< 2 Samuel 21 >
1 Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of Yhwh. And Yhwh answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.
Hitichun leng David khanglai hin kum thum sungin kel analhan, hijeh chun David jong chun iti ding ham, tin Pakai chu adong tan ahi, chuin Pakaiyin hitin ahinseiye, “Saul chun Gibeon mite anatha jeh a Saul le a insung mite chunga thisan so jal a themmona aum jeh ahi,” ati.
2 And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.)
Hijeh chun lengpan jong Gibeon mite chu akoukhom soh tai. chule Gibeon mite hi Israel chate sung peng mi ahipouvin Amor mite chia peng athimoh ho ahibouvui; chule amaho hi Israel chaten thalou dinga anasei vanguvin, Saul chun ami Israel chate leh Judah tedinga atom ngai na jeh-a amaho hi suhgam ding anati ahi.
3 Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of Yhwh?
David’in hiche Gibeon mite koma chun hitin aseiye, “Ipi kabol peh diu ham? Itobang mongin longman nasem peh theiyu leng nanghon hiche Pakai goulo mite hi phatthei naboh thei dingu ham?” tin adong tai.
4 And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you.
Hichun Gibeon miten leng David koma chun aseiyun, “Keiho le Saul chule ainsung mite kah a thuhi dangka le sana peh a kihoucham na thei ding jong ahipoi, keihon Israel mite lah a mihem khat tou ka thalo diu thujong ahi deh poi,” atiuve. Chuin David chun asei kit’in, Ahile ken nang ho dinga ipipen ba ka bolpeh diu ham? Neiseipih un khuti leh ken nang ho dia kabolpih ding nahiu ve” ati.
5 And they answered the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the coasts of Israel,
Hiti chun amahon jong lengpa koma chun, “Israel gamsunga chen-mun ge-mun kanei lou helna diuva keiho suhgam nadia lunggel tohgon ananei chu Saul ahi atiuve.
6 Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto Yhwh in Gibeah of Saul, whom Yhwh did choose. And the king said, I will give them.
Hijeh chun Saul chate pasal sagi ho chu keiho khut a neihin peu vin lang, chule keihon jong amaho chu Gibeon khoa Pakai molsang chunga khun Pakai angsunga ga khailih jeng’uvinge,” ati tauve. Chuphat in David jong chun, “chuti ahileh amaho mi sagi chu nape nau vinge,” atipeh tai.
7 But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of Yhwh's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.
Lengpan Saul chapa Jonathan chapa Mephibosheth vang chu ahing hoiye; ijeh-inem itileh amanin Pakaiya kihahsel na ana nei lhon ahi, David le Saul chapa Jonathan in kihahsel na ananeisa lhon ahitai.
8 But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:

9 And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before Yhwh: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.
David’in mi sagi hi Gibeon mite khut a apedoh tai; chuin amahon jong hiche pasal sagi ho chu molsang chunga Pakai angsunga akhaiyuvin, mi sagi jenchu athigam tauve. Amaho atha niu chu sakol chang-at kipat til ni chu anahi.
10 And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.

12 And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabesh–gilead, which had stolen them from the street of Beth–shan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa:
