< Job 23 >
1 Then Job answered and said,
Tete Hiob ɖo eŋu be,
2 Even to day is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning.
“Egbe gɔ̃ hã nye konyifafa do gã ɖe edzi, eƒe asi sẽ ɖe dzinye, evɔ mele hũu ɖem hafi.
3 Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat!
Nenye ɖe manya afi si makpɔe le, nenye ɖe mayi enɔƒe la, anyo ŋutɔ!
4 I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.
Matsɔ nye nya aɖo eŋkume eye nye nu me ayɔ fũu kple nya siwo matsɔ aɖe ɖokuinye nu
5 I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me.
Ne makpɔ ale si wòaɖo eŋu nam eye mabu nya si wòagblɔ la ŋuti.
6 Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me.
Ɖe wòatsi tsitre ɖe ŋunye kple ŋusẽ gã aɖea? Ao, ke boŋ aɖo tom
7 There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered for ever from my judge.
Afi ma ame dzɔdzɔe ate ŋu atsɔ eƒe nyawo aɖo eŋkume le eye woaɖem tegbee tso nye ʋɔnudrɔ̃la ƒe asi me.
8 Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:
“Gake ne meyi ɣedzeƒe la, mele afi ma o, ne meyi ɣetoɖoƒe la, nyemekpɔe le afi ma hã o.
9 On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:
Ne ele dɔ wɔm le anyiehe la, nyemekpɔnɛ o, ne etrɔ ɖe dziehe hã la, nye ŋku melɔnɛ o.
10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
Gake enya mɔ si dzi mele, ne edom kpɔ la, mato eme abe sika ene.
11 My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.
Nye afɔwo le eƒe afɔtoƒewo yome kplikplikpli, melé eƒe mɔ tsɔ eye nyemedze ɖe aga o.
12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
Nyemete ɖe aga tso eƒe nuyiwo ƒe sededewo gbɔ o, mede asixɔxɔ eƒe nyawo ŋu wu nye gbe sia gbe ƒe nuɖuɖu.
13 But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.
“Ke eya ɖekae li, ame ka ate ŋu axe mɔ nɛ? Nu sia nu si dze eŋu lae wòwɔna.
14 For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.
Ena se siwo wòde ɖi la va eme ɖe ŋutinye eye ɖoɖo siawo tɔgbi gale esi ɖe ŋunye.
15 Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him.
Esia ta ŋɔ dzim le eŋkume eye ne mebu esiawo katã ŋuti la, mevɔ̃na nɛ.
16 For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me:
Mawu na dzi ɖe le ƒonye, Ŋusẽkatãtɔ la do ŋɔdzi nam.
17 Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither hath he covered the darkness from my face.
Ke hã la, viviti la alo blukɔ tsiɖitsiɖi si tsyɔ mo nam la mena ɖoɖoe zi le nunye o.
