< 1 Peter 2 >
1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
Ke ma inge kowos in sisla liki kowos kain in ma koluk nukewa; tia sifil kikiap, ku kaskas wosounkas, ku sok, ku kas in akkolukye sie sin sie.
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
Kowos in oana tulik tufahna isusla, malu pacl nukewa nu ke sronin titi mutal lun Ngun, tuh ke kowos nim kowos in kapak ac moulla.
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
Oana ke Ma Simusla uh fahk, “Kowos sifacna konauk woiyen kulang lun Leum God.”
4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
Kowos in fahsr nu yurin Leum, eot moul su mwet uh pilesrala, a God El sulela ac aksaokye.
5 Ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Kowos in fahsru oana eot moul, ac lela in orekmakinyuk kowos in musaela tempul lun ngun, yen ma kowos ac fah kulansap oana mwet tol mutal in sang mwe kisa su mwe akinsewowoye God, ac akkalemyeyuk nu suwos sin ngun lal ke Jesus Christ.
6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
Tuh Ma Simusla uh fahk, “Liye, nga sulela sie eot saok, Su nga ac filiya tuh in eot in sruwasrik in Zion; Ac kutena mwet su lulalfongi ke el, ac fah tiana auli.”
7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
Eot se inge yohk sripa nu suwos su lulalfongi; a nu selos su tia lulalfongi: “Eot se su mwet musa sisla mu wangin sripa Ekla pa yohk sripa oemeet uh.”
8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
Ac sie pac Ma Simusla uh fahk, “Pa inge eot se ma ac oru mwet uh in tukulkul, Eot se ma ac oru elos in ikori.” Elos tukulkul mweyen elos tia lulalfongi ke kas sin God me; ma inge fal nu ke oakwuk lun God kaclos.
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Tuh kowos pa mutanfahl se ma suleyukla, mwet tol lun Tokosra, sie mutanfahl mutal, mwet lun God sifacna, suleyukla in sulkakin orekma wo lun God, su pangonkowosme liki lohsr nu ke kalem wolana lal.
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Meet kowos tuh tia mwet lun God, a inge kowos mwet lal. Meet kowos tia etu ke pakoten lun God, a inge kowos eis tari pakoten lal.
11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
Mwet kawuk luk, su moul oana mwet sac ac mwet fufahsryesr fin faclu, nga kwafe tuh kowos in sisla ma koluk su monuwos kena nu kac, su mweun lain moul in ngun.
12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Ouiyen moul lowos inmasrlon mwet selulalfongi uh enenu in arulana wo, elos fin mau akkolukye kowos ac fahk mu kowos mwet orekma koluk, elos ac akilen orekma wo lowos uh, ac kaksakin God ke Len se El ac tuku uh.
13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
Ke sripen Leum, kowos in akos mwet kol nukewa fin faclu — nu sin Tokosra Fulat, tuh el fulat oemeet,
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
ac nu sin governor uh, su srisrngiyuk sin Tokosra Fulat tuh elos in kalyei mwet orekma koluk, ac kaksakin mwet orekma wo.
15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
Tuh God El lungse kowos in tulokinya sramsram lalfon lun mwet nikin, ke orekma wo lowos.
16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
Kowos in moul oana mwet sukosok, tusruktu nimet orekmakin sukosok lowos in afinya kutena ma koluk, a kowos in moul oana mwet kohs lun God.
17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
Kowos in sunakin mwet nukewa, ac lungse mwet lulalfongi wiowos, ac akfulatye God, ac sunakin Tokosra Fulat.
18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked.
Kowos mwet kulansap, kowos in akos mwet kacto lowos an, ac arulana akfulatyalos — tia nu selos na su kulang ac nunak wo keiwos, a nu selos pac su kou.
19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
Kowos fin mutangla ngal lun mwe keok su tia fal in orek nu suwos, mweyen kowos akilen lah pa inge ma lungse lun God nu suwos, ma inge ac mwe insewowo nu suwos.
20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
Tuh mwe mea in kaksakinyuk kom, kom fin muteng ke anwuk ma orek nu sum ke sripen kom orala sie ma koluk? A kom fin muteng mwe keok su orek nu sum ke kom oru ma wo, God El ac fah akinsewowoye kom.
21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
Pa inge ma God El pangon kowos nu kac, tuh Christ sifacna el tuh keok keiwos ac oakiya sie mwe srikasrak nu suwos tuh kowos fah fahsr in falkal.
22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
Wangin ma koluk el orala, ac wangin kas kikiap lohngyuk sel.
23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
Ke mwet uh fahk kas in akkolukyal, el tia topkolos ke kas koluk; ke el keok, el tia fahk kutena kas in aksangeng, a el eisalang nu sin God, El su nununku suwohs.
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Christ el sifacna usla ma koluk lasr in manol nu fin sakseng, tuh kut in wi ma koluk lasr uh misa ac moulkin moul suwoswos. Kowos kwela ke sripen kinet kacl.
25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
Kowos tuh oana sheep su tuhlac, tusruktu inge folokinyukme kowos tuh kowos in fahsr tukun Mwet Shepherd, su karingin ngunuwos.
