Jeremiah 48
1 Against Moab thus saith Yhwh of Armies, the God of Israel; Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled: Kiriathaim is confounded and taken: Misgab is confounded and dismayed.
੧ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ, ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਬੋ ਲਈ ਅਫ਼ਸੋਸ! ਉਹ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਜੋ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਕਿਰਯਾਤਾਇਮ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਉਹ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ, ਉੱਚਾ ਬੁਰਜ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਘਬਰਾ ਗਿਆ।
2 There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also thou shalt be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee.
੨ਮੋਆਬ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਫੇਰ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਹਸ਼ਬੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੁਗਤਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਕਿ ਆਓ, ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਕੌਮ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਕੱਟ ਸੁੱਟੀਏ! ਹੇ ਮਦਮੇਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ, ਤੂੰ ਵੀ ਚੁੱਪ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ, ਤਲਵਾਰ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰੇਗੀ!
3 A voice of crying shall be from Horonaim, spoiling and great destruction.
੩ਹੋਰੋਨਇਮ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼, ਉਜਾੜ ਅਤੇ ਭੰਨ ਤੋੜ!
4 Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.
੪ਮੋਆਬ ਭੰਨਿਆ ਤੋੜਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਿਆਣਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਚਿੱਲਾਉਣਾ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
5 For in the going up of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the going down of Horonaim the enemies have heard a cry of destruction.
੫ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਲੂਹੀਥ ਦੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਉੱਤੇ, ਉਹ ਰੋਂਦੇ-ਰੋਂਦੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੋਰੋਨਇਮ ਦੀ ਉਤਰਾਈ ਉੱਤੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਭੰਨ ਤੋੜ ਦੀ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ।
6 Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness.
੬ਨੱਠੋ! ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਓ! ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਸੁੱਕੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋ ਜਾਓ!
7 For because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity with his priests and his princes together.
੭ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਵੀ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਕਮੋਸ਼ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਇਕੱਠੇ।
8 And the spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape: the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as Yhwh hath spoken.
੮ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨਾ ਬਚੇਗਾ, ਵਾਦੀ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਮੈਦਾਨ ਦਾ ਸੱਤਿਆਨਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ।
9 Give wings unto Moab, that it may flee and get away: for the cities thereof shall be desolate, without any to dwell therein.
੯ਮੋਆਬ ਨੂੰ ਖੰਭ ਲਾ ਦਿਓ, ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉੱਡ ਕੇ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਵੇ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
10 Cursed be he that doeth the work of Yhwh deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood.
੧੦ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਆਲਸੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ! ਅਤੇ ਸਰਾਪੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਲਹੂ ਵਹਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਦਾ ਹੈ!।
11 Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed.
੧੧ਮੋਆਬ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੁਆਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਅਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਹਾ, ਉਸ ਆਪਣਾ ਫੋਗ ਰੱਖ ਛੱਡਿਆ, ਨਾ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਲੱਦਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਨਾ ਉਹ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਿਹਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਨਾ ਬਦਲੀ।
12 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith Yhwh, that I will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles.
੧੨ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵੇਖ, ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਉਲੱਦਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਾਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਾਂਡਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਲੱਦਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਖਣਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਮੱਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੂਰ-ਚੂਰ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
13 And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Beth–el their confidence.
੧੩ਤਾਂ ਮੋਆਬ ਕਮੋਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਰਮਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਬੈਤਏਲ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਰਮਾਇਆ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਸੀ।
14 How say ye, We are mighty and strong men for the war?
੧੪ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਆਖਦੇ ਭਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਹਾਂ! ਲੜਾਈ ਲਈ ਫ਼ੌਜੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਾਂ!
15 Moab is spoiled, and gone up out of her cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, whose name is Yhwh of Armies.
੧੫ਮੋਆਬ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੁਗਵੇਂ ਜੁਆਨ ਘਾਤ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਰ ਗਏ, ਰਾਜਾ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ ਜਿਹ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹੈ।
16 The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hasteth fast.
੧੬ਮੋਆਬ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਛੇਤੀ ਲੱਗੀ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
17 All ye that are about him, bemoan him; and all ye that know his name, say, How is the strong staff broken, and the beautiful rod!
੧੭ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਹੋ, ਰੋਵੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ, ਆਖੋ, ਕਿਵੇਂ ਇਹ ਤਕੜਾ ਢਾਂਗਾ ਟੁੱਟ ਗਿਆ, ਉਹ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਡੰਡਾ!
18 Thou daughter that dost inhabit Dibon, come down from thy glory, and sit in thirst; for the spoiler of Moab shall come upon thee, and he shall destroy thy strong holds.
੧੮ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਆ, ਅਤੇ ਤਿਹਾਈ ਬੈਠ, ਹੇ ਦੀਬੋਨ ਦੀਏ ਵਸਨੀਕ ਧੀਏ, - ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੋਆਬ ਦਾ ਲੁੱਟਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
19 O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and espy; ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth, and say, What is done?
੧੯ਰਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਖਲੋ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖ, ਹੇ ਅਰੋਏਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਵੱਸਣ ਵਾਲੇ! ਨੱਠੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛ, ਅਤੇ ਆਖ, ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ?
20 Moab is confounded; for it is broken down: howl and cry; tell ye it in Arnon, that Moab is spoiled,
੨੦ਮੋਆਬ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਉਹ ਢਾਹਿਆ ਜੋ ਗਿਆ, - ਤੁਸੀਂ ਰੋਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਚਿੱਲਾਓ! ਅਰਨੋਨ ਨਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਸੋ, ਭਈ ਮੋਆਬ ਲੁੱਟਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
21 And judgment is come upon the plain country; upon Holon, and upon Jahazah, and upon Mephaath,
੨੧ਪੱਧਰੇ ਦੇਸ ਉੱਤੇ, ਹੋਲੋਨ, ਯਹਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਫ਼ਾਅਥ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ
22 And upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Beth–diblathaim,
੨੨ਦੀਬੋਨ ਉੱਤੇ, ਨਬੋ ਉੱਤੇ, ਬੈਤ-ਦਿਬਲਾਤਇਮ ਉੱਤੇ
23 And upon Kiriathaim, and upon Beth–gamul, and upon Beth–meon,
੨੩ਕਿਰਯਾਤਾਇਮ ਉੱਤੇ, ਬੈਤ ਗਾਮੂਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਤ ਮਾਓਨ ਉੱਤੇ
24 And upon Kerioth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far or near.
੨੪ਕਰੀਯੋਥ ਉੱਤੇ, ਬਾਸਰਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਦੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਦੇ ਹਨ
25 The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith Yhwh.
੨੫ਮੋਆਬ ਦਾ ਸਿੰਗ ਭੰਨਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਂਹ ਤੋੜੀ ਗਈ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
26 Make ye him drunken: for he magnified himself against Yhwh: Moab also shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.
੨੬ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਈ ਕਰੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਵੱਡਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਮੋਆਬ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੈ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੇਟੇਗਾ, ਨਾਲੇ ਉਹ ਹਾਸੇ ਲਈ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ
27 For was not Israel a derision unto thee? was he found among thieves? for since thou spakest of him, thou skippedst for joy.
੨੭ਕੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਹਾਸਾ ਨਾ ਸੀ? ਕੀ ਉਹ ਚੋਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਕਦੀਂ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਿਰ ਹਿਲਾਇਆ?।
28 O ye that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock, and be like the dove that maketh her nest in the sides of the hole’s mouth.
੨੮ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗੋ ਅਤੇ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸੋ, ਹੇ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀਓ! ਘੁੱਗੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਬਣੋ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਗੁਫ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਵੱਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਲ੍ਹਣਾ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
29 We have heard the pride of Moab, ( he is exceeding proud ) his loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart.
੨੯ਅਸੀਂ ਮੋਆਬ ਦਾ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਸੁਣਿਆ, - ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਹੈ, - ਉਸ ਦਾ ਘਮੰਡ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹੰਕਾਰ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹੈਂਕੜੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਆਕੜ।
30 I know his wrath, saith Yhwh; but it shall not be so; his lies shall not so effect it.
੩੦ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੇਖੀ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਿਆ।
31 Therefore will I howl for Moab, and I will cry out for all Moab; mine heart shall mourn for the men of Kir–heres.
੩੧ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਮੋਆਬ ਲਈ ਰੋਵਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੋਆਬ ਲਈ ਚਿੱਲਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਉਹ ਕੀਰ-ਹਰਸ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਲਈ ਵਿਰਲਾਪ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
32 O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with the weeping of Jazer: thy plants are gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage.
੩੨ਯਾਜ਼ੇਰ ਦੇ ਰੋਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਵੱਧ ਰੋਵਾਂਗਾ, ਹੇ ਸਿਬਮਾਹ ਦੀ ਦਾਖ! ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਯਅਜ਼ੇਰ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੱਕ ਪੁੱਜ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਤੇਰੇ ਗਰਮ ਰੁੱਤ ਦੇ ਮੇਵਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ, ਤੇਰੀ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਫਸਲ ਉੱਤੇ, ਲੁਟੇਰਾ ਆ ਡਿੱਗਾ ਹੈ।
33 And joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful field, and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses: none shall tread with shouting; their shouting shall be no shouting.
੩੩ਅਨੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਜ ਫਲਦਾਰ ਖੇਤ ਤੋਂ, ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਤੋਂ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਗਏ। ਮੈਂ ਚੁਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਕੋਈ ਲਲਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਨਾ ਲਤਾੜੇਗਾ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਲਕਾਰ, ਲਲਕਾਰ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ!।
34 From the cry of Heshbon even unto Elealeh, and even unto Jahaz, have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even unto Horonaim, as an heifer of three years old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate.
੩੪ਹਸ਼ਬੋਨ ਅਲਾਲੇਹ ਤੱਕ ਚਿੱਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਯਹਸ ਤੱਕ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੋਆਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੋਰੋਨਇਮ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਲਥ-ਸ਼ਲੀਸ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਤੱਕ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਨਿਮਰੀਮ ਦੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵੀ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ
35 Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, saith Yhwh, him that offereth in the high places, and him that burneth incense to his gods.
੩੫ਮੈਂ ਮੋਆਬ ਵਿੱਚ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉੱਚੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੁਕਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ
36 Therefore mine heart shall sound for Moab like pipes, and mine heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kir–heres: because the riches that he hath gotten are perished.
੩੬ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ ਮੋਆਬ ਲਈ ਬੰਸਰੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹਡਕੋਰੇ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ ਕੀਰ-ਹਰਸ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਸਰੀਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹਡਕੋਰੇ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਧਨ ਬਚਤ ਦਾ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ
37 For every head shall be bald, and every beard clipped: upon all the hands shall be cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.
੩੭ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਿਰ ਮੁੰਨਿਆ ਹੈ, ਹਰੇਕ ਦਾੜ੍ਹੀ ਕਤਰੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਘਾਓ ਲਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਲੱਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੱਪੜ ਹੈ
38 There shall be lamentation generally upon all the housetops of Moab, and in the streets thereof: for I have broken Moab like a vessel wherein is no pleasure, saith Yhwh.
੩੮ਮੋਆਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਛੱਤਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਰੋਣਾ-ਪਿੱਟਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਮੋਆਬ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ
39 They shall howl, saying, How is it broken down! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! so shall Moab be a derision and a dismaying to all them about him.
੩੯ਇਹ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਢਾਹਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਿਆਪਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਕਿਵੇਂ ਮੋਆਬ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਿੱਠ ਮੋੜੀ ਹੈ! ਮੋਆਬ ਇੱਕ ਹਾਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਲਈ ਭੈਅ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈ।
40 For thus saith Yhwh; Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread his wings over Moab.
੪੦ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, - ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਉਕਾਬ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਉੱਡੇਗਾ, ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਿਲਾਰੇਗਾ।
41 Kerioth is taken, and the strong holds are surprised, and the mighty men’s hearts in Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
੪੧ਨਗਰ ਲੈ ਲਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਗੜ੍ਹ ਫੜੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਪੀੜਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
42 And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against Yhwh.
੪੨ਮੋਆਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਕੌਮ ਨਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਵੱਡਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
43 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, shall be upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith Yhwh.
੪੩ਭੋਂ, ਭੋਹਰਾ ਤੇ ਫੰਧਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਹੇ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
44 He that fleeth from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith Yhwh.
੪੪ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਭੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਨੱਠੇਗਾ ਭੋਹਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿੱਗੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਭੋਹਰੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਆਵੇਗਾ, ਫੰਧੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ, ਹਾਂ, ਮੋਆਬ ਉੱਤੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਵਰ੍ਹਾ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
45 They that fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon because of the force: but a fire shall come forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.
੪੫ਹਸ਼ਬੋਨ ਦੀ ਛਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਬਲਹੀਣ ਭਗੌੜੇ ਖਲੋਤੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਹਸ਼ਬੋਨ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗ, ਸੀਹੋਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰੋਂ ਭਬੂਕਾ ਨਿੱਕਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਫਸਾਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਖੋਪੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
46 Woe be unto thee, O Moab! the people of Chemosh perisheth: for thy sons are taken captives, and thy daughters captives.
੪੬ਹੇ ਮੋਆਬ, ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਅਫ਼ਸੋਸ! ਕਮੋਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਨਾਸ ਹੋਏ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਲਏ ਗਏ, ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ।
47 Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, saith Yhwh. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.
੪੭ਤਦ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੀ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਪਰ ਆਖਰੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ। ਏਥੇ ਤੱਕ ਮੋਆਬ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਹੈ।
