< John 12 >

1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
Olusiku lwa katanu na imwi ichali ipasaka, Yesu agendele Bethania, anualiga Lazaro, unu asuluye okusoka mu bhafuye.
2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.
Mbe nibhamutekelayo ebyilo bya kegolo eyo na Martha nakeleketa, omwanya ogwo Lazaro aliga ali umwi ku bhaliya bheyanjile kubyilo amwi na Yesu.
3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
Mbe Mariamu nagega ratli ya malange ago gakonjelwe kwa nardo inkonde eyobhulambu muno, namubhambaga Yesu ebhigele, na mukubhula ebhigele kwa jifwili jaye; inyumba yona niijula obhulange bha mafuta.
4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray him,
Yuda Iskariote, umwi wa bhaliya abheigisibwa bhaye, unu aliga nenda okumulomela inuku Yesu, naika ati,
5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
“Kubhaki amafuta ganu gatakakanibwe kwa dinali magana gasatu ni bhabhana abhataka?
6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
Nawe aikile kutyo atali kubhafyila echigongo abhataka, kwokubha aliga mwifi: niwe omugumya wa isagwa gwa impilya aliga nagegamoga ebyo bhatulamoga okubha byaye wenyele.
7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.
Yesu anaika ati,”Mumusige atuleo echo alinacho kulwejo okulusi lwo kusikwa lwani.
8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.
Omutaka mulinabho siku jona; nawe mutakubha nanye siku jona.”
9 Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
Mbe echise chinene cha Bhayaudi bhamenyele ati Yesu aliyo, nibhaja, atali kulwa, Yesu ela nawe bhamulole na Lazaro unu Yesu asuluye okusoka mu bhafuye.
10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;
Nawe abhakulu bha bhagabhisi nibhakola imbisike okumwita Lazaro;
11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.
Kubha kubwaye bhafu Abhayaudi nibhagenda jebwe nibhamwikilisha Yesu.
12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
Olusiku lwa kabhili echise chinene bhaliga bhejile kumalwa. bhejile bhongwa ati Yesu kaja Yerusalemu,
13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Bhagegele amatabhi gamakinda no kusoka anja nokugenda okumulamila nibhabhuma chikelele,”Hosana! ana libhando unu kaja kwa lisina lya Lata bhugenyi, Omukama wa Israeli.”
14 And Jesus, when he had found a young donkey, sat thereon; as it is written,
Yesu nabhona omwana wa isikili nakalinyako lwa kutyo jandikilwe,
15 Fear not, daughter of Zion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on a donkey’s colt.
“Utobhaya, muyala wa Sayuni; lola, Omukama wao kaja, alinyile omwana wa isikili
16 These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.
Abheigisibwa bhaye bhatasombokewe emisango ja kubwambilo; Nawe Yesu nakusibwa, niwo nibhechuka okubha emisango jinu andikiwe ati bhakola emisango jinu kumwene.
17 The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.
Mbe liijo lya bhanu abhobhaliga aamwi na Yesu omwanya nibhamubhilkila Lazaro okusoka mufwa, nibhamubhambalila ku bhandi.
18 For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.
Okubha liijo lya bhanu bhagendele okumulamila kwo kubha bhonguwe ati akolele echibhalikilsho echo.
19 The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.
Abhafalisayo nibhaikana abhene kwa bhene, Lola, woli mutakutula kukola lyona; lola isi yagenda mumwene.”
20 And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:
Woli bhalio Abhayunani bhaliga amwi mwa bhaliya abhobhagendaga okulamya kumalya.
21 The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
Bhanu nibhamulubha Filipo, unu asokaga Bethsaida ya Galilaya, nibhamusabwa nibhaika ati,” Lata bhugenyi, ewse echenda okumulola Yesu;
22 Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.
Filipo nagenda namubwila ati Andrea; Andrea na Filipo nibhagenda nibhamubwila Yesu.
23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
Yesu nabhasubya naika ati,”Omwanya gwakinga kulwejo omwana wa Adamu akusibwe.
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a grain of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
Ni chimali, chimali, nabhabwila ati, injuma ya ingano ikalema okugwa ku si nifwa, eiyanja awo yenyele; nawe ikafwa, eibhula amatwasho mafu.
25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
Unu kenda obhuanga bwaye alibhubhusha; nawe unu katamaganwa obhuanga bwaye mu si munu alibhuonya nolwo obhuanga bwa kajanende. (aiōnios g166)
26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
Omunu woona akankolela anye, nandubhe; anye nili eyo omukosi wani labhaga. Omunu woone alankolela, Lata alimuyana echibhalo.
27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
Wolyanu omwoyo gwani gwasulumbala: anye enaikaki?'Lata, nuukishe omwanya gunu'? Nawe kulwejo nikingila mumwanya gunu.
28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
Lata, ulikushe lisina lyao.”Mbe lilaka nilija okusoka mulwile niyaika ati,”Nalikusha anye enilikusha lindi.”
29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
Mbe ebhise byaliga bhimeleguyu yeyi nage nibhogwa nibhaika ati, kugwajuma. Abhandi nibhaika ati,”Malaika aika nage.”
30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
Yesu nasubya naika ati,”Lilaka linu litejile kulwanye nawe ni kubwemwe.
31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
Wolyanu okulamula kwa isi inu ilio: Wolyanu omukulu wa isi inu kesibwa anja.
32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
Anye nakayanikwa ingulu ya isi, ndifutila bhona kwanye.”
33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.
Aikile kutyo nolesha okufwa kunu kajokufwa.
34 The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man? (aiōn g165)
Elikofyanya nibhamusubya ati,”eswe chonguwe mubhilagilo ati Kristo kabhalio kajanende. Kawe owaikaki,' Omwana wa Adamu ayanikwe ingulu'? Onu omwana wo munu niga?” (aiōn g165)
35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
Mbe Yesu nabhabwila ati, “Obwelu bhuchalio amwi nemwe mwanya mutoto Nimulibhate muchali no bwelu, echisute chisige okubhagwatila. Oyo kalibhatila muchisute atakumenya enukaja.
36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
Woli muchali no bwelu, mwikilishe obwelu mubhe bhana bho bwelu.”Yesu ejile amala okwaika nagenda jae niibhisa bhasiga kumulola.
37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
Yesu akolele ebhibhalikisho byafu imbele yebwe, bhatamwikilisishe.
38 That the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
Gukumila omusango gwo mulagi Isaya, aikile ati Lata bhugenyi niga ekilisishe emisango jebwe? No kubhoko kwa Lata bhugenyi kwa sululiwe ga?”
39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Isaiah said again,
Nikwo bhatekilisishe, kubha Isaya aikile lindi,
40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
“Abhaofushe ameso, nakola emitima jebwe bhasige kulola kwa meso gebwe no kumenyegesha ne mitima jebwe nibhekilisha anye nikebheulisha
41 These things said Isaiah, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
Isaya aikile ati emisango jinu kwokubha alolele likusho la Yesu naika emisango jaye.
42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
Nawe, nolwo mubhakulu bhafu bhamwikilisishe Yesu; Nawe kwokubha Abhafarisayo bhatekilisishe bhataja kuilisibwa na sinagogi.
43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
Bhendaga echibhalo cha bhanu kukila echibhalo cha Nyamuanga.
44 Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
Yesu naikila ingulu naika ati,”Unu kanyikilisha naye, atakwikilisha anye tali unu antumile anye,
45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.
Unu kandola anye kamulola unu antumile.
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
Anye nejile kubha bwelu bwa isi bhuli munu unu kanyikilisha anye atakwikala muchisute.
47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Akabha omunu woona atakugwata emisango jani nawe atakujigwata, anye nitakumulamila; okubha nitejile okulamula isi nawe nikishe isi.
48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Unu kalema anye atakwikilisha emisango jani, unu kamulamula: Omusango gunu naika nigwo gulimulamula ku lusiku lwo bhutelo.
49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
Okubha anye nitaikile kwo mutima gwani Nawe ni Lata unu antumile, nawe omwene andagiliye jinu ndaika na jinu ndaika.
50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. (aiōnios g166)
Anye nimenyele echilagilo chaye ni bhuanga bwa kajanende nawe jinu enaika anye, lwa kutyo Lata ambwiliye, nikwo enaika kwebwe.” (aiōnios g166)
