amata pijadana thadokkhiba pamde adu nattrabadi makhoi lambida wantharakpasu yai.”
33 And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
Maduda Ibungogi tung-inbasing aduna Ibungoda haijarak-i, “Asuk yamkhraba miyam asina chaba konanaba chinjak lamhang asida eikhoina karamna phanggadouribano?”
34 And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.
Jisuna makhoida hairak-i, “Nakhoida tal kaya yaoribage?” Maduda makhoina khumlak-i, “Tal taret amasung nga macha kharaga yaojari.”
35 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.
Adudagi Ibungona miyam adubu leimaida phamthanaba hairammi.
36 And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
Aduga mahakna tal taret amadi nga adu louraga Tengban Mapubu thagatcharammi. Amasung talsing adu settuna tung-inbasingda pire, aduga tung-inbasing aduna miyam aduda yenthoklammi.
37 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full.
Amasung makhoi pumnamakna mabuk thanna charaba matungda lemhouba machet makaising adu tung-inbasingna thumok taret thanna khomjinkhi.
38 And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children.

39 And he sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala.
