< Song of Solomon 1 >

1 The song of songs, which is Solomon's.
Salomo nnwom mu dwom.
2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.
Ma ɔmfa nʼano mfewano no mfew mʼano, efisɛ wo dɔ no yɛ anigye sen bobesa.
3 Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee.
Wʼaduhuam yi hua a ɛyɛ anigye; wo din te sɛ aduhuam a wɔahwie. Na ɛnyɛ nwonwa sɛ mmabaa no dɔ wo!
4 Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.
Fa me kɔ, ma yɛnyɛ ntɛm! Ma ɔhene mfa me nkɔ ne pia mu. Nnamfonom: Yebedi ahurusi na yɛn ani agye wo ho. Yɛbɛkamfo wo dɔ asen bobesa. Ababaa: Sɛ wɔkamfo wo a, na ne kwan so ara ne no!
5 I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.
Mibiri de, nanso me ho yɛ fɛ, Yerusalem mmabea, mobiri te sɛ Kedar ntamadan, te sɛ, Salomo ntamadan mu ntwamtam!
6 Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.
Nhwɛ me haw sɛ mibiri nti, efisɛ owia na ayɛ me saa. Me na mmabarima bu fuw me, enti wɔma me kɔhwɛɛ bobe nturo so; na amma manhwɛ mʼankasa me bobeturo.
7 Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions?
Kyerɛ me, me dɔfo, faako a wode wo nguankuw kɔ adidi na owigyinae nso, faako a woma wo nguan home. Adɛn nti na ɛsɛ sɛ meyɛ sɛ ɔbea a wakata nʼanim wɔ wo nnamfonom nguankuw ho?
8 If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherds' tents.
Sɛ wunnim a, mmea mu ɔhoɔfɛfo koraa, fa ɔkwan a nguan fa so so na fa wo mpapomma kɔ adidi wɔ nguanhwɛfo no ntamadan ho.
9 I have compared thee, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh's chariots.
Me dɔfo, mede wo toto ɔpɔnkɔbere a wɔde hama asa no wɔ Farao nteaseɛnam baako ho no ho.
10 Thy cheeks are comely with rows of jewels, thy neck with chains of gold.
Asokaa ama wʼafono ho ayɛ fɛ, na abohemaa a woasina agu wo kɔn mu no fata wo.
11 We will make thee borders of gold with studs of silver.
Yɛbɛyɛ sikakɔkɔɔ asokaa a wɔde dwetɛ asisi mu ama wo.
12 While the king sitteth at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth the smell thereof.
Bere a ɔhene te ne didipon ho no, nʼaduhuam hua no gyee hɔ.
13 A bundle of myrrh is my wellbeloved unto me; he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts.
Me dɔfo ayɛ me sɛ kurobow toa a ɛda me nufu ntam.
14 My beloved is unto me as a cluster of camphire in the vineyards of En-gedi.
Me dɔfo ayɛ me sɛ nhwiren boa a ayɛ frɔmfrɔm wɔ En-Gedi bobeturo mu.
15 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes.
Me dɔfo, wo ho yɛ fɛ! Ao, ahoɔfɛ ni! Wʼaniwa aba te sɛ mmorɔnoma.
16 Behold, thou art fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed is green.
Me dɔfo, wo ho yɛ fɛ! Ao, ahoɔfɛ ni! Yɛn mpa so yɛ akɔnnɔakɔnnɔ.
17 The beams of our house are cedar, and our rafters of fir.
Yɛn fi mpuran yɛ sida; yɛn nsɛmso yɛ ɔpepaw.
