1 Corinthians 9
1 Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord?
Δεν είμαι απόστολος; δεν είμαι ελεύθερος; δεν είδον τον Ιησούν Χριστόν τον Κύριον ημών; δεν είσθε σεις το έργον μου εν Κυρίω;
2 If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.
Αν δεν ήμαι εις άλλους απόστολος, αλλ' εις εσάς τουλάχιστον είμαι· διότι η σφραγίς της αποστολής μου σεις είσθε εν Κυρίω.
3 Mine answer to them that do examine me is this,
Η απολογία μου εις τους ανακρίνοντάς με είναι αύτη·
4 Have we not right to eat and to drink?
μη δεν έχομεν εξουσίαν να φάγωμεν και να πίωμεν;
5 Have we not right to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?
μη δεν έχομεν εξουσίαν να συμπεριφέρωμεν αδελφήν γυναίκα, ως και οι λοιποί απόστολοι και οι αδελφοί του Κυρίου και ο Κηφάς;
6 Or I only and Barnabas, have not we right to forbear working?
ή μόνος εγώ και ο Βαρνάβας δεν έχομεν εξουσίαν να μη εργαζώμεθα;
7 Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?
Τις ποτέ εκστρατεύει με ίδια αυτού έξοδα; Τις φυτεύει αμπελώνα και δεν τρώγει εκ του καρπού αυτού; ή τις ποιμαίνει ποίμνιον και δεν τρώγει εκ του γάλακτος του ποιμνίου;
8 Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also?
Μήπως κατά άνθρωπον λαλώ ταύτα; ή δεν λέγει ταύτα και ο νόμος;
9 For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the grain. Doth God take care for oxen?
διότι εν τω νόμω του Μωϋσέως είναι γεγραμμένον· Δεν θέλεις εμφράξει το στόμα βοός αλωνίζοντος. Μήπως μέλει τον Θεόν περί των βοών;
10 Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.
ή δι' ημάς βεβαίως λέγει τούτο; διότι δι' ημάς εγράφη, ότι ο αροτριών με ελπίδα πρέπει να αροτριά, και ο αλωνίζων με ελπίδα να μετέχη της ελπίδος αυτού.
11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
Εάν ημείς εσπείραμεν εις εσάς τα πνευματικά, μέγα είναι εάν ημείς θερίσωμεν τα σαρκικά σας;
12 If others be partakers of this authority over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this authority; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.
Εάν άλλοι μετέχωσι της εφ' υμάς εξουσίας, δεν πρέπει μάλλον ημείς; Αλλά δεν μετεχειρίσθημεν την εξουσίαν ταύτην, αλλ' υποφέρομεν πάντα, διά να μη προξενήσωμεν εμπόδιόν τι εις το ευαγγέλιον του Χριστού.
13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
Δεν εξεύρετε ότι οι εργαζόμενοι τα ιερά εκ του ιερού τρώγουσιν, οι ενασχολούμενοι εις το θυσιαστήριον μετά του θυσιαστηρίου λαμβάνουσι μερίδιον;
14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
Ούτω και ο Κύριος διέταξεν, οι κηρύττοντες το ευαγγέλιον να ζώσιν εκ του ευαγγελίου.
15 But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.
Πλην εγώ ουδέν τούτων μετεχειρίσθην. Ουδέ έγραψα ταύτα διά να γείνη ούτως εις εμέ· διότι καλόν είναι εις εμέ να αποθάνω μάλλον παρά να ματαιώση τις το καύχημά μου.
16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
Διότι εάν κηρύττω το ευαγγέλιον, δεν είναι εις εμέ καύχημα· επειδή ανάγκη επίκειται εις εμέ· ουαί δε είναι εις εμέ εάν δεν κηρύττω·
17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
επειδή εάν κάμνω τούτο εκουσίως, έχω μισθόν· εάν δε ακουσίως, είμαι εμπεπιστευμένος οικονομίαν.
18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my authority in the gospel.
Τις λοιπόν είναι ο μισθός μου; το να κάμω αδάπανον το ευαγγέλιον του Χριστού διά της κηρύξεώς μου, ώστε να μη κάμνω κατάχρησιν της εξουσίας μου εν τω ευαγγελίω.
19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
Διότι ελεύθερος ων πάντων εις πάντας εδούλωσα εμαυτόν, διά να κερδήσω τους πλειοτέρους·
20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
και έγεινα εις τους Ιουδαίους ως Ιουδαίος, διά να κερδήσω τους Ιουδαίους· εις τους υπό νόμον ως υπό νόμον, διά να κερδήσω τους υπό νόμον·
21 To them that are without law, as without law, ( being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ, ) that I might gain them that are without law.
εις τους ανόμους ως άνομος, μη ων άνομος εις τον Θεόν, αλλ' έννομος εις τον Χριστόν, διά να κερδήσω ανόμους·
22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
έγεινα εις τους ασθενείς ως ασθενής, διά να κερδήσω τους ασθενείς· εις πάντας έγεινα τα πάντα, διά να σώσω παντί τρόπω τινάς.
23 And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.
Κάμνω δε τούτο διά το ευαγγέλιον, διά να γείνω συγκοινωνός αυτού.
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
Δεν εξεύρετε ότι οι τρέχοντες εν τω σταδίω πάντες μεν τρέχουσιν, εις όμως λαμβάνει το βραβείον; ούτω τρέχετε, ώστε να λάβητε αυτό.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
Πας δε ο αγωνιζόμενος εις πάντα εγκρατεύεται, εκείνοι μεν διά να λάβωσι φθαρτόν στέφανον, ημείς δε άφθαρτον.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
Εγώ λοιπόν ούτω τρέχω, ουχί ως αβεβαίως, ούτω πυγμαχώ, ουχί ως κτυπών τον αέρα,
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
αλλά δαμάζω το σώμα μου και δουλαγωγώ, μήπως εις άλλους κηρύξας εγώ γείνω αδόκιμος.
