2 Corinthians 2
1 But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness.
Empero esto he determinado entre mí, de no venir otra vez a vosotros con tristeza.
2 For if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me?
Porque si yo os contristo, ¿quién será pues el que me alegrará, sino el mismo a quien yo contristare?
3 And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.
Y esto mismo os escribí, porque cuando viniere no tuviese tristeza sobre tristeza de lo que había de haber gozo: confiando en vosotros todos que mi gozo es el de todos vosotros.
4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.
Porque de en medio de mucha tribulación y angustia de corazón, os escribí con muchas lágrimas: no para que fueseis contristados, mas para que conocieseis cuán abundante amor tengo para con vosotros.
5 But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.
Que si alguno ha causado tristeza, no me contristó a mí sino en parte, por no cargar la culpa sobre todos vosotros.
6 Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.
Bástale al tal esta reprensión que fue hecha por muchos:
7 So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.
De manera que ahora al contrario vosotros debéis más bien perdonar le, y consolar le, porque no sea el tal absorbido de demasiada tristeza.
8 Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.
Por lo cual os ruego que confirméis vuestro amor para con él.
9 For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.
Porque también por este fin os escribí a vosotros, para conocer la prueba de vosotros, si sois obedientes en todo.
10 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;
Al que vosotros perdonareis algo, también yo; porque también yo si algo he perdonado, a quien lo he perdonado, por vuestra causa lo he hecho en la persona de Cristo;
11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
Para que Satanás no nos gane alguna ventaja; porque no ignoramos sus maquinaciones.
12 Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord,
Mas cuando yo vine a Troas por predicar el evangelio de Cristo, y me fue abierta puerta en el Señor,
13 I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.
No tuve reposo en mi espíritu, por no haber hallado a Tito mi hermano; y así despidiéndome de ellos, me partí desde allí para Macedonia.
14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
Mas gracias a Dios, el cual hace que siempre triunfemos en Cristo Jesús; y manifiesta el olor de su conocimiento por nosotros en todo lugar;
15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
Porque somos para Dios suave olor de Cristo en los que son salvos, y en los que se pierden:
16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
A estos olor de muerte para muerte; y a aquellos olor de vida para vida. Y para estas cosas ¿quién es suficiente?
17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
Porque no somos, como muchos, adulteradores de la palabra de Dios; antes como de sinceridad, antes como de Dios, delante de Dios, en Cristo hablamos.
