1 Kings 4
1 So king Solomon was king over all Israel.
Und König Salomoh war König über ganz Israel.
2 And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,
Und dies waren die Obersten, die er hatte: Asarjahu, Sohn Zadoks, war der Priester.
3 Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.
Elichoreph und Achijah, die Söhne Schischas waren Schreiber; Jehoschaphat, der Sohn Achiluds, war Kanzler.
4 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the army: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
Und Benajahu, Sohn Jehojadas, war über das Herr, und Zadok und Abjathar waren Priester.
5 And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king’s friend:
Und Asarjahu, der Sohn Nathans, war über die Beamten, und Sabud, der Sohn Nathans, des Priesters, war Genosse des Königs.
6 And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.
Und Achischar war über das Haus, und Adoniram, der Sohn Abdas, über die Fron.
7 And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.
Und Salomoh hatte zwölf Beamte über ganz Israel, und diese versorgten den König und sein Haus. Einen Monat im Jahr war an dem einen die Versorgung.
8 And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:
Und dies waren ihre Namen: Der Sohn Churs auf dem Gebirge Ephraim;
9 The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth–shemesh, and Elon–beth–hanan:
Der Sohn Dekers in Makaz und in Schaalbim und in Beth-Schemesch und in Elon Beth-Chanan.
10 The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:
Und der Sohn Cheseds war in Arubboth und hatte Socho und das ganze Land Chepher.
11 The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
Der Sohn Abinadabs war über den ganzen Höhenstrich Dor, und Taphat, die Tochter Salomohs, war ihm zum Weibe.
12 Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth–shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth–shean to Abel–meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:
Baana, der Sohn Achiluds, hatte Thaanach und Megiddo und ganz Beth-Schean, das neben Zarethan unterhalb Jisreel ist, von Beth-Schean bis Abel-Mecholah bis jenseits von Jokmeam;
13 The son of Geber, in Ramoth–gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:
Der Sohn Gebers war in Ramoth Gilead. Dazu gehörten die Dörfer Jairs, des Sohnes von Menascheh in Gilead; sein war der Landstrich Argob in Baschan, sechzig große Städte mit Mauern und ehernen Riegeln.
14 Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:
Achinadab, der Sohn Iddos, in Machanajim;
15 Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
Achimaaz in Naphthali; auch hatte er Basemath, die Tochter Salomohs, zum Weibe genommen;
16 Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:
Baana, der Sohn Chuschais, in Ascher und Bealoth;
17 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:
Jehoschaphat, der Sohn Paruachs, in Issaschar;
18 Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:
Schimei, der Sohn Elas, in Benjamin;
19 Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.
Geber, der Sohn Uris, im Lande Gilead, dem Lande Sichons, des Königs der Amoriter und Ogs, des Königs von Baschan; und ein Statthalter war im Lande.
20 Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.
Judah und Israel waren viel wie der Sand am Meer an Menge und aßen und tranken und waren fröhlich.
21 And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
Und Salomoh war Herrscher über all die Königreiche vom Flusse zum Land der Philister und bis an die Grenze Ägyptens. Sie brachten Geschenke herbei und dienten Salomoh alle Tage seines Lebens.
22 And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,
Und das Brot Salomohs für einen Tag war dreißig Kor Semmelmehl und sechzig Kor Mehl.
23 Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.
Zehn gemästete Rinder und zwanzig Rinder der Weide und hundert vom Kleinvieh, ohne die Hirsche und Rehe und Damhirsche und fettgemachtes Geflügel.
24 For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
Denn er beherrschte das ganze Gebiet des Flusses von Thiphsach und bis Gaza, über alle Könige diesseits des Flusses, und hatte Frieden von allen seinen Knechten ringsumher.
25 And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer–sheba, all the days of Solomon.
Und Judah und Israel wohnten in Sicherheit, jeder Mann unter seinem Weinstock und unter seinem Feigenbaum, von Dan und bis Beer-Scheba alle Tage Salomohs.
26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
Und Salomoh hatte vierzigtausend Stände für Pferde für seine Streitwagen und zwölftausend Reiter.
27 And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
Und diese Beamten versorgten den König Salomoh und alle, die zum Tische des Königs Salomoh nahten, jeder Mann in seinem Monat, und ließen es an nichts fehlen.
28 Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.
Und die Gerste und das Stroh für die Pferde und die Renner brachten sie an den Ort, wo sie waren, jeder Mann nach seiner Anweisung.
29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
Und Gott gab dem Salomoh Weisheit und sehr viel Einsicht und ein weites Herz wie der Sand am Ufer des Meeres.
30 And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
Und der Weisheit Salomohs war mehr als der Weisheit aller Söhne des Ostens und als aller Weisheit Ägyptens.
31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
Und er war weiser als alle Menschen, als Ethan, der Esrachite, und als Heman und Chalkol und Darda, die Söhne Machols, und sein Name war unter allen Völkerschaften ringsumher.
32 And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
Und er redete dreitausend Sprüche und seine Lieder waren tausendfünf.
33 And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
Und er redete über die Bäume, von der Zeder auf dem Libanon und bis zum Ysop, der aus der Wand herauskommt, und er redete vom Vieh und vom Gevögel und vom Kriechtier und von den Fischen.
34 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
Und sie kamen von allen Völkern, zu hören die Weisheit Salomohs, von allen Königen der Erde, die von seiner Weisheit gehört.
